The homeroom teacher and some other teachers in the office looked at Mrs. Field with sympathy. With her behavior, her husband's position in the education department might be in jeopardy. Mr. Jun's connections are massively extensive, and the city would likely be more than willing to do him this favor. In the future, it won't be so easy for Mrs. Field to enjoy the vanity of being flattered and courted.
Seeing her mother like this, Mrs. Field's daughter was also a bit scared. She had been weeping, but now she even forgot to cry.
Mabel Quinn noticed this and squatted down, speaking to her daughter, "Ivy, you and Bella had a fight. Shouldn't you go and apologize?"
"But Bella Field doesn't believe me. She even called me a liar!" the little one said defiantly.
"Well, you had a fight and... uh, you won. Did she end up believing what you said?" Mabel asked in return.
