Chapter 237 - Larry.. Won!

Ging glanced at Tyranitar standing proudly on the screen and couldn't help but feel a deep respect. Every one of Larry's nen beasts left a strong impression on him. He remembered the last time he hit the gold and silver ingot, this nen beast had also made an appearance.

Though Ging had only seen it act twice, each time it left a vivid mark on his memory. The nen beast felt like a true tyrant, a desert tyrant. Its presence was always accompanied by swirling yellow sand, hinting at some deep connection to the desert. That's why Ging had given the Nen beast the title "Tyrant of the Desert," a name that was entirely fitting and far from exaggerated.

At the same time, he noticed that Larry's Nen was very different from the usual kind. Normally, people with Nen only have one or two specific abilities. But Larry's nen beasts were on a whole other level. Not only were there many of them, but each had multiple unique powers.

Take the desert tyrant, for example, it showed several different abilities: it could battle calamity from the dark continent with immense strength, perform a warm-up move called dragon dance, and even display a terrifying phantom face.

Larry's Nen went way beyond what anyone thought was possible. It's not just that the person controlling the beasts was strong; it's because that person was Larry, a truly extraordinary being.

Meanwhile, at the top of the Sky Arena, the chaotic scene finally settled down, and Gon and the others began to recover. Jed had returned to the world by making a deal with the devil, selling his soul. Using his lingering On, he reshaped his body, but it wasn't a normal body anymore.

After being knocked down, just like in the original story, he turned into a pile of gray dust that scattered in the wind. Rakshasa's body dissolved into streaks of On floating in the air before flying into Mega Gengar's mouth, where it was completely absorbed.

Mega Gengar then cleared away the On that had trapped Chairman Netero for so long. After being imprisoned and witnessing a dramatic, blockbuster-worthy series of events, Old Man Netero could finally stand on his own again.

Unfortunately, the spirit he once had was gone. His face was streaked with dust, and his clothes were torn and blackened in places.

Slowly, Netero walked to the spot where Jed had disappeared moments before. There, he found half a coin engraved with the Hunter Association's logo.

Bending down, he tightly grasped the half coin, a look of nostalgia washing over his face. He recalled how he and Jed had been friends in their youth, competing to see who would stand in the light and who would dwell in the shadows.

In the end, Jed lost and willingly took on the role of the "dark side" of the Hunter Association. Yet, despite everything, he never gave up his obsession with defeating Netero.

At that time, Jed's hair was still yellow, but even after it turned white, he still couldn't beat Netero. The two of them each held half of a coin, serving as proof of their connection, one positive, the other negative. Slowly, Netero tucked away his half of the coin and whispered softly, "Jed... You can become a Buddha in the realm of Nirvana, where there's no good or bad."

For a moment, both he and Larry stood still, lost in thought, while those watching seemed a little dazed. In reality, Netero was remembering the late Jed, and Larry was busy tallying up the recent gains. After defeating Jed, just as he expected, the huge amount of experience points earned allowed Tyranitar to level up to S+, the first S+ level Pokemon he had, not counting the already Mega-evolved Gengar.

Besides Jed's experience, Gaki and Shura also provided plenty of experience points to Lucario and Porygon Z, respectively. Both were now just one step away from reaching S-level, standing right at the threshold. Lucario had previously gained experience from defeating the Devil Cicada in the Dark Sonata Realm, and now, after taking down Gaki, it was very close to leveling up.

If Larry's guess was right, once Lucario officially reached S-level, it would unlock Mega Evolution, just like Gengar. The Mega Evolution form of Lucario looked incredibly cool, and Larry was already excited to see it.

Porygon Z, on the other hand, absorbed data from the network world all the time, steadily increasing its experience points and edging closer to S-level as well. The gap between A-level and S-level was massive, like night and day.

When Porygon Z finally reached S-level, it might evolve from just using the network to actually creating it. By then, the places it could travel to would far exceed the six continents, maybe it could even jump directly to the Dark Continent!

Unfortunately, Porygon Z didn't have a Mega Evolution form and probably wouldn't unlock one like Gengar. Still, with another Pokemon now able to Mega Evolve, Larry felt reassured.

As Larry suspected, when a Pokemon hits a certain strength, those capable of Mega Evolution can change form. After reaching S+ level, Tyranitar could finally use its Mega evolution!

Tyranitar's evolved form was striking, adding a powerful and commanding presence to its already impressive look. Larry was itching to see it in action and even wanted to make Tyranitar evolve right then and there.

But who to test it with? The old man standing nearby, who had been quietly watching the whole time, seemed like the perfect partner.

Although he could no longer gain experience points from his opponent, being an S-level strongman meant he was at least more resistant to damage. Compared to Gon and the others who were still dazed nearby, he was definitely more suited for this.

Netero, sighing as time passed, had no idea that the young man beside him, the one who had just saved him, was already planning to train with him.

Honestly, no one would believe a story like that if it were told to them.

"Pokémon successfully bred!"

At that moment, the new Pokemon was finally successfully bred. Larry quickly pushed aside the mischievous thoughts swirling in his mind.

When he first saw the Pokemon, his initial reaction was surprise, then shock, and finally pure joy! It wasn't an exaggeration to say that with this Pokemon, he could rush straight to the Dark Continent and take on anything that came his way.

Meanwhile, at the Sky Arena, a faint murmur spread through the crowd: "Larry... won!"

The silence that had filled the arena broke. Most spectators didn't understand the intricate moves between Larry and Jed, but they could feel the tension in the air. Their hearts beat faster as they watched intently, fully immersed in the battle.
