Chapter 15 - His house....

Liah's pov

I went out of the house and hailed a cab. I could feel how hard my heart was beating. But why am I this excited? It's just a study session. Even as I thought this, I couldn't help the smile that spread across my face.

After about 40 minutes, I arrived at Dylan's place. As I paid the driver and stepped down, I marveled at the house before me. It was so big and beautiful. Looks like Dylan's family is really rich. I made my way to the front door and pressed the doorbell, waiting eagerly for a response.

Dylan's pov

Sitting on the sofa in the living room, I kept on looking at the front door with unwavering focus waiting for the girl who makes my heart race to arrive. I finally heard the doorbell ring and I rushed to the door to open the door without bothering to check who it was through the peephole. I opened the door enthusiastically only to be disappointed. The person at the door wasn't the girl I was waiting for, it was Lan. I glared unceremoniously at the guy smiling widely at the door. As if sensing my frustration, his smile faded a bit.

"Hey buddy" he said nervously

"What is it" I snapped at him.

"Woah, take a chill pill bro. Did I do anything to annoy you?" He said.

I looked at his face before looking around, really hoping to see the girl but I was disappointed.

"Are you waiting for someone?" Lan's question made me turn to look at him again.

"Yes, I am. So you really need to leave now" I said to him.

"Ouch bro, you hurt my feelings" he said with a mock hurt expression. I rolled my eyes at him as I turned to go back inside.

"Are you really leaving me here? You are not doing this to me, are you?" He kept on ranting as I ignored him and entered back into the house. I plunged on the sofa half-heartedly and looked at my watch with furrowed brows, where is she? It's already 5pm.

10 minutes later, I heard the bell ring again. I sprang on my feet and rushed to the door again. I opened the door and this time I wasn't disappointed. Instead of disappointment, I was filled with shock and admiration. The girl standing before me smiling is the most beautiful girl i've ever set my eyes on. Her blue eyes as clear and bright as the springs, her flawless pretty face as smooth as peeled egg and white as snow, her little nose was pointed, her plump red lips were pursed begging to be kissed, her wavy black hair cascaded down her shoulders. Her figure was so impeccable that I could feel myself drooling.

"Ahem" she coughed lightly and that brought me back to my senses.

"Oh, I...I'm.... I'm sorry. You're welcome. Please come in" I stammered and opened the door wide to allow her in.

Liah's pov

I blushed as I looked at his handsome face. He looked so fresh today dressed in a bright yellow shirt with white shorts. I entered the house and was amazed with how beautiful the interior was, it was even more beautiful than the outside. I took a seat on the sofa and looked at him as he sat beside me with just a little space between us

"So do we start now?" I asked him

"What's the rush? Shouldn't you be admiring my handsome face first?" He asked with a teasing smile. I blushed at his words. What a narcissist.

"Unfortunately there's nothing for me to admire, you're not that handsome" I said and glared at him playfully.

"Oh really" he said, his smile growing wider as he leaned towards me covering the little space between us. I blushed at our close proximity and leaned back a little to give some space between us.

"What are you doing? What if your parents walk in on us?" I asked him.

"They're not at home right now" he said with a raised brow.

"Really?" I asked and sighed in relief.

"But just because they're not at home doesn't mean no one else is at home" he said with a sly smile and leaned towards me again, covering the little space I had created. Just at that moment, a middle aged woman walked out from a room by the left with some clothes in her hands. She looked at us before smiling and going up the stairs.

I quickly pushed Dylan away and stood up from the sofa, my eye darting left and right. God, that was so embarrassing. I glared at the guy on the sofa who was already rolling with laughter. I picked up a nearby pillow and hit him repeatedly with it.

"Ok ok, I'm sorry." He said still laughing. I ignored him and kept on hitting him. How can he embarrass me like that. It is said that first impression matters and I'm sure the woman's first impression on me wouldn't be good now. It's all his fault.

"Hey, Liah I said I'm sorry" he said as he finally stopped laughing. He held my hands and pulled me causing me to fall into his arms. Scared that the woman will walk in on us again, I tried standing up but he placed his hand on the bare skin at my waist holding me tightly. My face turned a deep shade of red as I looked at his devilishly handsome face.

Oh God!! This guy's gonna drive me crazy.

"Have you gone mad. Auntie's at home. I'm already embarrassed, do you want to embarrass me further?" I questioned him. This guy is too shameless. Is he not scared of getting caught?

He didn't answer but kept on staring at my face. Is there something on my face or does he think I'm ugly?

"Is there something on my face?" I could hold back any longer and asked him.

A few seconds after my question, he finally let me go and stood up.

"Have you had anything to eat?" He asked me.

"No, not yet" I replied him.

"Ok, I'll ask aunty Jane to whip up something for you to eat" he said and turned to go upstairs.

"No need. I can eat when I get home"

"Do you think I will let you teach me with an empty stomach? You won't concentrate and I don't want you teaching me unfocused so just hold on bit while auntie makes something for you to eat" he said and tapped my nose before turning to head upstairs. I looked at his broad back as he went upstairs and couldn't help but imagine what it would feel like if he carried me on his back.

What am I thinking again? Get a grip, Liah!!
