Sasuke looked at Naruto quietly. After listening to everything Naruto had said, he carefully thought it through and gradually felt that Naruto's analysis made sense.
In the end, Sasuke let out a slow breath in his heart.
Forget it. We'll do it Naruto's way.
At this point, there was no reason to argue further. From the moment Naruto had been reborn, the path he was walking was already far beyond ordinary logic. Sasuke could only choose one thing—to support him with everything he had.
Toneri stepped forward and came to stand beside the two of them. His pale eyes carried a calm confidence as he spoke.
"Naruto, Sasuke, you don't need to worry too much. Although Urashiki escaped, as long as he appears again, I will be able to find him with the Tenseigan."
Sasuke turned his head and looked at Toneri. When Toneri noticed Sasuke's gaze, he immediately understood the doubt in his eyes. He smiled faintly and explained further.
"What I mean is this—if Urashiki appears on Earth and attacks anyone, I will definitely sense him. And if he travels through the starry sky to seek out Momoshiki and Kinshiki, it will be even easier. With the Tenseigan, I can clearly observe his movements."
Sasuke frowned slightly and asked in a deep voice, "According to Naruto, Urashiki came to Earth a long time ago. If that's the case, why didn't you discover him earlier?"
Toneri nodded, having already anticipated the question.
"Urashiki's arrival should have been before I transplanted the Tenseigan. At that time, I naturally couldn't see him. As for why I still couldn't detect him even after obtaining the Tenseigan…" Toneri paused briefly, then continued, "It's because he never attacked anyone on Earth and was constantly using a special power to conceal himself. Under those circumstances, even the Tenseigan would not be able to lock onto him."
As soon as Toneri finished speaking, Naruto nodded in agreement.
"Toneri's judgment is correct," Naruto said calmly. "Urashiki also possesses the Rinnegan, and he can use Yin–Yang Release to shield himself. If he deliberately hides while suppressing his actions, it's normal that even powerful dojutsu wouldn't detect him."
Sasuke narrowed his eyes slightly, absorbing the information, then asked, "So what do we do now? Do we just wait here?"
Naruto nodded without hesitation. "Yes. We'll stay here. This is the best place for Toneri to monitor the situation and wait for Momoshiki and Kinshiki to arrive."
Sasuke glanced back at the distant Earth, his expression unreadable, but he said nothing.
Seeing this, Toneri turned to Naruto and said, "Naruto, I'll first determine the exact position of Momoshiki and Kinshiki. After that, I'll scan Earth again to make sure there's no trace of Urashiki."
Naruto gave a small nod. "Alright. I'm counting on you, Toneri."
Toneri smiled faintly. "At this point, we're already bound together by fate. The Otsutsuki clan will most likely see me as a traitor now. If I'm captured, I may end up becoming the 'guardian' you mentioned… a sacrifice."
Naruto looked straight at Toneri, his expression firm, and said without hesitation, "No. I won't let them hurt you."
Toneri was momentarily stunned. Then, a genuine emotion surfaced in his eyes. He nodded heavily and turned away, activating the power of the Tenseigan to begin his search.
Sasuke watched Toneri leave, then glanced back at Naruto and snorted softly, clearly dissatisfied with how easily Naruto had promised to protect him. Naruto, however, seemed completely unaware of Sasuke's reaction.
The two of them walked side by side until they reached the edge of the lunar surface. They stopped together and gazed at the Earth below.
"Naruto," Sasuke said suddenly, his voice quieter than usual, "how do you feel when you look at the Earth from here?"
Naruto looked at the blue planet before them and smiled slightly. "What about you?"
Sasuke took a deep breath, then slowly exhaled. "I feel… small. When I think about everything that happened in the past, it all suddenly feels meaningless."
Naruto turned his head and looked at him. "What do you mean?"
Sasuke kept his eyes fixed on the Earth, his gaze deep and distant, as if he had been thinking about this for a long time.
"In the ninja world, wherever there are people, there is conflict. Ever since the birth of ninjas, hatred has followed. Wars over resources, nations, bloodlines—revenge upon revenge, endless fighting." Sasuke's voice remained calm, but the weight behind his words was heavy. "At the time, we thought those things were everything."
He paused briefly, then continued.
"But standing here, looking at Earth from the vastness of space, you realize something. We're all just people living on the same planet. There's no real reason to hate each other so deeply, no reason to keep killing each other. We could have lived in peace."
At the end of his words, Sasuke let out another long sigh. "Humans… are too small."
Naruto listened quietly. Then he turned his gaze back to Earth and smiled with a sense of relief.
Sasuke really has grown up.
Now, Sasuke could look at the world from the perspective of a planet rather than a battlefield.
Compared to the universe, the conflicts between ninjas were insignificant. No matter how intense the wars became, the Earth itself remained unchanged. Even a Tailed Beast Ball, something that once felt like the ultimate destructive force, was nothing more than a tiny flash from this distant viewpoint.
Sasuke turned to Naruto and smiled faintly. "Naruto, no matter how powerful the Otsutsuki clan is, don't worry. I'll fight alongside you. Always."
As he spoke, Sasuke raised his fist.
Naruto laughed and raised his own fist, bumping it against Sasuke's.
In that simple gesture, both of them understood each other completely.
To Sasuke in his previous life, Naruto had been everything. After receiving the power of the Sage of Six Paths, Sasuke had even believed that killing Naruto was the only way to sever his final bond with the world.
But Naruto had stopped him.
Sasuke knew, deep in his heart, that he held the same position in Naruto's mind. Naruto had once said it in front of the Sage of Six Paths:
Sasuke is my brother.
He had also said it in front of Itachi—that no matter what Sasuke did, he would never abandon him, because Sasuke was his brother.
Thinking of this, Sasuke smiled sincerely and said, "Since you've been reborn, this time… no matter who stands in our way, we'll defeat them."
Naruto nodded in response, but his heart was far from calm.
What truly worried him wasn't Momoshiki or Kinshiki.
It was the true higher existence of the Otsutsuki clan.
In his previous life, even at the moment of his death, those beings had not revealed themselves. Only a few members of the clan had appeared—and even that had been terrifying enough.
That overwhelming amount of chakra… it was beyond comprehension.
In the end, there had been no one left beside him. Even after sacrificing Kurama and using Baryon Mode, he still hadn't been able to secure victory.
Naruto clenched his fists.
No… everything is happening too fast.
Boruto hadn't even been born yet, and Momoshiki and Kinshiki had already arrived. That meant the time he had planned to use for gradual growth and preparation was gone.
In that case, his previous idea—slowly cultivating the people of this planet, as Kaguya once had—was meaningless.
Why?
Because Naruto had personally witnessed that power.
A single massive chakra sphere falling from the sky could destroy the entire planet. How could anyone fight against that?
Even if every person on Earth became an elite jonin, it would still be useless in the face of such absolute destructive force.
Even if everyone possessed a tailed beast, it would change nothing.
A Tailed Beast Ball would be no more than a mosquito trying to shake a tree when faced with that level of chakra.
The path he had once believed in—forming a united ninja force—suddenly felt flawed.
Sasuke noticed Naruto's tense expression and asked with concern, "Naruto? What's wrong?"
Naruto snapped out of his thoughts, looked at Sasuke, and forced a smile. "It's nothing."
Sasuke clearly didn't believe him, but before he could ask further, Toneri's voice echoed from behind them.
"Naruto, Sasuke—come here."
The two turned around and walked toward him together.
