Chapter 347 - Awakening

Fifteen Minutes Earlier...

Leo dashed forward, nowhere near enough time for his body to reach Hans in time.

BOOM!

Hans's body flew backwards at a terribly horrific speed, crashing straight through a giant pillar, crashing against the ground, and flying into the void below the completely destructed room behind them.

Leo stood in horror, watching as the crimson troll simply wiped the edge of his giant glaive against the cold stone floor.

Fear began to rise in Leo's spine.

'I have to fight that?' He thought, glancing at Chase, Luke, and Gemini who were throwing everything they had at the goddess derived in green...

'Damnit all...'

He glanced down at his body...

His own ribs were sticking straight out of his unhealed abdomen...

His shoulders were mangled and barely moveable.

And his catalyst was not only completely drained... But was beginning to crack apart from the inside.

He knew of this, because of the state that his mind was currently in... On the edge of insanity the Lion began to quake.

He could not move.

There was no way that he could.

After everything he had seen, all of the battles he had fought.

He was falling behind.

"Tch! Unacceptable..." He spat on the ground before him.

A terrible grin creeping onto his face as his catalyst slowly began to crack more and more.

If Reinhart's catalyst had survived such an attack so long ago...

Leo's mind quivered...

Then why couldn't his survive what he was going to do now...

"Hehehehe... HAHAHA! HEY YOU!" Time momentarily slowed.

The ground where Leo had once stood evaporated, blowing several shockwaves into a newly formed crater.

His mangled arm reached up, grabbing the lifeless troll's disgusting face, and forcing his energy to repair the flesh around his hand.

He began to ensnare the troll's neck with his own rapidly healing flesh...

Leo screamed with crazed laughter, the troll's distant eyes slowly looking up at him in confusion, mounted atop the very troll's shoulders.

He lowered his head closer, blood spilling onto the troll's eyes from Leo's limp jaw above.

"How does it feel?" He growled.

"Knowing that I am going to erase you from existence..." Leo grit his teeth after declaring war against this unreal beast.

His hand was now fully repaired in a completely unnatural way, acting as a cage that had trapped the troll's entire skull and neck area within his grasp.

His bronze boots were pressing downward on the troll's brutish shoulders, pushing with a newfound might, refusing to let the troll counter.

Leo lifted his left hand, his own sister smile never fading.

He had no weapon.

He had barely any armor.

And yet...

His hand began to shift and untangle itself in the air.

At this point the troll had begun to move, lowering its body and building up energy within its knees.

Leo could see what the troll was going to do with one quick glance.

He grinned, as the horrifying blade made of his own flesh began to form atop his left elbow.

He threw his body back, his hips stretching unnaturally as the top of his head was inches from the ground, the very second that the troll launched himself upward.

Leo felt his catalyst crack once more, sending a terrible pain through his body and mind alike.

He twisted his upper body, forcing his flesh to bend to his very will.

Leo laughed- a terrible gargling-like and inhuman noise. Then he reeled his left arm back and braced himself before the troll's back crashed against the ceiling, shaking the entire room from his unending might.

Leo slashed at the troll's left arm, his hardened flesh shattering against the troll's unbreakable skin.

'Incredible...'

His grin widened as they began to descend.

The troll tilted its body backwards, forcing Leo into a position where there was no way that he wouldn't be crushed from the fall.

So he embraced it, his catalyst threatening to shatter as he forced it with the entirety of his soul.

His flesh thinned.

He felt his organs get punctured and skewered from the horrible ways he was making his body shift and change.

As it threatened to destroy him... He remembered Neveah, how she had thought outside of the box. She had essentially created her own system outside of the laws of human knowledge.

Leo wore a grin internally as externally... His body had no shape.

He became a thousand strings of flesh, skin, and bone- Each slivers the size of a thread.

He stretched around the troll like an unraveled ball of yarn, his organs floating in the air around them as they neared the ground at astonishing speeds.

Then...

The troll lifted a scarlet eyebrow in surprise.

Leo's face reformed above the troll, mangled and poorly rebuilt. But he was grinning...

Then his body began to reform itself, tightening around the troll, encaging it in his own flesh.

'I will...

Win...'

They hit the ground with deafening blow, sending shockwaves in every direction.
