After breakfast, Javier found himself standing in front of his mother's room, his palms sweaty, heart beating fast.
He swallowed hard, glancing over his shoulder at Liana and Gloria, who stood just behind him.
"Young master? Aren't you going in?" Liana asked quietly.
"You two… you'll stay with me, right?" Javier pleaded.
"Yes, young master. Don't worry. Just go inside," Gloria reassured him.
"Alright… just… don't leave me, okay?"
"Yes, young master."
But before Javier could even raise his hand to knock, the door swung open. Francesca appeared, smiling serenely as she took Javier by the wrist. Her gaze landed on Liana and Gloria.
"My, my… Liana, Gloria~?"
"Y-yes, my lady?" they answered, stiffening under her gentle tone.
"Go and meet with Erinnette."
Liana and Gloria hesitated, exchanging nervous glances. But when Francesca's smile brightened by a single, terrifying watt, they both shuddered.
"Go~ meet Erinnette right now. I'm sure she has something to say to you."
