Love is a scary thing.
It feels like an ocean, so deep, there is never a bottom insight underneath me. But the surface is there, for you to raise your head, take a deep breath before you willingly go under again. Before you are dragged back willingly to the rough waves.
On most days, I look at Miko, feel those drags rocking me, dragging me down, down… and I allow myself to just let go. Love is scary, the most terrifying, and yet, most of us drown willingly in that ocean.
We don't know if it's worth it or not. If it will end up with us so wrecked we will never recognize our faces in front of a mirror, or it will be blissful forever. Forever in tune with those dark waves, scary, intense, and deep, out of your control, forever on.
Sometimes, I think I have control over how much I can love Miko. That maybe I will be in too deep, and when it gets a little too much for me to handle, I will put a stop and say no more.
How foolish.
