Chapter 365 - Chapter 365: Simultaneous Assault!

In Oceanview City, atop a towering skyscraper, Kentra stood gazing out from the highest point—the Oceanview Tower.

This impressive structure had exactly one hundred floors, offering panoramic views of the entire city and even glimpses of the distant South Sea.

Kentra's eyes scanned the distant sky as over a dozen Trainers on Flying-type Pokémon approached, all high-level Trainers.

Instead of heading to West Sea, upon hearing that Dark Guild had seized control of Oceanview City, these elite Trainers gathered swiftly and rushed here, ready to confront the guild.

The Ellie region boasted more high-level Trainers than Sebas. Although advancing from mid-level to high-level was challenging, the larger base of mid-level Trainers in Ellie resulted in a higher number compared to Sebas.

However, the difference wasn't substantial. On the surface, the Ellie region appeared stronger than Sebas, but in reality, the gap was minimal, primarily due to disparities among mid and low-tier Trainers' abilities.

Kentra counted seventeen high-level Trainers flying towards the Oceanview Tower.

All members of the Dark Guild were stationed within this building, with researchers already present conducting their studies in the basement labs.

"Only seventeen high-level Trainers? They seriously underestimate the current Dark Guild," Kentra sneered. The Dark Guild was no longer confined to hiding beneath ruins, forced to operate in secrecy.

Now, with ample resources, they possessed more than thirty-six Genesects. The resurrection machine's efficiency had significantly increased; over ten fossils were revived daily, along with numerous transformed Genesects being produced.

Although the Ellie region's reinforcements arrived swiftly within just one day, Kentra remained unfazed.

"Arise, my mighty Genesect army!" Kentra declared grandly. While it might sound boastful now, once all the fossils were resurrected and transformed into Genesects, it would indeed be a formidable force.

Whizz! Whizz!

Behind Kentra, over forty purple discs rapidly ascended, propelled by fiery jets, hovering in mid-air with twin red lights flickering on each disc.

These purple discs were none other than Genesect, one of the few Pokémon capable of changing forms between their normal state and disc form.

In disc form, Genesects cannot engage in combat but can fly at incredible speeds. The normal state, however, is their primary battle mode, capable of executing various moves.

Over forty Genesects flew to Kentra's front, swiftly transforming into their normal state and landing on the rooftop.

The most distinctive feature of Genesects is the cannon on their back—their strongest weapon, capable of unleashing their signature move, Techno Blast.

"Guild Master."

Soon, several guild members arrived as well.

"The high-level Trainers from the Ellie region have come," Kentra said calmly. "We won't need to intervene; let them experience the might of Genesect." During the takeover of Oceanview City, the true potential of Genesect was barely unleashed—it had been a one-sided rout.

Facing seventeen high-level Trainers now presented the perfect opportunity for Genesect to showcase its full capabilities, proving that the Dark Guild's strength could no longer be underestimated or easily bullied.

Previously, the Dark Guild had infiltrated and established itself throughout the Sebas region, seemingly omnipresent. However, their actual high-tier combat power was limited, causing only mild concern for the Pokemon League. If they had decisively acted, it would have taken minimal time to eliminate the Dark Guild.

Even without that failed plan, if the Dark Guild hadn't successfully transformed enough Genesects, they would inevitably have been eradicated by the Pokemon League sooner or later.

Now, despite having fewer members, the Dark Guild wielded immense strength through the Genesects. Kentra felt no fear even if they were exposed directly, given their formidable advantage.

"The Dark Guild's reliance seems to be these Pokemon, but why haven't we seen them before?"

The seventeen high-level Trainers paused mid-air, with one of them examining the Genesects curiously.

Honestly, none of them had ever encountered such Pokemon. Genesects, ancient insect-type creatures from prehistoric times, currently had all their fossils exclusively under the control of the Dark Guild.

One could likely find scarce information about Genesects only in ancient texts, as even back then, modified versions of Genesects existed.

Kentra smiled faintly as he observed the seventeen high-level Trainers. He purposely chose the rooftop to limit their ability to deploy all their main force Pokémon, given the confined space that was fully occupied by Genesects.

High-level Trainers typically didn't rely solely on Flying-type Pokémon; most of their teams included non-fliers.

Without sufficient Flying-type Pokémon, these seventeen Trainers would struggle to command battles effectively from the air. Kentra had secured a strategic advantage based on terrain.

"Genesects, Techno Blast, fire simultaneously!" Kentra bellowed his command, feeling like an ancient general directing a vast army of Pokémon to unleash ranged attacks.

In ancient times, commanding Pokémon to execute ranged moves could decimate opponents from kilometers away.

Upon receiving the order, the large cannons on the backs of over forty Genesects rapidly charged energy, aiming directly at the seventeen high-level Trainers in the sky.

"Dodge quickly!"

The seventeen Trainers swiftly directed their Pokémon to evade the incoming Genesect assaults, scattering in various directions.

Whizzzz!

The cannons rapidly charged energy, and soon, numerous concentrated beams were unleashed, forming a dense barrage.

Despite their swift movements, the high-level Trainers couldn't entirely evade such a dense array of attacks.

"Uh-oh!"

With so many tightly packed beams, it was nearly impossible to dodge completely. Immediately, seven or eight Trainers' Pokémon were struck, causing bursts of energy to explode around them.

However, these Pokémon, belonging to high-level Trainers, were exceptionally strong and didn't succumb to just one Techno Blast attack. The trainers themselves, though, suffered injuries from the energy blasts.

Engaging in battle while riding Flying-type Pokémon is inherently challenging, especially for those who rely solely on one Flying-type Pokémon. If the combat occurs primarily in the air, they find themselves at a significant disadvantage.

"Go!"

Quickly responding, the seventeen high-level Trainers dispatched additional Pokémon. Some were Flying-types, while others possessed flying capabilities.

Compared to the number of Genesects, their Pokémon seemed outnumbered. However, by this point, the battle was inevitable; fleeing would be too humiliating.

The battle swiftly erupted, but with unfavorable terrain and unable to deploy all their Pokémon, the seventeen high-level Trainers could only muster fewer than twenty Flying-type Pokémon against over forty Genesects. The outcome was evident.

"Genesects, Techno Blast, simultaneous fire!" Kentra sneered as he issued another command. Like disciplined soldiers, the Genesects promptly obeyed, unleashing their Techno Blasts almost simultaneously.

The beams of Techno Blast aligned neatly, creating a torrential shower of light rays hurtling forward.
