Chapter 15 - Chapter 14 – The Gathering of Titans

Chapter 14 – The Gathering of Titans

In the vast, boundless darkness of the cosmos, a palace stood alone—an eternal monolith untouched by time. Unlike the grand fortresses of kings or the celestial spires of deities, this palace defied mortal architecture. It was a construct of reality itself, shifting and bending, its very existence a paradox. The walls were woven from strands of the universe, shifting between solid and liquid, matter and void. It was neither here nor there, yet it was.

This was the Observer's Palace.

Deep within its halls, in a chamber where no mortal had ever set foot, ten figures sat around a circular table. Each of them was a legend, a ruler, a supreme being of their race.

Yet, they did not sit in divine stillness.

Some laughed, their voices booming like echoes across the multiverse. Others bickered, their arguments igniting sparks of power that dissipated before they could escalate. A few sat silently, their eyes filled with contemplation—or disdain. Despite their status, they acted less like supreme rulers and more like ordinary beings gathered at a tavern.

But all of it came to a sudden halt.

Footsteps.

Rhythmic. Measured. Inevitable.

The air grew heavier as the echoes of those steps filled the chamber, as though reality itself bowed before the presence drawing near. Every conversation died, every laugh was silenced.

The Observer had arrived.

The great doors at the far end of the chamber opened, revealing a silhouette that was more concept than flesh. The Observer stepped forward, his very existence distorting the space around him. His presence was not loud, not forceful—yet it was absolute.

The ten supreme beings, who could destroy worlds with a mere thought, held their breaths. None dared to speak until he had taken his seat at the head of the table.

And then, another figure stepped into the chamber.

Draped in flowing black, her form wrapped in a seamless ninja-like cloth, only a single symbol adorned her body—a glowing eye on her forehead, forever open, forever watching. She moved without sound, without effort, a phantom within the void.

The Observer's voice was calm, yet it carried the weight of law.

"Luna. Ensure the arrangements are completed."

The woman, Luna, bowed without a word. Then, she disappeared. One moment there—then gone, as if she had never been.

The silence lingered for only a heartbeat before she returned. This time, her gloved hands cradled a dark sphere—an orb that seemed to pulse with the heartbeat of the cosmos itself.

Without a single movement from her, the orb floated from her hands, rising into the air before embedding itself in the very center of the table. As it did, the chamber darkened, and the ten beings felt a presence—something ancient, something binding.

The Observer leaned forward, his gaze sweeping across them all.

"I trust you all understand why I have called you here."

His voice, calm yet absolute, carried an unspoken truth—those who answered wrongly would not leave this place unscathed.

Yet, one by one, the ten beings exchanged glances and shook their heads. They were beings of supreme power, but even they could not predict the mind of the Observer.

And so, the Observer told them.

"I have chosen Earth as the proving ground for the new Supreme."

A deathly silence fell upon the chamber.

Some clenched their fists, their eyes darkening with disapproval. Others frowned, their expressions filled with disbelief. But none reacted as strongly as one.

The Void King, Velgo, scoffed. "Earthlings? Are you serious?" His voice, laced with disdain, echoed in the chamber. "Those creatures are weak. They are nothing but insects, meant only to serve the strong. To make Earth the proving ground—this is a disgrace."

A heartbeat passed.

Then, the chamber itself responded.

The air collapsed around Velgo, pressing down on him with an invisible force. The table beneath his hands cracked, his breath hitched, and his pupils constricted. It was as if the entire weight of the universe had decided that he should no longer exist.

For the first time in his immortal life, Velgo felt death staring at him.

He was ranked fifth among the strongest beings in the universe. He had stood against cosmic storms, conquered dimensions, and shattered planets. Yet at this moment—under the Observer's gaze—he felt like an ant standing before an abyss.

The others did not move. They did not speak. They did not help.

Because they all knew.

This was a lesson.

Then, Luna moved.

She appeared beside the Observer once more, her voice cutting through the suffocating silence. "Shall we begin the introductions?"

The Observer gave the smallest nod, and Luna turned toward the table.

Her golden eyes glowed faintly as she gestured toward the first figure.

"First, we have Linda." Her voice was clear and commanding. "She ranks third among the strongest beings in existence and is the supreme ruler of the Angel race."

Linda nodded but said nothing, her ethereal wings faintly visible behind her.

Luna's gaze shifted. "Next, Dragne. Ranked fourth among the strongest beings. He is the ruler and king of the Dragon Race."

Dragne's golden eyes gleamed, his scales briefly flickering into existence over his skin.

"Then we have Velgo." Her voice did not change, even though the Void King was still struggling to breathe. "Ranked fifth. The ruler of the Void Race and the Void Kingdom."

She moved on without hesitation.

"Celia. Sixth. Ruler of the Fairy and Elven race."

Celia smiled, though her glowing green eyes remained calculating.

"Celeste. Seventh. Supreme ruler of the Celestial race."

The woman nodded gracefully, a soft glow radiating from her form.

"Frederick Vampiric. Seventh as well. Ruler of the Vampiric race."

Frederick smirked, his fangs glinting in the dim light.

"Kronos. Eighth. Ruler of the Soul Fiends and the Givers of Time."

A faint ticking sound echoed as Kronos barely inclined his head.

"Poseidon. Ninth. Ruler of all creatures in the sea."

The ocean's depths seemed to stir within his abyssal gaze.

"Phileas. Tenth. Ruler of the Elementals."

A gust of wind flickered through the chamber at his name.

Then, Luna's voice deepened.

"Titana. Second. Ruler of the Titan race."

The room trembled slightly as the massive figure of Titana let out a low grunt.

And then, silence fell once more as Luna spoke the final name.

"Supremo. First. Ruler of the God Race."

Supremo did not move. He merely existed, his presence overwhelming without effort.

Then, Luna turned her gaze to the figure at the head of the table. Her voice took on a reverence that none dared challenge.

"And finally, the one outside the ranking. The one who sees all, who corrects all, who holds dominion over the universe itself—the half-ruler of the Chaos Domain."

Her eyes met his.

"The Observer."

She bowed deeply, stepping back as silence reigned.

And then—

The Observer opened his eyes.

The chamber shook.

The universe held its breath.

For the first time, the ten rulers felt fear.
