Chapter 17 - Assignment (3)

A strange feeling enveloped Alura's chest as she looked at the door.

While she wasn't exactly surprised, as most of the heirs had many lovers and wives, she didn't expect it to happen this fast.

'Is he really not dissatisfied?'

Despite Aaron saying he was saving her virginity to increase her strength, deep in her heart, she doubted it.

Memories of her begging her parents not to abandon her and them turning their faces away flashed across her mind.

'Young master would never…right'

Suddenly, she heard a scream through the door, causing her to be surprised. Biting her lip, she left, heading to see where to find her young master's luggage.

"Hide until the world barrier shatters, gather strong allies, and gain strength until that fateful day."

That was the order Dahlia was given when she was 5. She was then knocked out before she was left at an orphanage. Her life seemed to be peaceful; however, thanks to her memory problems, it made her life a little difficult.

One day, she went to sleep before she knew it; she was on some sort of island. She was then forced to serve the Van Bismarck family. Due to her pretty appearance, she was forced to serve one of the family heirs.

There she was cursed at and beaten; however, she didn't fight back.

Her young master decided she wasn't going to survive the ceremony and decided to leave her outside the hall. When the ceremony happened, her young master seemed to be angry due to the results of the ceremony.

That was reinforced by the reaction of his father.

That night, out of frustration, her young master was going to sleep with her as his ceremony was already over. However, she was then taken by a higher-ranked family servant.

She was confused as she was brought to another massive mansion. She was given a case and was forced to follow the servant who brought it to the dining room.

There she had to wait before another young master came. At the time, she didn't remember who he was, but now she knew who he was.

Then he brought her to his room before putting a talisman on her head. Then all of the memories came flooding back.

'What should I do?'

The memories had settled in her mind; however, she didn't know how to react to the current situation. Slightly opening her eyes, she looked at the man sitting on the bed. He was currently in a lotus position, sitting with a white hue surrounding his body.

Dahlia was wondering what she wanted to do?

Should she try and bring back her family? Or should she find a way to run away?

As the maid, Dahlia was sleeping, so I decided to try something again. During the boat ride to the island, I was trying to use a technique I had learned. The technique revolved around the soul; however, the results were subpar.

It wasn't until the ceremony that I was able to properly connect to my soul.

And now that I have a connection to Hades, it means that I could try something. Closing my eyes, I sat in the lotus position. Taking a breath, I then opened my eyes again. I wasn't standing in my room but in a field.

"Hm let's see,"

Opening my status window, I looked at the black and blue status screen. Moving my hand, the status screen changed as a laptop appeared floating in mid-air. Approaching it, I started to type on the keyboard, and blue text followed.

[New Skill: Admin Access]

[import Scribe]

I then pressed enter.

The laptop started to glitch in front of me, and before I could react, a blue ball shot toward me before hitting me in the chest.

I didn't feel a weird feeling or anything of the kind; however, when I opened my status screen and looked at my skills to see a new skill.

[Admin Access]{α}

"So it did work, huh?" I mutter before I laugh, "That bastard is always right,"

With a breath, I thought about activating the skill. When I did that, my status screen started to glitch before it changed.

[Admin: Aaron]

[Class: Voidwalker]

[Subclass: Scribe]

My stats, on the other hand, didn't change a bit, same with my order, as it was still undefined. That being said, I now also have a list of new skills. Nodding in satisfaction, I nodded before I thought of activating my skill.

My status screen glitched again before my normal status appeared. Not just that, the skills I had in my other status screen were gone.

I let out a sigh, but there really wasn't much I could do with those skills anyway.

Looking at my new skill, I smiled in satisfaction.

'With this, I can do a few things,'

I then remembered what I did.

In my previous timeline, I was able to learn what my scribe class could actually do. However, I was too old at the time to do anything with the class. It was from an old friend of mine that I figured out how to abuse the book of time.

It was also thanks to him that I found the weak spots of the old system.

The Beta version of the GAIA system had its own flaws that anyone could exploit. However, all these flaws would be fixed after the full version of the system is assimilated. Thus, all of the effects caused by the bugs would disappear.

The bug I used was something that would be patched after the full assimilation of the world, but no one knew about it.

To explain what exactly I did, let's use a video game as an example.

Let's say in the game, a priest is fighting a demon. Holy magic is naturally effective; however, the priest also buffs himself. But as he buffs himself, the damage output increases and increases. At this point, the attack multiplication is x999. And when he attacks the demon, he also gets a critical attack, which adds to the attack multiplier.

However, the attack value has surpassed the system's abilities.

This results in something called an "overflow"

Now that high attack turns into the lowest it can be. A similar principle was applied here. When I used the withering runes effect, my Order became -1. The Gaia system could register it as it didn't have a value of -1.

This causes the system to "underflow" and switch the value to the highest possible Order value.

And when I transferred all of these into HADES, I had permanently received the undefined order, meaning no one other than me could alter it.

Not only could I now access my previous status abilities thanks to my access to HADES, but I could also edit and add functions to the system.

Closing my eyes, I took a breath before I opened them again and was back in my room. Turning my gaze slightly, I saw the maid.

"So how long are you going to pretend?"
