For them, it didn't really matter if the martial arts tournament went ahead or not; they just wanted to see Larry in action. Compared to those weaker fighters, this mysterious villain who suddenly appeared was far more exciting to watch. Experts battling experts was always more thrilling than experts facing rookies.
Under Tyranitar's fierce attack, Jed's body turned to dust and scattered in the wind before countless eyes. That was why the man had whispered earlier.
Then, Larry freed Chairman Netero, and the two stood proudly at the top. This was clearly a huge victory. Everyone could see that in front of Larry's "pet," the man was completely vulnerable.
With Larry initiating the fight, what happened next seemed almost inevitable. The crowd erupted in cheers, loudly chanting Larry's name. After today, the legend of Larry would be permanently etched in their hearts. Their admiration had transformed into pure fascination and respect.
In the past, people only admired Larry because of his experience and strength in defeating the host time and time again, they were mainly drawn to his power. But things have changed now. He's become more than just a strong fighter; he's their idol.
The Invicible Larry saved them from an attack by unknown forces. Although, in the original story, they weren't harmed, Gaki later went after Gon and Killua.
The remaining robots were quickly taken down by Biscuit, without even needing to transform. Of course, they didn't know that.
Without Biscuit's help, they would have believed that if Larry hadn't been there today, they would have died. So their admiration for Larry only grew stronger, it was a matter of life and death. Larry wasn't just an idol anymore; he was their savior.
"Huh~ Finally done?" someone said. "But I have to admit, the strength was terrifying."
Sitting in his seat, Biscuit let out a sigh of relief when he saw Jed turn to ashes, but at the same time, he was shaken by the sheer terror of the Tyranitar.
"That nen beast gave me a real sense of pressure, and Larry has three of them," she said, resting her hands on her cheeks, her wine-red eyes full of amazement. "And those are just the ones on the surface. Who knows how many more are hidden?"
Menchi, sitting beside her, nodded. "I remember Larry told me about that nen beast, it's called Tyranitar."
"I know that," Biscuit said. her good friend Piyon had told her about it a long time ago, right after the Ruins incident, which was quite some time back. She only knew the names of three beasts: Tyranitar, Gardevoir, and Gengar.
"But you probably don't know Tyranitar's title," Menchi added seriously. "According to Larry, Tyranitar is the king of the desert. He called it the 'Monarch of the Desert' or the 'Tyrant of the Desert.'"
"Monarch of the Desert…" Biscuit murmured, jotting down both titles. They truly fit a beast like Tyranitar perfectly.
Meanwhile, Larry was staring at the new Pokemon with his expression nearly breaking. It wasn't an exaggeration, this time, the Pokemon they had bred was genuinely incredible.
Larry had initially guessed that this Pokemon might be a Ghost and Fighting type, but it was just a hunch, nothing certain. Even if it was indeed a Ghosat-Fighting type, it could have been a brand-new Pokemon. He never imagined that the Pokemon bred this time would turn out to be a Invincible one, something far beyond the usual.
Thinking back to the Ditto he had bred before, Larry barely understood it. The Pokemon bred in the movie version would definitely be incredibly strong. It was a shame that Hunter x Hunter only had two theatrical releases; more would have been amazing.
This new Pokemon was a Invincible mythical creature, the messenger of the King of Phoenix, known as Marshadow.
Phantom-like Pokémon such as Marshadow are extremely rare and are classified as Mythical Pokémon, often possessing powers on par with Legendary Pokémon. Alongside Marshadow, others like Jirachi, Celebi, Phione, and Deoxys are part of this elite group. Most Mythical Pokémon have starred in Pokémon movies, often taking on central or guiding roles in the story.
Marshadow was introduced in Generation VII and appeared prominently in the movie Pokémon the Movie: I Choose You!, where it acts as a silent observer of the chosen trainer who follows the path of Ho-Oh, the Legendary Phoenix Pokémon. It is sometimes referred to as Ho-Oh's guide or overseer, silently watching from the shadows to ensure the worthiness of those undertaking the Rainbow Trial.
Though not officially stated to be stronger than the Legendary Beasts, Entei, Raikou, and Suicune, Marshadow is depicted as immensely powerful. Its ability to hide in the shadows rivals that of Gengar, but with added mystical presence and purpose. If a chosen challenger proves unworthy or strays from the path, Marshadow may intervene.
As the only Pokémon with the unique Fighting/Ghost typing, Marshadow has a highly practical and rare combination of offensive and evasive skills. Its design resembles a small, humanoid figure composed of smoky grey shadows.
It has a rounded head with two curved wisps resembling horns and a smaller one centered above. Its orange-red eyes with yellow pupils give it an eerie gaze, each eye marked with a yellow oval above. A shadowy collar wraps around its neck, and wisps of darkness trail from its feet, further adding to its phantom-like appearance.
Its strength was rated SS, the first time Larry had ever acquired a Pokemon of that level. Surprisingly, he didn't question Marchado's SS ranking; in fact, he thought it was a bit low. After all, Marchado was a fantasy Pokemon, and there's a clear difference between Legendary and mythical Pokemon.
Marchado could roughly be understood as a Pokemon on par with a second-level god. As the "gods" of the Pokemon world, very few are simple, they possess abilities far beyond human imagination.
From this perspective, the gap between S-class and SS-class was much bigger than Larry had initially thought. It made sense that there's a huge difference between A-class and S-class, but the difference between S-class and SS-class was on a whole different level.
At that point, a human wave tactic wouldn't stand a chance. A large number of A+ level fighters might still take down S-level opponents through sheer numbers, but no matter how many S+ level fighters you had, they wouldn't pose the slightest threat to an SS-level Pokemon. It was an absolute stomp.
The experience points gained from Tyranitar further proved this. After evolving to S+ level, Tyranitar's new experience bar showed an almost endless amount of points required to reach the next stage, a massive, overwhelming number that made you feel powerless just looking at it. The gap was just too huge.
