The cafeteria was buzzing louder than usual, probably because half the academy was still talking about the match.
Conversations blurred into background noise as Brandon and Elena walked through the food line.
Some girls whispered, while some stared at them openly.
Elena didn't seem bothered as she was too busy pressing her face to the glass in front of the food counter.
"Oooh.. Bran look! They have beef cutlets today. And, oh my god, cheesecake too?"
Brandon chuckled under his breath as he reached for a tray.
He placed food on the tray, some beef cutlets, mashed potatoes, bread, and finally the slice of cheesecake she hadn't stopped staring at.
Elena blinked in surprise "Wait, are you really buying me all that?"
Brandon took his mobile and paid at the register without hesitation "You earned it."
She stared at him for a moment and her expression softened but then she puffed out her chest proudly.
"Yes. Yes, I did."
