Chapter 486 - 486: I k*lled 91 people... well, yesterday.

Next was Kasenhis.

He stood up and politely shook Mordred's hand, though he still had no idea just how powerful this old man actually was...

"Umm... and you are?"

"A nobody," Mordred said with a shrug.

"Alright."

Kasenhis nodded, released his hand, and sat back down.

"This is my senior schoolmate, the final inheritor and master of ancient magic, as well as..." Dumbledore began, only to be interrupted halfway through by Mordred.

"That's enough. Once this matter is settled, I still need to make a trip to Antarctica."

"Alright. Then perhaps we should divide up the assignments. Two people per team. Any objections?"

As Dumbledore spoke, he only looked at Kasenhis, Grindelwald, and Mordred.

Clearly, everyone else had been automatically excluded from the mission.

"We could just make it four against four. Why take the risk of letting two of them escape?" Kasenhis asked in confusion.

"Because if we fight one-on-one, we won't just risk letting two escape. We'll also risk injury and death," Dumbledore explained.

With that, the teams were naturally settled.

Dumbledore and Grindelwald formed one team, while Kasenhis was paired with Mordred.

Kasenhis looked at Mordred sitting beside him.

"Sorry, I'd never heard of you before."

Mordred nodded.

"That's normal. Do you know a book called A Segment of Hogwarts History?"

Kasenhis nodded.

"Do you know why it's only a segment of Hogwarts history?"

Kasenhis shook his head.

"Because they deleted the part of history where I existed," Mordred said faintly.

Hermione, who was sitting not far away pretending to read while secretly listening in, frowned.

She immediately pulled the massive book out of her Undetectable Extension Charmed bag and began flipping through it, wanting to see whether she could find any trace of Mordred.

Then Hermione discovered that, if she followed the timeline, what Mordred had said really did line up with the book.

There was a blank period of roughly three years in A Segment of Hogwarts History.

And the very first record after that three-year gap was Dumbledore.

The chain of evidence was questionable, but judging purely by the timeline, Mordred really was Dumbledore's senior.

Kasenhis, meanwhile, had no idea what to say.

In the end, he simply shook Mordred's hand again.

"What's this for?" Mordred asked.

"To show respect," Kasenhis replied.

Mordred shrugged and said nothing.

Dumbledore, on the other hand, had plenty to say.

He called Sirius, Lupin, and a large group of adults into another room, where he basically told them to stay behind and guard the house properly.

Meanwhile, Kasenhis and Grindelwald sat on either side of Mordred, awkwardly rubbing their chins.

Both of them had somehow started cosplaying as awkward scholars.

Before long, Dumbledore came back out.

"We can start now. Pick anywhere you like. We're going to Cumberburg."

"Random assignment, then? In that case, shall we go to Pottermelin?" Kasenhis asked, turning to Mordred.

"Fine."

Mordred nodded.

In the next instant, the two of them were already hovering above Pottermelin.

"Found him."

Standing beside Kasenhis, Mordred pointed toward a secluded manor.

Kasenhis had also sensed that magical presence.

He immediately took out an Ender Pearl, charged it, and sealed off the surrounding space.

"I still don't know who you actually are, but Dumbledore clearly respects you."

The two landed on the ground and leisurely began walking toward the manor when Kasenhis suddenly spoke.

"It's not exactly a good reputation," Mordred explained somewhat awkwardly.

"Alright."

Kasenhis pulled out a potion bottle, planning to hit the other people in the village with a mass Blindness Potion.

But Mordred moved even faster.

A curtain of light enveloped the entire manor, and an illusion resembling a mirage replaced the original estate, allowing the two people inside the barrier to act however they pleased.

The moment the barrier spell was completed, several wizards walked out of the manor.

One of them nearly made Kasenhis's eyes pop out.

"Wait, what? I hit you that hard back then. How are you still not dead?"

Kasenhis stared in utter disbelief at the very much alive Barty Crouch Jr.

Barty didn't answer.

He simply fired a Killing Curse at him.

One of the mechanical arms behind Kasenhis shot forward and shattered the curse.

"I've killed you so many times already and you still haven't died. Looks like fate really doesn't want you dead. In that case, I won't kill you this time. Maybe it would be better to leave that opportunity to your father."

As Kasenhis spoke, he pulled out his little wooden axe and tapped twice at empty space.

Barty Crouch Jr. was instantly imprisoned inside obsidian.

"You'd better kill me now! If I ever see him, I'll bite his throat out!"

Kasenhis pulled out a lump of wool and stuffed it into Barty Crouch Jr.'s mouth.

"Tell your father that yourself. I don't like any form of Ministry of Magic, but surprisingly, your father has actually done a decent job."

As for another wizard who had come outside, Mordred compressed him flat with raw magical power the instant he appeared.

Literally flat.

A pancake.

"How long does he plan to hide in there like a turtle? Is he still not coming out?"

Mordred looked toward a figure inside the manor.

"My apologies. I simply didn't expect Dumbledore to think so highly of me that he would even invite you here."

Voldemort slowly walked out of the manor.

"You know me too?" Mordred asked.

"Obviously. Back when I was a student, Professor Slughorn told me about your deeds. You were something of an idol of mine."

"Oh, I know a little about you too. I heard you've killed quite a few people," Mordred said.

"If we only count those I killed personally, approximately ninety-one."

Voldemort sounded rather proud.

After all, in a magical population of just over three thousand, personally killing ninety-one people really was an unusually high proportion.

But Mordred shattered his composure with a single sentence.

"Oh, I killed that many about yesterday?"

Kasenhis stared at Mordred in complete confusion.

"Huh?"

Mordred shook his head.

"Stop asking questions like that. But as your senior, I can teach you a little from my own experience killing enemies."

Kasenhis scratched his head.

"So?"

"The greatest faith comes from humanity's love."

Kasenhis stared at him.

"Which fucking Mordred are you?"
