Aura is basically the life energy people unconsciously release from their bodies, and skilled users can manipulate it to achieve various effects. It's a natural ability tied to the very essence of human life.
On, on the other hand, is completely different, almost the opposite. It's fueled by countless negative emotions and driven by a stubborn persistence toward something, making it an innate counter to abilities that rely on reading or sensing emotions.
Ditto Netero focused his gaze sharply on Rakshasa's hands, silently waiting for the attack. Suddenly, Rakshasa's palms ignited like Gatling guns, firing grudge bombs nonstop.
Countless massive flame bombs shot at Ditto Netero as if they required no energy at all. Everyone watching was horrified by the sheer terror of the assault, how could anyone possibly defend against such a relentless barrage?
A low sigh escaped. Ditto Netero's hands, which had been tightly clasped, suddenly released, and the Guanyin statue behind him shifted in some mysterious way. His two arms moved so fast they created a blur of afterimages, an eerie mix of speed and stillness that felt almost surreal. His eyes were steady and unwavering, locked onto the countless on bullets racing toward him.
As his hands trembled, the massive Guanyin statue towering behind him shifted as well. Thousands of hands moved in various gestures, swiftly executing different techniques to steadily block every incoming bullet fueled by On.
One palm! Two palms! Bang! Bang! Bang!
The battlefield pulsed with two distinct auras: Jed's aggressive offense and Netero's passive defense. The rich, golden aura of aura clashed continuously with the strange, dark aura of On. These two forces, each seemingly powerful enough to destroy the world, were finally facing off in a real confrontation.
The scene no longer resembled a typical battle among full-time hunters; it felt more like a fight straight out of the Naruto world. Both the Guanyin and the Rakshasa were enormous in size, making their clash all the more captivating.
Rakshasa acted like a merciless Gatling gun, relentlessly firing at the Guanyin, which in turn swung its golden arms to block the fiery bullets one after another. Their strength was nearly evenly matched, resulting in a stalemate where neither side could gain the upper hand.
But in a prolonged fight, Ditto Netero was at a clear disadvantage. Watching this familiar scene stirred mixed emotions in Netero's heart. He had been part of such battles in the past, but this was the first time he observed one from the sidelines.
As he calmed down, vague theories began to form in his mind. This attacker didn't just imitate appearances, it also wielded the abilities. From what he could see, its strength was almost on par with his own, which was incredibly rare.
The only one he could think of capable of such a feat was Larry. Larry's ability came with various unique powers. But to completely mimic someone else's nen abilities? That was hard to believe...
In the online world, Ginx raised his eyebrows and muttered softly, "Bodhisattva?"
The moment Ditto Netero unleashed Hundred type of Guanyin, even Ginx couldn't tell who was real and who was just a copy. It seemed either one could be genuine.
After all, there was almost no ability that could perfectly imitate someone else, though even the power to read minds could be faked to some extent. But that didn't mean such abilities didn't exist.
In Ginx's opinion, there was at least one person who might be capable of such a feat. He wondered about the limitations of such a godlike power.
Could one change into anyone? Or was it limited to mimicking just one individual? If anyone could be targeted, the potential uses would be enormous.
Across the six continents, countless people were glued to the battle between the two fighters. Anyone watching closely couldn't help but feel the sheer terror of the fight. "Is this really the level people with Nen can reach?" many nen users thought.
Just as Netero was focusing on the fight, a figure suddenly appeared beside him. "Chairman, you look a little too tense," the newcomer said.
Netero himself didn't look much better. He was leaning against a shelf shaped like a cross, surrounded by strange black On energy. Chairman Netero wasn't hurt, but his once-clean robes were now streaked with gray dust, and even his face and beard had smudges of gray-brown grime.
"How did you find the show? Enjoying the drama?" a familiar voice asked, pulling Netero's attention away from the battlefield. When he spotted the figure, Netero's pupils narrowed, then relaxed in relief. "It's really you."
"Larry!" The figure beside Netero was none other than Larry, the Invincible fighter everyone had been waiting for.
"Hey, look! Isn't that the Invincible Larry?"
"Yeah! The Invicible Larry is here!"
"Come on, Larry! Defeat him!"
The crowd at Sky Arena erupted in cheers, thrilled that their hero had finally appeared.
"Have you finally come out? It looks like there's really nothing to worry about now," Biscuit said with a relieved sigh.
With Larry around, no matter what happened, things could be managed. At the same time, sensing his master's presence, Ditto Netero gradually calmed down, his breathing steadying. The faint golden statue of Guanyin that had been appearing slowly faded away, leaving only Ditto Netero standing there.
"Hmm?" Jed frowned in confusion.
"Why did you stop attacking, Netero? Why did you release the Guanyin? Are you giving up?"
But before he could react further, Ditto Netero suddenly dissolved right before Jed's eyes. His body turned into glowing spheres of pure aura and scattered into the air, vanishing like bubbles.
"That can't be!" Jed's eyes went wide, then narrowed in shock. Having fought many battles, he immediately recognized what was happening, this was what happens when aura disperses. "How is this possible?!"
Larry stepped out slowly from where Ditto Netero had been, a playful smile on his face as he looked at Jed's stunned expression. "So, how did you like battling my nen beast?" he asked.
"Nen beast?!" Jed's eyes locked onto Larry, speaking each word carefully.
"Did you enjoy this little drama between the real and the fake Netero?" Larry crossed his arms and stood directly opposite Jed, grinning in a way that only made him more annoyed.
"So… the real Netero has been here all along?" Jed glanced angrily at the real Netero, who was still imprisoned nearby.
With a chuckle, Netero let out his signature laugh.
"Ho ho ho ho, and you thought I was the real one all along? This whole setup Larry staged really surprised me.
Honestly, it was quite entertaining. Things like this don't happen very often."
"Shut up, Netero!" Jed snapped, his anger flaring even more after learning the truth. He scolded Netero harshly, demanding he keep quiet.
