[3rd POV]
"So, Aphrodite, what are you going to do now? Besides subtly glancing at my crotch" Morgan asked, as she sat across from Aphrodite. They were at a local cafe that she owned in Kuoh. It was a nice little place that made a fantastic macchiato. Their croissants were heavenly as well.
Aphrodite flushed slightly at the teasing, as she had indeed been glancing at Morgan's crotch consistently. She could see just how hung the woman truly was, and it was hard not to look at it.
Her body reacted just thinking about it.
"Um...I'm not sure to be honest" Aphrodite responded after a few moments of thought, shaking off the bright red flush that coated her beautiful cheeks. She had never thought about what she wanted to do.
The idea of returning back to Olympus, the home of the Greek Gods was...frankly, not appealing at all. She found the place to be quite frankly, miserable to live in. Not because it was ugly or painful or anything. But because of the people that actually lived in the damn place.
The city was full of the most arrogant, stuck up, piece of shit Gods in the world. Or at least a lot of them. People like Ares who constantly tried to harass her and attempt to seduce her. People like Athena and Artemis who both seem to despise her for some reason, simply because she was the God of Love and Sex.
Just because she was the God of Love and Sex, didn't mean she was a whore. Which is what they seemed to think of her as. Aphrodite didn't understand why they hated her so much. It couldn't be just because of that reason, right?
Athena was the Goddess of Wisdom, there was no way that she truly despised her simply because she was the Goddess of love. That was...stupid. And being stupid went against Athena's nature.
It had to be something else, but she had never found out what that "Else" had been. She had a feeling it was something inconsequential and meaningless. That was the tendency for Gods in general for some reason. As they hated a lot of things for little reason.
"Would you like to stay here?" Morgan asked, wanting Aphrodite to stay. The woman would be a great addition to the faction, and would be an even greater one to her peerage, should she manage to get her to join.
There were several Shinto gods that had willingly joined other peerages, but most of them were the weaker Shinto Gods, and not any of the bigger and more important ones, like Inari. Aphrodite would be a great addition to her peerage with the type of powers that she had.
Her charm based power would be great against Trihexa. As Morgan had already researched into it, and found charm based magic could hypothetically affect the mind of Trihexa, should it be powerful enough.
And as far as Morgan knew, Aphrodite had the strongest charm magic in the world, stronger than any other God of any other pantheon. This was partially because she is technically a Titan, and not a God. As she was made from the sea foam that formed when Kronos had castrated his father Ouranos and tossed his genitals into the sea.
The foam that formed from that then eventually gave birth to Aphrodite.
Greek Mythology was weird as shit.
"I...you'd really let me stay here? In Kuoh with you? Even though the rest of my pantheon undoubtedly wants you dead?" Aphrodite asked in shock, not expecting that out of Morgan at all.
"Sure, I don't see why not. And I don't think all of your pantheon is going to want to kill me. There are some there that are a lot smarter than you think, and some that would rather avoid war with the strongest faction in the world. At the very least, I'm pretty confident that Hestia will not want war" Morgan responded with a nod, as Aphrodite blinked.
"...Yeah I suppose that is true. Hestia hates all things war, and would rather for us to settle peacefully. The only other one that I am confident would not want war is Hephaestus, and that is just because it would take away from his time in the forge. Well that, and he hates pretty much everyone in that pantheon besides Hestia and I. And quite frankly, I cannot see any route in which we would win a war like that anyways" Aphrodite replied, agreeing with her assessment of Hestia. And adding her two cents about Hephaestus.
"The only chance your pantheon would have is if it allied with the other remaining pantheons that are not with me already, like the Shinto, or the Norse who are allied with me. You'd need the Hindu, the Aztec, the Egyptian, the Roman, the Celtic. You'd need all the pantheons working in unity in order to stand a chance against my faction" Morgan said bluntly, not sugar coating it.
"Ah...so basically they stand absolutely no chance. Because Zeus would rather die than work with that many pantheons, especially when he has his petty little rivalry with so many of them. And I have a feeling the other pantheons are exactly the same. Except maybe the Hindu, but I doubt they'd even bother trying, they're too smart for that" Aphrodite replied with a nod, understanding that they were doomed.
Honestly she was supposed to be more saddened about that. But she couldn't find it in herself to care that much. The Greek Gods had proven time and time again why they could not be trusted, and proven to her over and over why she should hate them. Why she did rightfully hate them.
Whereas Morgan seemed far more accepting of the idea of her joining them. Not only that, but she didn't seem to hate her or look down on her simply because of the domain that she had power over. For all intents and purposes, Morgan seemed far more appealing to work with than her own pantheon.
Which was not a good look on the Greek Gods. But Aphrodite had a feeling that they would not really care. They'd probably just be mad that she had betrayed them. But in her defense, it's hard not to betray them when they treat her like shit for thousands of years.
"So, do you want to stay in Kuoh with me?" Morgan asked again, wanting to get confirmation from the woman in front of her. She wanted Aphrodite, she knew that much. The woman was not like she was depicted in myth, not even remotely.
And that made her far more appealing to her. Because the one that was explained in mythology was...not exactly the nicest of Goddesses, and was very well known for cheating on her partner Hephaestus, and sleeping with tons of other Gods.
But in this world she had never slept with...anyone. Not only that, but she was certainly never married to Hephaestus, and was actually friends with him. He was one of the few Gods in the pantheon that she liked. And he was one of the few that Aphrodite could totally see joining the Heavenly Demonic Faction.
The man cared for forging and his demigod children more than anything. And he would definitely join them if she provided protection for his children, and showed him some of the more impressive forges that her people possessed.
Morgan's faction had the greatest forges in the world, and they were only continuing to get better. As Morgan used them all the time, so she constantly found ways to better them. And in return, she improved all other forges that the other blacksmiths around the Underworld utilized.
"I...actually...I have a question of my own" Aphrodite began, as Morgan raised an eyebrow in interest.
"And what it's that question?"
"...Instead of just staying in Kuoh with you, can I join your faction?" Aphrodite asked, as she locked eyes with Morgan. Morgan looked surprised at the question, as she activated one of her many abilities from her domains.
She read the woman's emotions, and whether or not she was lying. And after standing there for a few moments, Morgan clearly saw what she was feeling.
'She's being entirely truthful. I'd say that was surprising if she had asked me before this, but after talking with her for so long...it's not that surprising. And she'd make a great addition to my peerage, plus...that figure of hers' Morgan thought, eyes trailing over Aphrodite's figure as a smirk formed on her face, while Aphrodite blushed again feeling the gaze.
And as Morgan locked eyes with Aphrodite, her smirk widened into a smile, as she spoke.
"Welcome to the Heavenly Demonic Faction, I truly hope you enjoy it here~"
