Chapter 14 - CHAPTER 14 SHINSEIKI: BLOODLINE OF DESTINY.

Master Shinoda's confident smile faded, tension creeping into his eyes.

"Impossible… Kageyama isn't here," he muttered.

The elite warrior before him—Shinrai's captain—smirked.

"You still don't understand, Shinoda," he said.

"You're cornered. Kageyama will rise… and Akira will fall."

Master Shinoda narrowed his eyes.

"We'll see about that."

---

Meanwhile — Akira and Rina at the Mountain Base

Akira and Rina moved carefully through the forest at the mountain's base.

They hoped for shelter… but instead:

Shinrai's warriors stepped out from the shadows, forming a ring around them.

One warrior sneered.

"You can't protect the Shinseiki girl forever.

Her bloodline belongs to us."

Akira stepped forward, sword drawn.

"If you want her," he said, "you'll have to cut me down first."

Rina clutched his sleeve, fear trembling in her voice.

"Akira… be careful."

---

Ryugi's Entrance

A calm, steady voice echoed from behind them.

"Akira.

You're not fighting alone."

Akira turned—

Ryugi stood there, his posture relaxed, his eyes sharp.

Ryugi nodded once.

"Let's end this quickly.

Rina needs you more than they do."

The warriors charged.

The Mountain Battle — Akira & Ryugi vs Shinrai

The fight erupted like thunder.

Akira slashed through incoming attacks, Kōyō-Ryū energy flickering around his blade.

Ryugi moved with fluid grace—

Every strike precise

Every motion controlled

Every step a lesson in calm destruction.

"Akira," Ryugi called, "focus your breath.

Kōyō-Ryū grows stronger when your heart is steady."

Akira forced his breathing to match Ryugi's rhythm.

A surge of power lifted from his sword.

Together—

they broke the ring of warriors

one blow at a time

until the enemy was forced to retreat into the shadows.

Rina ran to Akira, relief pouring out.

"Akira-chan… thank goodness…"

Ryugi placed a hand on Akira's shoulder.

"Your training is paying off.

But this isn't over. Take her somewhere safe."

Akira nodded and lifted Rina into his arms.

But then—

Rina's body began to tremble violently.

Her veins glowed with a faint crimson light.

"Akira…" she whispered, her voice cracking, "it hurts…"

Akira's heart sank.

"Rina! Stay with me!"

Ryugi's expression tightened.

"The bloodline curse is awakening…

Take her to a doctor. Now."

---

Back at the Dojo — Master Shinoda's Battle

While Akira and Ryugi fought at the mountain,

Master Shinoda stood alone in the dojo.

Shadows crept across the tatami.

Kageyama's elite soldiers entered silently.

The captain smirked.

"Your students are cornered.

Now you die, Shinoda."

Master Shinoda exhaled slowly.

"You came all this way…

and still underestimate me."

The fight was brutal.

Wood cracked.

Swords clashed.

The floor shook.

But Master Shinoda moved with terrifying precision—

a lifetime of discipline in every motion.

One by one, the elite soldiers fell.

The captain staggered back, wounded.

"This… isn't possible…"

Master Shinoda leveled his blade at him.

"Tell Kageyama…

I'm not done yet."

The captain fled into the night, defeated.

At the Hospital

Akira carried Rina through the hospital doors, Ryugi beside him.

Doctors rushed her into a room.

Hours passed.

Akira sat outside, unable to breathe.

Finally the doctor emerged, her face dim.

"We've done what we can," she said softly.

"But the Shinseiki bloodline is unstable.

We can only keep her stable… for now."

Akira felt his chest tighten.

"No… Rina… please don't leave me…"

Ryugi placed a hand on his shoulder.

"She's fighting.

So you must fight too."

At that moment—

The door burst open.

"A-Akira!"

A breathless voice called.

It was Akimitsu, panic in his eyes.

"What happened?! Where were you?! Why didn't you tell me anything?!"

Akira swallowed hard.

"I didn't want to drag you into danger…"

Akimitsu clenched his fists.

"I'm already part of this!

We're friends, Akira. I should've been there with you."

Akira lowered his head.

"I'm sorry, Akimitsu…"

Akimitsu exhaled, calming.

"Tell me what I can do now and what about her parents ?."

I explained them and told them not to worry. Akira nodded.

Ryugi nodded respectfully.

"We need you.

All of us do."

Akimitsu stepped closer to Akira.

"Then I'm not leaving.

Not until she's safe."

Meanwhile — In the Shadow Realm

A chamber of swirling darkness pulsed with crimson energy.

From its center rose a sinister figure—

Kageshino Oni.

Kageyama's cruel and loyal commander.

"The Shinseiki power is finally awakening…" Oni whispered.

Hooded silhouettes kneeled in front of him.

"Kageyama's plan will soon reach completion.

The girl… will be ours."

His grin stretched unnaturally wide.

"And when her power breaks free…

the land will drown in shadow."
