Chapter 232 - How's This Possible?

"That boy really is something else to be able to control a nen beast like that," Jed muttered arrogantly, his voice echoing around the area.

"Tell me your name! Even though you're destined to die by my hands, you deserve to be remembered." His words carried a heavy weight of On, and no one doubted he meant every word.

"Jed, this is the strongest person in the new world I told you about," Netero said angrily from the side.

"One of the new five strongest nen masters, Larry." Jed turned his gaze to Larry, studying him carefully.

"So you're Larry? With that kind of strength, it makes sense to be called the strongest in the world," Jed said seriously, his earlier contempt fading a bit.

To earn such a title, Larry had to be incredibly powerful. The title "Nen Beast Master" intrigued him, was that Nen beast that turned into Netero just now?

Considering Larry's own strength, Jed admitted to himself that the title fit. He noticed Larry had just disbanded his nen beast, probably because it drained too much energy. That kind of powerful Nen beast must consume a lot of Aura, Jed reasoned.

"Are you really the strongest in the new world? Then let me see what you've got!" Jed suddenly grinned wildly, a bloodthirsty smile spreading across his face. He had come back from the dead with only one goal, destruction.

No matter who stood in his way, their fate was sealed, death. Jed's thirst for revenge grew stronger, and the dark On pouring from him thickened, swirling around him like towering pillars of water, spinning clockwise. Even without words, the scene and Jed's eerie smile made him look like a living Rakshasa.

"Netero! Watch out! I'm going to tear him apart, just like I said!" Jed snarled.

"If he says he'll tear someone apart, he'll do it," Netero whispered, shaking his head. Jed's resurrection came with a price, a surge in power that made him even more dangerous.

But the person standing in front of his is Larry.

"Oh?" Larry said, a smirk playing on his lips. "Want to tear me apart? Let me think about that… What happened to the last person who said something like that?"

He tapped his chin thoughtfully. "Oh yeah, they ended up crushed to pieces!"

A sharp, mocking look crossed Larry's face as he stared directly at the furious Jed without holding back.

"Hey! You're just full of arrogance! Just die already!" Jed snapped, grabbing the two pillars of On beside him and transforming them into long, whip-like weapons.

The whips crackled with a dark energy, blue sparks flickering along their length. With a sudden swing, Jed lashed the whips down onto the ground, shattering it and revealing a large pit covered in thick spiderweb-like fragments.

The cracks alone were enough to make anyone's scalp tingle, but the blue-black substance coating the ground was the real threat, a highly corrosive form of On. For most nen users, taking even one hit would be devastating, and the corrosive On attached to these attacks made them deadly.

The whips twisted and bounced like two black dragons, striking Larry with precision. Their thick, long form blocked most of his movements, making it seem impossible for him to escape this net.

Jed sneered, "Guess why they call me the Beast Master?"

But Larry, unfazed by the fierce assault, barely lifted an eyelid. His calm response puzzled Jed, leaving him wondering what it all meant.

Jed's doubts didn't last long before he finally understood what Larry meant. Suddenly, several terrifying auras soared into the sky!

Jed's body trembled, and his pupils widened in shock. How could this be possible?!

Meanwhile, at the Hunter Association, Mizaistomi stared in confusion. "So that was the fake Chairman?" he muttered, surprised he hadn't realized it before.

"Is that Larry's nen beast? Can his nen beast mimic other people's abilities too?" Even Cheadle, usually calm and composed, couldn't hide her fear after the sudden turn of events.

Just moments ago, she had believed it was the real Chairman. After all, the signature ability Hundred-style Guanyin had been used, a technique well-known among mind ability users, especially senior hunters.

Everyone present, including the Zodiacs, showed surprise. Pyorn and Gel, having encountered Larry multiple times, were somewhat accustomed to his unpredictable nature. Larry truly lived up to his name, a the strongest." No matter what abilities he displayed, it was somehow believable. Not only could he imitate others, but he could also wield their nen techniques.

Parriston smiled calmly but was deeply analyzing Larry's abilities. The more he thought about it, the more stunned he became.

This was an ability that defied all logic, Larry seemed almost flawless in his mimicry. But Parriston reminded himself, "No, there must be some weaknesses."

He recalled how Ditto Netero had disappeared earlier. Was it voluntary? Was there a time limit? Perhaps that was one of the limitations of this power.

In that suspended moment, time seemed to freeze. Suddenly, "Boom!" Four different thought beasts exploded into existence behind Larry.

In Jed's panicked eyes, these four creatures, each with a unique shape and terrifying aura, appeared. Some were dark green and armored in steel, radiating an overwhelming sense of menace.

Suddenly, a pile of yellow sand appeared out of nowhere, swirling into a fierce sandstorm that seemed to crown it as the true king of the desert. Some of the nen beasts took on terrifying forms, one had three heads and radiated a dark, oppressive aura even heavier than Jed's own On.

Its body seemed filled with endless evil thoughts, like a creature crawling straight out of hell rather than anything human. Another beast looked like a dragon; despite its innocent-looking face, it carried the proud arrogance characteristic of dragonkind.

But the last nen beast was the one that terrified Jed the most. It was a swirling ball of purple-black gas, more intense and filled with deeper On than any of the others. It gave off a dangerous, almost natural-enemy vibe that sent chills down his spine.

At first, it was small, but in the moments Jed was stunned, it expanded rapidly, growing larger and more ominous by the second. This was Mega Gengar, an evolved, more powerful form.

Suddenly, Mega Gengar opened its mouth and sucked in the two long whips Jed was wielding, creating a fierce gale that stirred the previously calm surroundings back into chaos. Jed, caught off guard, couldn't regain his footing as his whips were swallowed whole.

Then, four powerful auras appeared simultaneously, Mega Gengar, Tyranitar, Dragonite, and the Hydregon. Seeing them, Jed's face darkened with despair, his body trembling uncontrollably under the weight of their presence.

"How is this possible?" he thought, overwhelmed. "How can there be so many powerful nen beasts all at once?"
