Loki had been completely swayed by Noah. This was something Ms.Haifin, Wong, and Dennis agreed on in their hearts. After Loki's "cordial" conversation with Noah, he completely forgot about the meditation that had once amazed him the most. Now, his mind was entirely consumed by the Casket of Ancient Winters and that "Dragonborn" magic.
Ms.Haifin and the others had truly never seen Noah's ability to "mislead" people be so potent. Previously, they had only heard Constantine mention such things, for example, how Constantine himself had been led astray by Noah. Now they had witnessed it firsthand, and they felt their understanding of Noah was truly lacking.
Noah, however, was unaware of how his actions were perceived by Ms.Haifin. Otherwise, he would have surely debated vigorously. Was his approach "misleading" people? Please, he merely offered Loki some good advice, and Loki, being receptive, took his advice. Where was the talk of misleading?
Though Loki no longer thought about meditation, he was also very adept at utilizing resources. In the following days, whenever he had a problem, he would seek out Noah, completely disregarding whether Noah was busy with his own affairs. His thick skin could rival Tony's, who was currently making movies; sometimes, Loki was even more excessive than Tony. For instance, he would dare to interrupt Noah while he was enjoying afternoon tea with Ms.Haifin, or he would appear when Noah was keeping his "agreement" to call Hermione.
This situation was incredibly annoying for Noah. He even "punished" Loki under the guise of "observing" his magical level, but Loki remained unrepentant. Eventually, Noah truly couldn't stand this guy. Once, during a phone call with Hermione, he forcefully dragged Loki out with his phone still connected.
"Are you an idiot? Why do you come to me for everything? If this continues, do you believe I'll just
throw you back to Asgard?"
"Then do it! Do you believe I won't be back shortly after you send me? Don't treat me like a fool; I'm very clear about my current situation."
Loki's nonchalant attitude made Noah feel helpless. This guy was probably so reckless because he saw everything so clearly, right? Noah thought that if Loki applied this cleverness to magic, he might be on par with his own magical level.
"Speak, what trouble have you encountered this time?"
Noah rubbed his temples helplessly, said sorry to Hermione, who was still on the phone, and hung up. "If you're just pure mischief, I promise that for a long time, your parents won't even recognize you when they come to Earth!"
"Mortals rely on appearance for identification..." Loki
scoffed, but his smile froze when he noticed Noah's dangerous gaze. "I've encountered some problems. Every time I channel the power of the Casket of Ancient Winters, it becomes uncontrollable."
Uncontrollable when channeling power? Noah stroked his chin. Wasn't that expected, logically speaking? Loki, as a descendant of Frost Giants, it wasn't surprising for him to lose control when exposed to the Casket's power. If he could perfectly control it, why would he bother with the "Reverse Dragonborn Magic"?
"Is that all?" Noah's expression turned grim.
"Uh... what I mean is, this uncontrollability happens after I channel the power into my body, causing a very severe clash with my physical form," Loki quickly explained
while demonstrating, seeing the situation was amiss.
Summoning the Casket of Ancient Winters, Loki immediately began to shift towards his Frost Giant form. As he channeled the frost power and injected it into his body, his body instantly seemed to distort!
Noah didn't stand idly by upon noticing this state. His first action was to use a spatial confinement to completely fix Loki in place and maintain that state. "If only I had the Force. With a Force choke, even time would be locked." Noah muttered softly, then immediately let his mental power enter Loki's body. His speed had to be quick, as Loki's distorted face seemed to tell Noah he was nearing his limit. Fortunately, Noah's investigation wasn't too difficult; he found Loki's problem in just a short time.
Releasing the confinement, Loki immediately channeled the power out of his body, and he himself propped himself up with his hands on the ground, panting continuously. He looked truly exhausted.
"I understand your situation," Noah stroked his chin. "It's not very serious, but you can't channel it internally for now. You can only learn to control and adapt to it externally."
"Why?" Loki asked, still panting.
"King Odin's seal is very strong. It will have a strong repulsive force against external powers, especially those that are inducive to you. So, you can only take it slow.
When you can go back, explain the situation to King Odin and have this seal removed."
"Is that so? It seems I'll have to study your magic diligently for now."
"Indeed, you should study it well, but not too thoroughly.
Mastering power isn't something that can be achieved in a day or two. You need long-term exposure and practice, understanding its characteristics, learning the various features of this energy, and gradually increasing the amount of energy you can control until you completely master this type of energy."
"Is that so..." Noah nodded, then casually cast a healing spell on Loki. Loki immediately felt much better.
Although he was still panting, he could stand up.
"So you mean, I should extract a small amount of energy from the Casket of Ancient Winters, not ingest it, and practice and familiarize myself with it externally, then gradually increase the amount of this energy until I can completely master the Casket of Ancient Winters?"
"Yes, with such a small amount of energy for training, you'll also have enough free time to learn and modify my magic. And remember this, Loki, when your
understanding of this energy reaches a sufficient height, you yourself will become the Casket of Ancient Winters."
Playing with illusions is good, but you are Loki, not Uchiha Madara. Noah even thought that Loki's illusions probably couldn't compare to Sasuke's, who, despite not being skilled in illusions, almost took down Danzo. So, since there's an opportunity to transform into a Frost Mage, there's no reason to hesitate. It's better than having insufficient magic and being instantly killed in close combat later.
After giving Loki some new advice, Noah left directly. Of course, this time he also quietly did some small things.
For example, Noah took advantage of Loki channeling out
frost power to have the system collect some overflowing energy. While these powers were certainly not as strong as the Infinity Stones, that didn't mean they had no research value, did it? For instance, Noah still had a trace of the Mind Stone's power, which had once influenced Loki, stored in the system space.
These powers differed in intensity, quality, attributes, and effects, but their research value was the same in the eyes of a mage. The only difference was their practical utility.
"Loki's quite lucky. Nagini will be back soon, and he'll be able to get even more data," Noah thought to himself as he walked towards his room. Nagini had been gone for several years, and her mission had gone very well.
Of course, the main reason was that Noah, under the gaze of the whole world, had directly transformed into a giant dragon and incinerated the entire alien invasion force with a single breath! Noah had become a prominent figure in the ordinary world unfortunately, no one knew who Noah truly was, and those who did know dared not reveal his information for various reasons.
However, Noah's situation in the magical world was different. His information was already widely known in the magical world, and this event pushed him to an even higher peak! With Noah leading the "charge" and the power displayed by Dragonborn magic, many in the magical world immediately became interested in this magic, developing a strong yearning for a magic far
surpassing Animagus.
The Blood-Cursed Beast-Humans also living in the magical world naturally learned this information, which reminded them of Nagini. Nagini's mission didn't start very smoothly, as most Blood-Cursed Beast-Humans had already lost hope due to their current lives. Nagini's appearance brought them some glimmer of hope, but not all Blood-Cursed Beast-Humans were willing to believe her, so not many joined her, even when she mentioned Noah's name.
Noah's fame was primarily in the orthodox magical world. These people living at the lowest levels of the magical world had only heard of Noah and nothing else; they might not even know where they heard his name.
But now it was different. With the outbreak of the
Battle of New York and Noah's intervention, overwhelming news allowed even those living at the bottom to access this information and know who Noah truly was.
As a result, many Blood-Cursed Beast-Humans began to regret not agreeing to Nagini. Later, after trying every possible way to find out Nagini's whereabouts, they immediately went to find Nagini and expressed their willingness to join. This made Nagini's mission smoother and more complete; it was basically done now.
"The sparring partners are basically gathered. The rest is to wait for them to go to Kamar-Taj. Someone will be needed to help collect data then," Noah thought as he
walked, stroking his chin. "Also, Nagini needs a good rest.
She's been on the road for so many years; she must be nearing her limit, right? Oh, right, maybe I should also say hello to Dumbledore. Perhaps these Blood-Cursed Beast-Humans need a place to settle down."
Thinking this, Noah directly pushed open his door. To his surprise, Hermione, Ms.Haifin, and Lily were all inside...
