Lian unleashed another Flame Spiral, utilizing the Twin Flames technique to split it into two, each possessing seventy percent of its original power.
As the Flying Mantid just began flapping its wings to take flight, the Flame Spirals collided head-on with precision guided by Lian's control mastery.
With his Control Rating at 70%, Lian could effortlessly alter the direction of his Fire-type moves. Even if opponents attempted to dodge, within a certain range, he could redirect the flames, albeit slightly weakening their potency.
The maximum impact force of a Flame Spiral is achieved when traveling in a straight line. By changing its trajectory, Lian essentially applied external force, and since the flame had already separated from him, maintaining control became more challenging, inevitably leading to some loss of power.
The second Flame Spiral targeted another flying type, a Fearow. Although Fearow's base stats were not exceptionally high, reaching advanced levels indicated significant strength.
Fearow posed little threat to Lian but still needed to be dealt with. Once all flying types were neutralized, Lian would be free to assist Celebi without worrying about interference from other Pokémon.
Once all three Trainers' Flying-type Pokémon were neutralized, Celebi would have ample opportunity to escape. Without aerial interference, only ground-based long-range Pokémon could attempt to target it with their attacks, but they wouldn't succeed against a determined and evasive Celebi.
Boom! Boom!
Both Flame Spirals hit their targets, illuminating the area with intense heat. The powerful flames struck the two Pokémon hard, particularly Scyther. Despite sensing danger, it couldn't evade in time and was directly engulfed by the flames, crashing to the ground charred and incapacitated.
Fearow, however, remained combat-ready. As a high-level Pokémon, it wasn't so easily defeated by a single Flame Spiral from Lian; otherwise, becoming a high-level Trainer would be too trivial. Nonetheless, Fearow sustained significant injuries.
Even at 70% power, the move's potency was formidable. Unfortunately, Fearow's Special Defense and Stamina were not exceptionally high, despite being level 60 or above, making its Special Defense still relatively weak.
Realizing that Fearow had some fight left, Lian didn't hesitate. He burst forth with incredible speed, instantly closing the gap between them. With a fiery fist, he struck Fearow's wing forcefully.
After being hit by the fiery blast, Fearow struggled to regain control of its flight but was swiftly knocked away by Lian's Fire Punch, like a kite cut loose from its string, crashing onto the ground and losing its combat ability.
The battle unfolded so rapidly that even the Trainers on the ground couldn't fully react. It seemed lengthy, yet in reality, it took only a few seconds.
Lian defeated two more Pokemon, leaving the tall Trainer with just two remaining against Sceptile, while on the other side, after taking down Fearow, Lian had three Pokemon left.
Witnessing Lian's performance, they were both astonished and now understood why Raichu and Feraligatr fell so quickly—it was due to the overwhelming strength of his Charizard.
"Go!" The two Trainers exchanged glances and simultaneously sent out their remaining Pokemon. Apart from the four battling Celebi, five additional Pokemon charged towards Lian.
The pressure on Lian instantly increased, but this maneuver forced all three opposing Trainers to reveal their full teams. Now, he just needed to defeat these Pokemon to secure victory.
"Kalia, I'm here to assist you!"
Just then, Julian arrived with his four Pokemon. Their strength was relatively weak, and one hadn't even reached its highest evolution stage, placing them at the level of beginner trainers.
However, Julian's arrival significantly alleviated pressure on Kalia. Despite their lower power, his four Pokemon joined the battle, helping to compensate for the numerical disadvantage.
The opposing side had to dispatch at least one Pokemon to counter Julian's team, though only one was needed due to the ease of high-level Pokemon against beginners.
A single high-level Pokemon, disregarding type advantages, could typically handle multiple opponents simultaneously. Among Julian's Pokemon, only Charizard and Ursaring were reasonably strong, while the other two, recently captured, lacked sufficient combat prowess and mainly served as support.
"Thanks," Kalia expressed her gratitude. Julian's timely assistance, although not decisive, would undoubtedly contribute to any potential victory.
As expected, one of the five enemy Pokemon headed towards Julian - a powerful Fighting-type Pangoro, charging aggressively.
Lian now had only four Pokemon remaining, but he didn't let his guard down. These were all high-level Pokemon, possessing formidable combined strength.
As Lian glanced at Kalia, he knew it was time to unleash a Z-Move. His priority was to eliminate the strongest Pokemon among the quartet using this powerful technique.
While Lian wasn't overly concerned about most of these four Pokemon, there was one exception: the Electric-type Magnezone. He needed to take it out first; otherwise, amidst simultaneous attacks from all four Pokemon, Lian would have to constantly dodge Magnezone's electric moves, inevitably leaving him vulnerable to strikes from the others.
Fending off multiple attackers simultaneously is challenging, and despite Lian's speed, facing coordinated assaults from four Pokemon meant he couldn't possibly evade every move. Even if he dodged some, others would surely hit him.
To defeat these Pokemon, Lian couldn't rely solely on blocking their moves, as that strategy would never allow him to overcome any single opponent.
Victory required accepting some damage. Thus, Lian decided to neutralize the most threatening Magnezone first. Once Magnezone was defeated, free from the risk of electric attacks, he could minimize further harm while taking down the remaining three Pokemon.
Lian's Stamina and defensive capabilities were exceptionally strong, far surpassing those of ordinary Pokemon. Consequently, defeating him quickly seemed virtually impossible for these opponents.
Kalia closely observed the battle, noticing Charizard's intense focus, immediately understanding its intent to unleash a Z-Move.
"Great!" Kalia nodded, acknowledging that a Z-Move was indeed a powerful maneuver, best utilized during critical moments. With Charizard facing four Pokemon, eliminating one would significantly reduce the pressure on it. Given Charizard's strength, there might be a chance to defeat the remaining three Pokemon. Once all four adversaries were vanquished, if Celebi still had fighting capability, Charizard could then support it.
Kalia glanced at the Z-Ring on her wrist, realizing it had been quite some time since she last used it in combat. However, regular training ensured her proficiency with the move remained intact.
"Charizard, prepare!" Kalia shouted, swiftly tapping her Z-Ring. In the next instant, a burst of light emanated, almost instantly synchronizing the Z-Ring with the Fire Z-crystal hanging around Lian's neck.
