------------

"Hermione, Lily? What are you doing here?" Noah looked at the three women in his room, momentarily bewildered, before finally asking in a slightly strange tone. "Don't you have work, Hermione? And you, Lily, if Severus comes looking for trouble with me again, I'm done with you!"

Hermione's standing in the British wizarding world was growing higher and higher. Although she privately participated in the Battle of New York, this incident did not have any negative impact on her; in fact, her position became even more secure. Especially recently, Dumbledore had entrusted more matters to her, while he himself returned to Hogwarts to retire.

It could be said that Hermione was firmly set to be the next British Minister of Magic! It was precisely because of this that Noah found it strange for this woman to be at his place; her workload was truly beyond what ordinary people could handle.

As for Lily, this girl was practically a repeat offender. This March or April, she had her eighteenth birthday and was officially an adult, but this had not changed her personality. She was very adaptable and loved living in Noah's Sanctum.

This made Professor Snape very unhappy; the professor, who still served as the Head of Slytherin, even came to Noah to settle accounts. This left Noah feeling depressed: You, a doting father, can't manage your own daughter, so why are you coming to me to complain? Of course, Noah, respectful of his teacher, truly dared not do anything to Snape. He could only assure Snape that he would find a solution, then turn around and reprimand Lily. A mentor doesn't need any reason to reprimand an apprentice, and Noah also began to consciously maintain some distance from Lily; this girl was already an adult.

"Senior, it's Monday today. Senior Hermione happened to be at Hogwarts today, so we came over together," Lily explained softly, holding Hermione's hand, while Hermione smiled and nodded.

Hermione was at Hogwarts earlier? Noah tilted his head.

He had just been on the phone with Hermione, if it wasn't for that damned troublemaker Loki. It seemed Hermione was at Hogwarts earlier, otherwise she wouldn't have told him on the phone that she had a surprise for him.

Was this the surprise? Well, let's just say it was a surprise, though he wondered what Dumbledore would think.

"Alright, Noah, Hermione came to see you, you should be happy," Ms.Haifin interrupted Noah, who was about to say more. "You two chat here; I'll prepare some refreshments for you. Lily, come help me."

"Okay, ma'am." Lily wasn't thrilled to go, but she wouldn't disobey Ms.Haifin's wishes. There was a generally accepted saying in the London Sanctum: you might not listen to Noah, and he might not care too much. But if you defied this lady's wishes, Noah would definitely not be pleased.

Even the most arrogant Loki had to grudgingly accept this, and he actually understood Noah quite well. Fortunately, Ms.Haifin was always the most approachable one in the Sanctum, so nothing ever went awry.

Soon, Lily and Ms.Haifin left together, leaving only Hermione and Noah in Noah's room. If this situation had occurred before, Noah wouldn't have seen any problem, but ever since Noah, in what he suspected was a momentary lapse of judgment, said something he shouldn't have at the last banquet, he felt such alone time was somewhat awkward.

"You seem very nervous, Noah," Hermione seemed much more at ease than Noah. "It's been a long time since I've seen you nervous. Let me think, the last time was probably in the Room of Requirement."

"Nervous? I think you're mistaken," Noah absolutely wouldn't admit such a thing. "It just feels a little strange, everything else is fine."

"Is that so?" Hermione smiled. "Then why are you still standing there? This is your room." Noah tilted his head.

He felt his current performance was indeed pathetic. In his previous life, he wasn't a veteran, but he was a competent driver, so why was he holding back now?

Shaking his head, Noah smiled and sat directly beside Hermione.

"So, is it okay for you to just show up like this?" Noah observed the seemingly calm girl before him. He suddenly noticed that beneath her calm facade, she didn't seem so calm after all.

"Of course," Hermione smoothed her long hair. "I greeted Professor Dumbledore, and he fully agreed that the Ministry of Magic and the Sanctum should maintain close ties, so I came over." Dumbledore, that shrewd man, handled things very smoothly and subtly. He probably noticed some slight changes between Noah and Hermione, which is why he gave them a green light all the way. As for how he figured it out, Noah was quite frustrated, because he felt his lips were sealed tight.

"How's the Ministry of Magic doing lately?" When Dumbledore was mentioned, Noah naturally wanted to know about the current situation of the Ministry of Magic.

"Everything's fine," Hermione seemed to get into the flow.

"Your several roommates have all taken up Head of Department positions. Harry has also become the Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. Ron has been transferred to head the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures. Basically, everyone from our year is doing well. Oh, by the way, do you still remember Draco?"

"Draco?" Noah thought for a moment and quickly recalled the little snake who used to be terrified of him. This guy had a father who was very good at running away and a beautiful wife. His whole family seemed to have escaped the disaster of Voldemort thanks to his father's strong will to survive. After that, he apparently joined the Mage Alliance and went to Kamar-Taj.

"What about him?"

"He's doing very well now; he's even become the Head of

the Department of Mysteries."

"Wow, that guy's doing pretty good."

"Yes, actually, looking back now, I feel that the whole Voldemort incident was really a farce." Hermione had also relaxed, and Noah noticed that her jumping train of thought seemed incredibly strong. One moment she was talking about Draco, the next she was recalling Voldemort. However, there did seem to be some connection between the two, it was just that the Malfoy family defected.

But honestly, the whole Voldemort affair was indeed a very interesting farce back then. One could only say that the British disposition was just like that, always thinking they were the best, when in reality, the gap between them and the so-called best was truly not insignificant.

Noah also couldn't stand this bad habit back then. If Professor Dumbledore hadn't come to power and changed the entire magical world's atmosphere, who knew if Noah would still be willing to stay here.

Although the establishment of the secret garden had taken many years, these talents could certainly be moved to other magical communities, especially after Noah became a Guardian.

"It really was a farce. The York Magical Association didn't even cast a glance back then, probably disdaining to act foolishly with these Ministries of Magic, right?"

"Mmm, and the Ministries of Magic worldwide probably all have to thank you. If you hadn't convinced the Sorcerer Supreme, the magical world worldwide would probably just be a dispensable organization in the eyes of truly high-tier mages." Hermione's words came from the heart.

If Noah hadn't proposed creating a Kamar-Taj University, the Ministry of Magic would likely be nothing more than it is now in the eyes of large magical organizations. The Ministry of Magic's inability to control those large magical organizations was a universally acknowledged but unspoken truth.

The disparity between the two sides was simply too immense. The Ministry of Magic itself dared not interfere, and those powerful magical organizations naturally wouldn't pay any attention to these Ministries of Magic. One can imagine how far the Ministry of Magic would have fallen without the mages who went to Kamar-Taj for retreat.

"No need to thank me. Speaking of which, Harry has already taken up the position of Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, so you should have resigned. It seems our Minister of Magic will soon be called Ms. Granger." Noah didn't want to dwell on this topic. While these achievements were certainly something Noah could be proud of, talking about them too much wasn't ideal. Moreover, Noah's ultimate goal in doing so much was simply to prepare for the future.

Although as Noah's strength grew, some of his previous arrangements seemed less effective. But since they were made, they would have some use. As for cannon fodder, forget it; Noah couldn't do something so heartless. But simply supporting from the sidelines with Fury, cheering, and giving "666" was also a contribution, wasn't it?

"It should be soon," Hermione tilted her head. "Although there will be a vote, the internal votes and support are all for me, so it's basically a certainty. Unless something unexpected happens, it should be next March, around your birthday."

"That would truly be the best birthday present," Noah smiled. It wasn't long until 2013, so Hermione's inauguration was basically on schedule.

"We've been talking about my affairs for so long, what

about you, Noah?" Hermione suddenly leaned closer to Noah, her face very close to his. "I know, the Sorcerer Supreme has already handed over some decision-making power of Kamar-Taj to you. So, when will your inauguration ceremony likely be?"

"Mine?" Noah didn't pull away. Although Noah was a little unaccustomed to such proximity, he quite enjoyed it. However, Noah knew very well what the Sorcerer Supreme's inauguration represented. Noah could only hope that the Ancient One could quickly grasp the Domain and avoid some terrible things. In that case, the future would definitely be more stable, at least Noah wouldn't have to worry about so many inexplicable things.

"I don't know, probably in a few more years."

"Is that so? Then, should I congratulate you in advance, future Sorcerer Supreme?"

"No one can say for sure about the future, but I can congratulate you in advance, future British Minister of Magic."

"Thank you, Noah."
