"Go have your pipe dream!"
Easton Holmes replied irritably before hanging up without hesitation, as he saw Lily Turner approaching with a bowl of washed hawthorns.
Just as she walked over, Lily heard what Easton said and asked, "Who are you telling to have a pipe dream?"
She brought the hawthorns over and sat down beside him.
"Darling! I'm really at a disadvantage because of you now."
He was originally the boss, but now because of her, he didn't even know where he ranked.
The second was her cousin, and the third was her brother-in-law. These two clearly had him over a barrel.
Easton didn't know where to voice his grievances, and his future status looked worrisome.
Lily was utterly puzzled, not understanding why Easton expressed such a sentiment, so she simply said, "And then?"
How was she putting him at a disadvantage?
"So you must back me up in the future."
