Theodore Holmes's reaction and behavior today made Grant Heath very surprised and puzzled, and even quite angry. He tried his best not to be so angry; figuring out the situation was the most important thing right now.
"Lily Turner is living a very happy life now. If you genuinely care for her, you should not disturb her. If you insist on your idea, I'm certain Lily will definitely hate you." Theodore paused for a moment, then continued, "You don't want her to hate you, do you?"
While speaking, he stared intently into the other person's eyes.
When Grant Heath heard Theodore say that Lily would hate him, his pupils contracted sharply. Her hate was something he could not accept under any circumstances.
Over the years, he had done so much for her. He did not want to see her hating him; that was not the ultimate goal he was pursuing.
"I won't let the day come when she hates me," Grant Heath said, meeting Theodore's gaze fiercely, his eyes sharp and indifferent.
