Chapter 447 - Convergence of Steel and Shadow

The red runes ignited, carving across its chest. Not deep—but enough. The glow flickered, just slightly.

The fox's smile widened. "…Found that too."

Behind her, the sword and spear shifted again, repositioning, waiting.

Above, the ape's eyes narrowed. *She's analyzing it… Already?*

Below, the fox tilted her head slightly. Lightning tightened around her body. Stance lowering. Focused.

"…Alright." A soft exhale. "…Let's break your toy."

The fox stepped in—exactly where the ape wanted her. For the first time, the ape smiled without restraint. "…Got you."

His fingers twisted the jade disc—not once, but **three times in rapid succession.**

**CLICK. CLICK. CLICK.**

The air changed instantly. The space around the fox **locked.** Lines of jade light erupted beneath her feet, spreading outward in sharp geometric patterns—a **formation.** Not crude. Not rushed. **Prepared.**

It rose around her—a cage of layered energy, rotating, shifting, sealing.

The moment it completed, **pressure dropped.** Then—**reversed.**

Gravity twisted, pulling inward from all directions—not crushing like the lizard's, but **binding. Restricting. Locking movement.**

The fox's body halted mid-step. Not frozen—but slowed. Heavily.

The armored warrior didn't hesitate. It lunged, blade forming again, driving straight toward her core.

At the same time, the ape moved above, staff spinning, energy gathering along its length—not holding back anymore. Everything converged. Perfect timing. Perfect setup.

Inside the formation, the fox stood still. For a fraction of a second. Then she laughed. Soft. Low. "…So this is it?"

Her eyes lifted slightly—not at the warrior, not at the formation—but at **him.** "…You think this is enough?"

The warrior's blade was already inches away. The pressure tightened. The formation sealed—perfect. Space folded inward around her—tight, layered, inescapable.

The warrior struck. The staff descended. Everything converged. For a moment, it looked like checkmate.

But the fox didn't resist. Didn't struggle. Didn't even try to break free. She watched. And smiled. "…Greedy." Soft. Amused.

The ape didn't respond. It wasn't watching *her.* It was watching **her weapons.**

The moment they shifted—it moved. The staff spun.

**WHOOOM!**

Not toward her, but outward. A pulse. Strange. Distorting. The sword **flickered.** The spear **stuttered.** The saber—even in her control—trembled.

Then—**SNAP.** The connection broke. Clean. All three weapons froze. Then—vanished. Pulled. Dragged—straight into the ape's storage pouch.

Silence hit. The fox's ear twitched. "…You—" Then she exhaled. "…Damn monkey." Flat. Annoyed.

Above, the ape smirked. "…You've got a lot of good stuff." It tapped its pouch lightly. "…I hope you won't go back on your word." Slight tilt of its head. "…Or do I need to return these first?"

Below, the fox didn't answer. Didn't move. Still inside the formation. Still restrained. Still surrounded by pressure. But her eyes—sharp. Watching. Calculating.

Then the ape moved again, stepping forward in the air, sword gliding beneath its feet. "…Not so fast." Its voice dropped slightly, more serious now. "…Don't be impatient."

The jade disc in its hand rotated once more. Slow. Deliberate. "…I haven't even shown you what this formation can really do."

**CLICK.**

The formation responded instantly. Glowing lines beneath her feet shifted, rearranging, expanding, deepening. Pressure inside multiplied—not just weight, but resistance. Her limbs grew heavier. Movement slowed further. The air thickened—like liquid.

The warrior struck again—faster now—empowered by the formation. Its blade screamed toward her. At the same time, the ape raised the staff. Energy gathered. Condensed. Preparing something heavier. Something final.

Inside it all, the fox stood still.

The blade came down—again. And again. Relentless.

The armored warrior didn't slow. Didn't hesitate. Didn't think. It simply **executed.** Strike after strike crashed into her—**CLANG! CLANG! CLANG!**

Each blow heavy. Precise. Empowered by the formation.

But it didn't matter.

Her **body armor held.**

Lightning surged across her fur—tight, layered—absorbing, deflecting. The impacts rang out—but none broke through. Not even close.

Behind her, her wings spread wide. Not for flight. For balance. For control. Her stance grounded, even within the crushing pressure.

Her eyes sharpened. "…So this is your plan?" A quiet breath. "…Trap me…"

Her paw moved. From her storage, a cluster of talismans appeared—red, violent, unstable. **Fire explosive talismans.**

She didn't hesitate. She threw them—all at once.

**BOOM!** Flames erupted, engulfing the armored warrior. Not a single blast—but a chain. One after another. **BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!** Fire stacked over fire, heat compressing within the formation, turning the space into a burning cage.

The warrior staggered—for the first time. Its footing broke, forced back step by step. Armor blackened. Runes flickering.

The fox pressed forward. No hesitation. More talismans. More explosions. Driving it back. "…With just this?" Her voice calm, almost disappointed.

She shifted her weight—preparing to move. To break out. To end it.

Then—the formation moved. Not the pressure. The structure. From the glowing lines beneath her, something **rose.**

Jade light twisted, condensed, and then—**arms.** Dozens. Formed entirely from the formation itself. They shot upward—**ALL AT ONCE!** **SHHHHK!** From below, from the sides, from behind. Grasping. Piercing. Binding.

The fox's eyes snapped wide. Her body reacted instantly. She twisted, dodging one, deflecting another—but there were too many. One wrapped around her leg, another caught her arm, a third locked onto her wing. Then more—gripping, pulling, restricting.

The pressure multiplied, stacking over itself. Weight. Resistance. Binding. Her movement—**halted.** Not fully—but enough.

Above, the ape watched. Then—it chuckled. Low. Satisfied. "…Did you really think…this was just a cage?" Its grip tightened on the jade disc. "…This is a formation. And you walked right into it."

Below, the fox strained slightly—testing the restraints, feeling the layers, the depth, the control. Her breathing slowed. Not panic. Focus.

Above, the ape raised the staff again. Energy gathering—denser than before. Heavier. More dangerous. "…Now stay still."
