The scene starts where Do-hwan asks, "Why do you still have this pic…? Is this…?"
Ring, ring! Do-hwan's phone rings.
It's a call from Jaeahn. "Hey, where are you now? Jongsuk has a high fever, and he's getting unconscious!"
Jaeahn's heart falls fast. Panic rises in her chest as she rushes to take Jongsuk to the hospital.
At that moment, Do-hwan arrives at the hospital.
"It's not too serious, but… where have you been? You know how many times I called you!" Jaeahn says angrily.
"Ok… sorry for my bad!" Do-hwan responds.
"It's happening again," Jaeahn scolds him.
"I'm pretty sure Jongsuk is hiding something from us… because in my whole life, it's the first time I've seen him like this," she continues.
"How do you know? How could you find out what he's hiding?" Do-hwan asks.
"I… have proof," Jaeahn says, holding a note he received today. "After that, he behaved strangely…" She shows the note.
"What the—?" Do-hwan gasps.
"I just read it… What does it mean? And how did he know about 62 days?" Jaeahn asks herself.
"Did you also know?"
"I'm not entirely sure, but back in the orphanage days, Jongsuk went missing… for 62 days. The police rescued him from the nearest forest. After that, he never told us what happened. His whole body was covered in blood. He didn't speak for 13 days, had nightmares, and even tried to harm himself. It took a whole year to see him recover…" Jaeahn explains, her voice trembling.
Do-hwan stands still, processing the story. "Then this… is related to that incident at the orphanage. If it is, we need to find out everything," he says.
"I'm not sure… but I'm certain it's connected. If it isn't, then how would they know… and what does 62 days mean?" Jaeahn whispers.
"Please… don't tell Jongsuk about this. It didn't take me long to find the note or the person behind it," she pleads.
Later, Jongsuk wakes up. Jaeahn rushes to him.
"Are you okay?"
"Nooo! I had a heart attack and got admitted to the hospital!" she says, hitting his head playfully. "Did I rent a room for you here? I think you love the hospital more than home—so maybe we should rent a room here permanently!"
"Hey, Jaeahn, stop it," Do-hwan laughs, unable to contain himself. "We're at the hospital!"
Soon after, Jongsuk is discharged. It wasn't serious. On the way back, Do-hwan drives while Jaeahn and Jongsuk fall asleep in the car.
Do-hwan glances at them, feeling emotional. I hope your relationship stays like this… I hope your brother gets what he wants and everything is exposed… but I'm scared if something happens to Jaeahn… he thinks.
"You know your brother is different when it comes to you. He really cares," Do-hwan says.
"I know… but I want to tell me that face to face," Jaeahn thinks, keeping her eyes closed but not sleeping.
At home, Jongsuk receives a call from an unknown number, but Jaeahn sees it. She doesn't want to miss it, so she asks Do-hwan to hurry and pick up the phone.
A cold voice raises on the line, "Why did it take so long to find him?"
"Find him ?? who…," Do-hwan tells Jaeahn.
Jaeahn pushes Do-hwan. "Hey! Are you stupid? Tell him, 'Give me some time; I'll find her.'"
"Ok… I'll find her. Give me some time. You already saw her pic I sent you?"
"Yes," Do-hwan replies.
The call ends.
Jaeahn whispers, "Did we see her phone?" Then shakes her head. "No… it doesn't matter. We don't have the right to check her phone without permission."

The next morning…
[Today is the first trial of Hyejin's murder.]
At court, Jongsuk and Jaeahn sit with suspicion. They want to catch the real culprit behind Hyejin's boss.
"We're starting now," the judge announces.
"Ok… we begin," Jaeahn replies.
"Do you have any evidence?" Jongsuk asks.
"Yes. Everything is enough to catch Hyejin's boss… to catch the shark," Jaeahn says confidently.
"Shark…?"
"Yes… the mastermind behind everything," Jaeahn explains.
"Ahhh…" Jongsuk murmurs, shocked.
"How far has the case progressed? Have you found any evidence?" the judge asks.
"Yes… we'll bring all the evidence we found," Jaeahn replies.
"Ok… explain everything to us," the judge instructs.
Jaeahn presents Hyejin's phone, showing a threatening message:
"I'll kill you for sure if you don't come now. I'll find you… I know you're going to expose us."
She also plays a voice recording from Hyejin's phone. In it, Hyejin screams and begs for her life, but another person says, "It's too late for your apology," followed by a gunshot. Then a voice says, "Take care of the body."
"Good job, Prosecutor Jaeahn. I didn't expect you to find so much evidence in just one day," the judge says.
"Thank you," Jaeahn replies humbly.
The judge asks if they found the culprit.
"No… give us two more days. But if we find her, we request the right to catch her immediately, without an arrest warrant," Jaeahn states.
"Alright… I trust you'll find her," the judge agrees.
---
Back at the office, Jaeahn listens to the voice recording again. Jongsuk asks, "Why are you listening to that record?"
Jaeahn smiles mysteriously. "Hearing that sound… it gives me so much peace!"
"Hey… Jaeahn, why are you behaving like this?" Jongsuk says, confused.
At that moment, Jongsuk receives a message from an unknown number: "You're running late!"
He grows angry. "What? He didn't…?"
"Please… tell me what you're doing…" the sender continues.
"No… you didn't even trust me. That's why you didn't tell me anything," Jongsuk mutters.
"Please… leave me. I just don't want to talk to you," he adds.
Jaeahn watches silently, thinking about why he wouldn't talk to her.
Jongsuk leaves the office, and Jaeahn notices he forgot his phone. She sees a message from the unknown number and chases it. Shocked, she exclaims, "What is this? Who is this boy?" She takes a picture of him.
She goes behind Jongsuk and grabs his hand.
Jongsuk, angry, shouts
... soo jaeahn throws his phone, then leaves with tears in his eyes.
Should I just die for guilt…? he thinks. It's the first time he's seen Jaeahn cry so badly.
"Oh… shit…" Jongsuk mutters.
---
At home, Jaeahn looks at the picture of the boy and thinks, "Why do I feel like I've seen him before…? I'm sure I knew him, but why can't I remember?"
At that moment, her doorbell rings.
