"They want permission to establish a force in the Divine Realm."
The hall instantly became colder.
Arvantos continued, "They also want independent freedom to move throughout the Divine Realm, interact with other forces, and conduct their own affairs, provided they do not openly slaughter our people or destroy our territories."
The ten geniuses frowned almost at the same time.
That condition was far too much.
Letting devils enter the Divine Realm was already dangerous. Allowing them to create their own force and move freely among the sects, clans, empires, and hidden organizations of the Divine Realm was even worse. The devils might not need to slaughter anyone openly. They could tempt ambitious cultivators, corrupt weaker factions, manipulate internal disputes, buy information, plant spies, and slowly create chaos from within.
