Chapter 1033 - Chapter 1250: Endorsement

In the end, Julian naturally agreed. It was rare for his uncle to ask him to do something, so refusing wasn't really an option. Besides, it was just an endorsement, and it probably wouldn't take long anyway.

This was also Julian's first time doing an endorsement. After all, with his status, there was absolutely no need for him to make money through sponsorship deals.

The very next day, news had already begun circulating online that the Walker Group had successfully developed the spatial backpack technology and that it was expected to hit the market within the year.

Most of the public just viewed it as idle gossip; those who were genuinely looking forward to it were actually not that many.

It wasn't that they didn't trust the Walker Group, but because giant corporations around the world had all been researching spatial backpack technology. Almost every so often, news would appear claiming that some corporation had made a major breakthrough.

Some more exaggerated claims even said that certain companies had already successfully created the spatial backpacks.

Yet after everyone got excited and waited, nothing ever happened—it was all just hype.

After hearing "the wolf is coming" too many times, people had naturally became numb to such news.

Still, there were some people who held a certain degree of expectation toward the Walker Group.

Not for any other reason, but because the Walker Group belonged to the Walker family.

And the Walker family had three Champions, one of whom was Julian.

With those people backing the company, if the Walker Group also started making fake claims, then not only would the company's reputation suffer, but Julian and the others would also be implicated.

Naturally, these news releases had been arranged by Henry as a form of early promotion.

Otherwise, if the spatial backpack suddenly appeared out of nowhere, the surprise might be so abrupt that even more people would refuse to believe it.

Henry took Julian's endorsement very seriously. Early the next morning, just as Julian finished breakfast, Henry's call came through.

He said the production crew was already waiting at the front gate, and Julian just had to go with them when the time came.

The moment Love heard that its cub was going to do an endorsement, it showed great interest.

"So Love's coming along too?" Julian asked with a smile.

"Dee~"

Love immediately nodded.

Soon after, Julian left with Metagross, Slowking, Love, Celebi, and Jirachi. As for Nebby, it was sleeping inside its Poké Ball.

At the Gym's entrance, the production team in charge of the endorsement was already waiting.

The director was a very famous director in the country, someone who had produced many classic films beloved by the people. Having him shoot a commercial honestly felt like an overkill.

But the Walker Group was offering more than enough money. Forget filming commercials—even if it were some questionable movie with risqué content, he would have been willing to shoot it.

And later, when he found out that the spokesperson was going to be Julian, the director felt like he had struck gold.

Ever since his debut, Julian had become famous throughout the nation as the heir of the Walker family, and by now, he was a household name all over the world.

But he rarely appeared in public. He had only ever given one interview, and as for endorsements—never, not even once.

Now, being able to collaborate with Julian, the world-renowned number one Trainer, forget making money—he would've been willing to pay out of his own pocket for the chance.

"Director Dan, what do I do? I'm a bit nervous."

The assistant director looked at the tightly shut doors of the Gym, thinking about the important figure he was about to meet. Even though he had met Elite Trainers and even Pseudo-Champions before, at the thought of this particular big shot, he couldn't help but grow tense inside.

"Take deep breaths. I'm nervous too, but don't worry—Champion Walker's public reputation has always been excellent," Dan's expression was considerably calmer than the assistant director beside him.

Though it would have looked even more convincing if his hands weren't clenched so tightly.

As the heavy doors of the Gym slowly opened, Julian appeared before the two of them and the rest of the production team, wearing a warm smile.

"So handsome…"

A female crew member looked at Julian with starry-eyed adoration.

"You must be Director Dan and Director Chris," Julian spoke.

When the two realized that Julian actually knew who they were, the joy on their faces was indescribable—they looked just like little kids.

"Champion Walker, I'm Dan, and this is my assistant, Chris," Dan hurriedly introduced.

Chris immediately looked at Dan somewhat resentfully. He was perfectly capable of introducing himself—there was no need for Dan to butt in.

"I've long admired both of you. My Tyranitar really liked watching your movie 'Tyranitar vs. Rillaboom 3', Director."

"It's just a pity that Tyranitar lost again in the end, so my Tyranitar gave your movie a very low score."

"Three movies in a row where Tyranitar loses—that's really your fault as the director," Julian said, his expression carrying a hint of dissatisfaction.

Because of Tyranitar, he had actually watched all three of these films, so he really did know who this director was.

He wasn't flattering anyone—besides, did someone of his standing even need to flatter anyone?

"Champion Walker, in the next one, Tyranitar will definitely win!"

Hearing that Julian had actually watched three of his movies, Dan was utterly delighted. Originally, he hadn't even planned to make a fourth one, but now he absolutely had to.

And the villainous image of Tyranitar had to be transformed into a symbol of justice.

"I'll definitely go see it then. Let's get in the car first," Julian said.

"Champion Walker, please."

Julian got into an extremely luxurious business vehicle, and the two directors sat in the same car with him, while the others naturally rode in different vehicles.

"Champion Walker, here's the script—please take a look first."

Dan handed the script to Julian.

"Alright."

Taking the script, Julian began reading it seriously.

Since he had agreed to his uncle's request, he naturally intended to do the job well.

As for acting, Julian actually wasn't worried. Among his Daily Mission rewards, he had received acting skills before. Though only at an Intermediate-level, he figured it should be more than enough for shooting a commercial.

The filming location was at a certain film studio in Lake City.

This studio was also one of the four major film studios in the nation. Every day, thousands upon thousands of film crews worked there.

Where there were crews, there were celebrities. And where there were celebrities, there were fans.

Sure enough, just after entering, they saw nearly a hundred fans shouting the name of a certain celebrity.

"Hannah, pure as ice, flawless as jade!"

Many fans were also holding up photos of Hannah high in the air.

"She has started doing TV and movies now too?"

Seeing this scene through the car window, Julian was somewhat surprised. In his impression, Hannah was a singer. He hadn't expected her to suddenly start acting.

"When singing succeeds, acting follows."

"This girl is truly impressive. As expected of someone who graduated from the same university as Champion Walker," Dan said with a smile.

Ever since Julian had appeared as a guest singer at Hannah's first concert, everyone in Drakoria knew that the relationship between Julian and Hannah was somewhat ambiguous.

With Julian standing behind her, Hannah's journey in the entertainment industry had been very smooth. Even though many people envied her, once they thought of Julian, none of them dared to entertain other ideas.

As for those who weren't afraid of death and tried to use shady methods, Julian didn't even need to act personally—Blaze Entertainment would immediately deal with them.
