Chase awoke within a violent raging storm.
Projected onto the sky above... Was his dead body...
Radiating with energy... So much energy that the inner world began to tremble.
In front of Chase...
Luna sat...
Looking into his eyes as tears streamed down her face.
"You're crazy..." She muttered, lifting her sleeves up to cleanse her face.
Chase grinned.
"Indeed."
The storm raged further, as crimson lightning began to crash into the ground of his mental space.
It was violent... Vicious... And yet... The most beautiful thing he had ever seen.
"Are you ready?" Chase asked, his smile never leaving his face.
"How do you know it will work?" Luna asked, looking up at Chase's standing figure with awe.
Chase chuckled.
"That's the thing..."
He looked up at the sky.
"I don't..."
...
Deep within the underworld, a young girl with twisting horns and a crazed grin embraced a giant serpent...
She pet its giant fangs as it began to tremble... Its crimson serpentine eyes looking up at the vast scarlet ceiling of the underworld...
"Do you feel that Tenky?!" She asked, nearly jumping with joy as her horns began to vibrate with such intensity that she couldn't help but smile like the devil that she was.
The beast croaked, shivering under the might currently taking place in the living world.
"That's big brother, Tenky!" She yelped giddily, squeezing the fang of the serpent.
Then she frowned.
"But don't you worry little guy! We can play with big brother soon enough!" She yelled excitedly, pointing up at the ceiling with pure obsession.
...
Michael formed wall of ice after wall of ice, denying the battle that Hextra was trying to accelerate.
"Neveah! I need you to go on attack!" Michael yelled as Neveah crashed into the ground next to Leo, who was being repaired with the ice from Michael's right hand.
She frowned.
Then smacked Leo on the back of the head.
"Do you know what you did!?" She yelled, gripping her greatsword even tighter.
"When the hell did your eye grow back? And why is it golden?" Leo said between heavy breaths as he leaned against her.
"It's glowing...?" Michael called out, tilting his head as another wall of ice formed between them and the lesser goddess.
"Huh?" Neveah asked, reaching up and putting a finger in front of her new eye.
Sure enough, golden light was radiating onto her finger...
...
Poppy shut her eyes, unable to watch the horrid fight on the projection before them.
Zephyr was now standing.
He was clenching his fists with draconic might, baring his fangs as he internally demanded Chase to get back up.
Dorian was also watching with not even a single blink of his eyes.
Because...
Unlike Neo, Poppy, and Ivy...
They could feel the power radiating throughout the underworld.
"Wait! It can't be time yet! It's too soon! You must stop this Zephyr!" Dorian yelled, slamming his fist on the table and standing up.
"It is too late Devil of Riches... The heir... Is going to break the second seal..." Zephyr said, his eyes glowing in awe as the underworld trembled under the terrible force, causing all of Vallmora... To be engulfed in earthquakes...
...
In the vast expansion of nothingness... Equan sat alone.
He had accepted his demise rather easily...
He had known that he had let his anger get the best of him...
And yet, he was content.
He trusted that his friends could deal with that monster...
However, there was a sliver of doubt resting in his soul.
Hence why he had not moved onto the next life... Why he had not ventured to the afterlife just yet.
He had to see it through...
And yet...
He remained...
Until...
He felt a violent jolt...
Lightning crashed into the ground of this expansion.
"Hello?" Equan asked in confusion.
"Why hello child of Lightning..." A voice answered back. It was old... Ancient almost.
Yet, it was filled with a strange comfort... A reassurance...
"Do you know what I am going to ask you?" The voice asked, causing Equan to look up at the expanse above.
"If I want to move on? Pass into the fields of peace?" Equan asked sadly.
"Wrong... Just as I suspected." The voice laughed.
Equan tilted his head.
Then... Although reluctantly.
He turned around, meeting the gaze of a being made entirely of electricity...
"What-"
"You are going to ask what I am... Well don't... It's best you learn as time goes on... So take this as your first lesson..." The voice laughed once more, electricity boiling in its gut as it looked down at the fallen archer.
"What are you talking about?" Equan asked, feeling something strange radiate through his body.
"Haha! You feel it don't you? The hope that still burns within the hearts of humanity!" Volaris laughed like a crazed man.
"WELL GOOD! BECAUSE I DID NOT PERMIT YOU TO DIE YOUNG ARCHER!"
...
In the real world... Equan's body jolted...
What had once been a human heart... Had shifted its form... Its purpose...
He had become a battery...
Energy circulated through his dead body like a generator... Forcing it to twitch and convulse... Almost trying to refuse the inevitable.
All it took...
Was Equan's decision... The last piece of the puzzle...
On the other side of the battlefield...
Energy began to circulate through the bones and ash of Chase's being...
Until...
It began to rebuild itself... Convulsing terribly as the organs began to rebuild themselves...
Then...
A heartbeat...
A second heartbeat of a different kind.
The hearts began to beat on opposite ends...
A strange force radiating through the battlefield.
Michael looked at the glowing form of Chase's lifeless body with awe.
Leo grinned like a madman, using all of his will to force his energy to reignite itself, forming a blade with his own arm's flesh.
Hans dangled from the ledge, refusing to fall into the void below. He could feel it as well.
The tides of battle...
Were shifting...
Ever changing...
And Neveah could feel this as well.
Because her eye had begun to glow even brighter...
She could feel Leander's last will... Making itself known to mankind...
Gabriel appeared, taping up his hands as he grit his teeth, preparing himself for the final stretch...
Luke swallowed the blood building up in his throat, glancing at Equan's corpse from afar... Only to realize...
That energy was building up around it...
Separate bolts of lightning were hovering around his fallen figure... Glowing...
Crimson...
...
"JUST TELL ME WHEN!" Jacob screamed, feeling the quakes tremble beneath Olympia...
His hands were prepared... He was afraid... But the shackles on his chains were one click away from falling off...
'When the sun begins to rise...' Ivy responded... She was almost... In a trance...
Justin gasped in awe... Looking up at the sky...
"What is it?" Brody asked, before looking up and being starstruck at the sight.
Jacob's vision followed.
Above in the moonlit sky...
A falling star was descending upon Olympia...
