AN: C'mon guys, lacking powerstones.
---
Late May arrived faster than any of them expected.
After weeks of filming, meetings, sleepless nights, and nonstop movement between Titan HQ and the Supergirl production, the move finally happened.
The convoy of black SUVs slowly rolled through the massive iron gates while everyone inside stared out the windows like kids arriving at some ridiculously expensive summer camp.
The long private driveway stretched ahead beneath rows of perfectly trimmed trees while fountains shimmered quietly under the afternoon sunlight. Security personnel stood near different checkpoints across the property, already fully integrated into the estate's systems.
Inside the lead SUV, Max pressed her face dramatically against the window. "I still think it's insane that this place is real," she muttered. "Like, this looks like the kind of house villains own before Batman shows up."
Scarlett looked outside while sipping iced coffee. "The difference is Alex would absolutely invite Batman in for dinner first."
"Only if Batman agrees to stop spying on people like a creep," Caroline added from the backseat.
The cars finally came to a stop in front of the mansion.
The moment everyone stepped out, the scale of the estate hit properly again.
Glass, marble, stone, layered terraces, giant windows reflecting the skyline in the distance. Everything looked polished and unreal under the afternoon light.
Even Chloe stood there quietly for a second beside Alex, taking it all in despite already seeing pictures before.
"Okay," she admitted softly. "This is stupidly beautiful."
Alex smirked faintly while slipping his hands into his pockets. "That's basically what Rachel said."
Rachel walked past him toward the entrance. "I said excessive. There's a difference."
The front doors opened before they even reached them.
A small group of professionally dressed staff members waited inside near the main lobby. House managers, chefs, cleaners, maintenance personnel, security coordinators, childcare specialists, and caretakers, Alex had Rachel hire after realizing the estate was way too large for everyone to manage alone.
The main house manager stepped forward politely. "Welcome home, Mr. Wilson."
Max leaned toward Caroline and whispered loudly, "Oh my God, we have staff now. We're officially rich-rich bitches."
"We were already rich-rich," Scarlett replied calmly.
"No, before this, we were millionaire rich. This is 'there's probably hidden tunnels somewhere' rich."
Rachel pinched the bridge of her nose immediately. "There are no hidden tunnels."
Alex glanced toward her. "There are two emergency evacuation routes underground."
Rachel stared at him for a second. "You told me those were maintenance corridors."
"They can be both."
Max looked deeply impressed. "See? Batman behavior."
The moment they entered the main lobby, everyone slowed down again.
Natural light poured through the massive glass ceiling while the indoor water feature flowed quietly along one side of the room. The staircase curved upward toward the second floor, elegant enough to look like it belonged inside a luxury hotel instead of a private home.
Caroline slowly turned in a circle while staring upward. "I could literally get lost in here."
"You probably will," Rachel replied.
"I'm serious."
"So am I."
Trixie sprinted ahead almost immediately, with Nacho chasing after her across the polished floor.
"Race you upstairs!" she yelled.
"Meow!"
"Absolutely not!" Chloe called after them while already walking faster. "No running before we figure out where anything is!"
Asher slept peacefully in Halle's arms through all the chaos while Evangeline wandered slowly toward the windows overlooking the gardens outside.
"Oh wow," she murmured quietly. "The view's even prettier in person."
Outside, the gardens wrapped around the estate with fountains, walking paths, shaded seating areas, and terraces overlooking the skyline.
Scarlett walked toward the floor-to-ceiling windows and folded her arms loosely while staring outside. "Okay," she admitted. "I understand why you wanted to build this place now."
Alex glanced toward her with a faint smile. "Yeah."
One by one, everyone started exploring.
Caroline practically gasped when she saw her custom wardrobe section.
"Oh my God," she whispered while touching one of the shelves like she had entered a religious temple. "Now I can buy everything I ever wanted without worrying about filling up the space."
Max wandered into her room a few doors down and immediately froze when she saw the neon accents and built-in lounge area.
"No way."
Alex leaned against the doorway casually while watching her reaction.
Max slowly turned toward him. "You gave me a gaming room?"
"You like it?" He asked.
"Like it?" She walked over and kissed him. "I love it."
She then turned around and walked further inside before immediately spotting the built-in bar. Sadly for her there were only fruit juices and non-alcoholic beverages.
"Dang! You prepped everything, huh?"
"Yep." Alex nodded.
Rachel passed by behind them. "Please don't become one of those rich people who never leave their room."
"No promises."
Meanwhile, Scarlett found the reading lounge inside her suite and instantly sat near the window while looking out toward the skyline.
A slow smile spread across her face. 'Wow! This place is so perfect.'
Angelina explored her private studio space while already mentally redesigning parts of it.
"This room needs darker curtains," she decided immediately.
Evangeline stepped into her suite and stopped near the indoor garden connected to it. The soft greenery, natural light, and quiet atmosphere made her visibly relax. "Oh, I love this," she whispered.
Halle's reaction came the moment she saw the terrace overlooking the gardens. Asher stirred lightly against her chest while she stepped outside into the warm afternoon air. The little guy was awake and was looking around the new place.
"Now you can run all you want after you grow up," She whispered to Asher. She noticed the waterslide. "Just be careful of that slide."
Back downstairs, Chloe walked slowly through the house beside Alex while Trixie continued exploring every possible corner with Nacho following closely behind.
"You really built all this," Chloe said quietly while looking around the massive living area. "Still feels like a dream."
Alex shrugged lightly. "Technically, Jessica built most of it."
"You know what I mean."
He looked toward her for a second before nodding.
"Yeah," he admitted softly. "I guess I did."
Chloe smiled while slipping her hand into his. "It already feels like home."
A little later, everyone gathered near the outdoor infinity pool, except for Rachel, Trixie and Nacho. Trixie was fast asleep after all the running around with Nacho in her new room.
The sun slowly started setting behind the city while drinks sat scattered across the long outdoor table. Staff members quietly moved through the background, handling luggage and setup, while soft music played through hidden speakers around the terrace.
Asher sat comfortably in Halle's lap near the outdoor couch, wide awake and staring around with serious little eyes while occasionally grabbing at the edge of the blanket wrapped around him. Every now and then, he made tiny curious noises whenever someone laughed too loudly.
The rooftop door finally opened again.
Rachel stepped outside after finishing the last of the setup inside. She locked the door behind her, slipped the key card into her pocket, and walked toward the pool while brushing strands of hair behind one ear.
"Everything's done," she said calmly. "The staff finished unpacking the last shipment."
Alex nodded once before slowly standing up from his chair.
The movement alone got everyone's attention.
Scarlett lowered her glass slightly while Caroline looked up from her phone. Max immediately narrowed her eyes because Alex had that look on his face again. The one that usually came before some big news.
Alex rested one hand against the back of his chair and looked around at all of them for a second.
"Okay," he said calmly. "Since we're all here today, I want to reveal something about me."
That immediately made Max sit straighter.
Alex continued before anyone could interrupt him. "We've been together long enough and I trust all of you, so I don't want to keep it a secret anymore." He glanced around once more. "It's something unusual, and I want you all to just listen, don't freak out, and keep calm."
Max's eyes widened instantly. "Holy shit, I knew it."
Caroline blinked. "Knew what?"
Max pointed at Alex dramatically. "He has superpowers. I've been saying this for months. He's secretly some rich Batman-type guy who beats up criminals at night."
Chloe almost choked on her drink because, honestly, that theory hit way too close to things she had personally witnessed.
Max kept going with growing confidence. "Think about it. He barely sleeps, somehow runs five billion companies at once, dodges questions like a trained assassin, and has super stamina. He can go all night. I'm sure everyone knows that."
Scarlett laughed softly. "That is concerningly convincing."
Evangeline tilted her head thoughtfully. "Chloe told me you also dodged bullets that one time."
Everyone looked toward Chloe immediately.
"C'mon, Chloe, you told them?" Alex asked.
Chloe slowly raised both hands. "Okay, in my defense, I thought I hallucinated that whole night for a while. Then I started researching supernatural things, and while talking to Eva, it just kinda slipped out."
Angelina stared at Alex. "Wait... you actually dodged bullets?"
Alex rubbed the side of his forehead with a tired sigh. "Can we stay focused for five seconds?"
Max pointed at him again like a detective solving the final case. "Aha! That is exactly what superheroes say before revealing secret identities."
Alex shook his head while trying not to laugh. "Something like that," he admitted. "But I ain't a superhero."
That somehow made the silence heavier.
Even Rachel stayed quiet now while leaning lightly against the table beside the pool. She had seen him fight and kill without blinking. So, she was really curious to hear his explanation.
Chloe watched him closely, more interested than anyone else there. Ever since that night in Los Angeles when she watched him dodge bullets and kill a bunch of armed men fast enough to blur, part of her always knew there was something deeply abnormal about him. Not to mention the insane stamina during sex.
Alex finally exhaled slowly.
"Alright," he said. "Here goes nothing."
He stepped closer to the table and extended one hand over the empty space in the center.
Everyone leaned forward slightly.
Then a thick stack of cash appeared out of thin air.
Just instantly.
One moment, the table was empty. The next moment, one million dollars sat there in perfect stacks.
Nobody spoke for a few seconds.
Caroline's jaw dropped so hard she nearly spilled her drink.
Scarlett blinked twice like her brain refused to process what her eyes just saw.
Angelina slowly lowered her wine glass without looking away from the money. "...What the heck."
Max stared at the table for a full three seconds before grabbing Alex by the arm violently. "Holy crap!"
Alex looked weirdly calm about the fact that he had just shattered reality in front of them.
"I can generate unlimited money for starters," he said casually.
"For starters?" Evangeline repeated slowly.
Rachel closed her eyes briefly. "And there it is."
Halle looked between Alex and the mountain of cash sitting on the table while Asher happily grabbed at the air like he wanted participation rights in whatever insanity this was. "Okay... hold on. Did you just say for starters?"
Chloe was still staring at the money with narrowed eyes. "Alex," she said carefully, "please tell me this is some advanced illusion technology before I start questioning every law of physics I know."
"It's not an illusion," Alex replied calmly.
Max suddenly grabbed one stack from the table and started flipping through it aggressively. "Oh my God, it even smells rich."
Caroline leaned closer immediately. "Is it real?"
Max looked offended. "Caroline, if this is fake money, then I deserve an Oscar because I'm emotionally reacting for free right now."
Scarlett slowly looked back at Alex. "You're telling us this entire time..." She gestured vaguely toward the mansion around them. "...you literally had unlimited money?"
Alex nodded once. "Pretty much."
Angelina let out a short laugh that sounded halfway between disbelief and exhaustion. "You know what? Somehow that explains less than I expected."
Chloe folded her arms while staring directly at him now. "No. We are absolutely circling back to the bullet dodging thing after this."
"That's fair," Alex admitted.
Max suddenly stood up from her chair with the stack of cash still in her hands. "Wait wait wait." She looked around at everyone with growing excitement. "Do you all realize what this means?"
Rachel already looked tired. "Unfortunately, yes."
"We can buy literally anything."
"We could already buy anything," Scarlett reminded her.
"No, Scar, this is different." Max pointed dramatically toward Alex again. "We're dating the human economy."
Even Asher let out a happy little noise at that exact moment like he supported the statement completely.
