"Dumbledore. We're leaving now. Voldemort has gone to Downing Street! His target is very likely the Muggle Prime Minister!"
After putting away the mirror, Kasen immediately pulled Dumbledore to his feet.
Dumbledore quickly instructed Professor McGonagall and Grindelwald to protect Hogwarts, then the two of them appeared on the rooftop of a building on Downing Street.
Dumbledore looked up at the sickly green Dark Mark in the sky, visible only to wizards, and sighed. "Tom is becoming more and more insane."
Kasen, on the other hand, did not have nearly as many thoughts. He directly used Ender teleportation to enter Number Ten Downing Street.
The entire building had already fallen into chaos.
Many students Kasen recognised were rushing back and forth through the building. When they saw him arrive, they merely smiled in surprise before continuing with their tasks. Of course, some of them were also stopping the ordinary Muggle guards and ordering them to lower their guns.
"Professor! What's the situation now?"
Liam heard the sound of Ender teleportation and quickly jogged over.
"I should be asking you. How long has the Dark Mark been there?" Kasen asked.
"Less than a minute."
"Dumbledore came with me. In a moment, he and I will handle things outside..."
Before Kasen could finish speaking, the entire building suddenly began shaking violently.
Flames like something from the end of the world burst up from underground, tearing through the road surface.
"Is that Fiendfyre?" Liam asked in alarm as he looked through the window.
"Fiendfyre doesn't have that kind of impact force. It's ordinary fire mixed with a little explosive magic. Dumbledore will deal with it," Kasen explained.
Sure enough, almost the instant the flames appeared, a torrential downpour began pouring from the sky.
Visibility across the entire street, perhaps even the entire city, instantly dropped until people could barely see their hands in front of their faces.
"Tell the media to publish a report immediately saying that a gas pipeline beneath Downing Street leaked and exploded. Then coordinate with the other departments and have them fabricate an underground gas pipeline beneath Downing Street as quickly as possible!" Liam said rapidly.
"You're pretty competent as the Prime Minister's secretary," Kasen remarked.
As he spoke, he looked out at the torrential rain that reduced visibility to almost nothing.
Then Guardian essentia from the entire Thaumcraft system spread outward from Kasen's body, covering the entire building.
"Professor, what is this?" Liam asked in surprise as he felt the magic.
"When you have time, read more of the papers I wrote. Or just buy my Complete Book of Kasen's Alchemy. This is Guardian essentia. It'll stop this building from being smashed apart by one slap from that lunatic Voldemort."
After saying that, Kasen took out his Ars Nouveau spellbook.
"Give this book to the Prime Minister."
After handing over the Ars Nouveau spellbook, Kasen still felt somewhat uneasy.
Thinking that one book for offence and one for defence would be safer, he also took out his Thaumonomicon.
"And this one too. These two books will protect the Prime Minister."
"Yes, Professor!"
Liam had just reached out to take the books when they suddenly broke free from Kasen's hands and flew off on their own in the direction of the Prime Minister.
Seeing this, Liam had the strange feeling that the two books had just rejected him.
"Sir, about those two books... I mean no offence, but I find it difficult to believe that two books can accomplish very much. The Prime Minister is already being protected by an entire security detail and several wizarding colleagues."
Another man, dressed impeccably and appearing to be in his forties, walked over and voiced his doubts.
Liam nearly covered the man's mouth on the spot, then looked apologetically at Kasen.
"Mr Cade doesn't know who you are."
"I understand."
Kasen tried to use his monocle and the window to observe the vague figures flickering in and out of the rain.
"Mr Cade just mentioned that there are other wizards protecting the Prime Minister. Do I know them?"
"One is Sadel Jones from Gryffindor, and the other is Arthur Morgan from Hufflepuff. They're both very capable juniors," Liam explained.
"I always thought Arthur was from a wizarding family," Kasen said somewhat speechlessly.
"I'm a proper old-fashioned English Muggle-born wizard, Professor!"
Arthur Morgan's voice came from one of the rooms inside.
"So when I showed you that documentary back then, you didn't feel anything at all?" Kasen called back.
"I'm really not good at that sort of thing!"
Kasen did not continue arguing with Arthur, because through his monocle and the hazy curtain of rain, he had already spotted a tall, thin figure waving a wand.
He quickly took out a Thorns enchanted book and some lapis lazuli, crushed them together into a lump of magical power, and slapped it onto the window in front of him.
The spell cast by the tall figure struck the glass.
Thanks to the Guardian essentia, the window barely reacted.
But the wizard who had cast the spell exploded on the spot.
Another figure appeared nearby, but before he could do anything, Dumbledore, standing high above, killed him outright.
"Professor, I need to know the situation."
There was a commotion from inside the room, and before long, the Prime Minister emerged with Kasen's two books floating beside him, while Arthur and Sadel followed behind.
"I need to know what the situation is, Professor Kasen!" the Prime Minister said.
"The situation is that we're out in the open while the enemy is hidden. However, they can't Apparate directly into this building, and with this rain, they also can't snipe you from long range," Kasen explained.
"So we're relatively safe for now?" the Prime Minister asked.
"Not entirely. They may decide to use a coordinated blasting spell and flatten the entire building," Kasen said with a shrug.
The moment he finished speaking, he sensed a dangerous presence.
A spell cast by an ordinary Death Eater would never make him feel threatened.
Which meant this spell was most likely cast personally by Voldemort.
His Guardian essentia had been spread evenly across every part of the building, so naturally, its strength at any single point was somewhat lacking.
The building was almost certainly going to break apart.
At this point, protecting the people came first.
Kasen pulled out a dense stack of enchanted books, crushed them one by one, then applied the enchantments to everyone present.
"You two, take the Prime Minister back into the room."
The instant Kasen finished speaking, the two windows in front of him, along with an entire section of wall, were blasted apart.
Almost immediately, Kasen pressed the button on the pocket watch he had placed in his pocket from the very beginning.
Five seconds of frozen time gave him enough time to destroy every shard of stone and spike of steel that had been turned into shrapnel as deadly as grenade fragments.
Then a figure far too familiar appeared through the opening.
"Professor Kasen. I knew you would appear here."
Voldemort floated in mid-air not far outside the breach.
