Chapter 98 - Chapter 98 – Zemelja’s Markets

Paulina's POV

It was all fun for all of us to have some rounds and sharpen our skills in a place like this. Benjamín used his ability known as Fire Lions, which was an S-ranked, hereditary (inherited in the family) ability that summon flaming lions to attack foes, at a few scary monsters. This consumes them in seconds, and we were stunned and in awe to see that.

Katsuko already knew that because he was a close friend to him, and he was proud of him.

As for me, I practiced my magic, as well as my healing ability on any of us who suddenly got injured here.

Tej then showed his healing ability to us, before explaining to us that he was disregarded by his former party and got kicked out by them a long time.

We were shocked, and Chivo sympathized with him and shared his similar past experience with his former party. Tej was stunned at Chivo's account and felt comforted by it.

And then, it was now past 3 o'clock, and most of us were hungry for a snack. So, I proposed to go Zemelja's markets for a few cheap foods like bread, cheese, and even some meat pies. Basilio and Ormoc agreed, and they came along with me to that place inside the walls' perimeters while the rest of the others remained on the spot.

And so, in Zemelja's busy market streets, the three of us are now shopping for snacks. It was quite busy at this hour, to be honest. As we browsed for various food options, Basilio said to us, "Hey, ate, kuya, this reminds me of something…"

"What is it?" Ormoc asked while looking at him.

"Do you remember noong buhay pa ako sa inyong mundo, pumupunta tayo sa palengke na tayong lang at minsan kasama sina mama at papa?"

That question had given us a flashback where we done that many times back in our world and back when he was still living in that world.

This moment really resonated that memory of our past together back then…

Basilio's POV

And then, we picked up a few snacks like loaves of cheap, whole-wheat bread and a few cheeses and fruits like apples in cheap prices. Kamal's currency is called the Taanbas, and most of the food prices here is reasonable. We luckily have a couple of Taanbas on hand for this trip.
