The Mechanical Empire has many drawbacks in its system, but it is not without merit.
The existence of the psychological screening system allows those who successfully pass it to easily gain the trust of high-ranking individuals.
Even someone like Ren Zhong, who, despite looking normal to the naked eye, clearly had many unreliable traits, still enjoyed the benefits of this system, gaining nearly blind trust from the Imperial Family and ministers, and extracting the empire's resources effectively.
Nowadays, Duke Wenle, Ivan Romanov, likewise enjoys this treatment.
He doesn't need to explain where his knowledge comes from; he just needs to present the results directly. The Empire's Chosen Ones have always been this way.
After being saved time and again by the Chosen Ones, the Mechanical Empire's people have become superstitious, believing they possess a destiny and that they will always receive the universe's protection.
