Luffy stood in the center of the strange area, looking around with a puzzled expression. "Where is this?" he asked himself, his voice echoing against the cold stone. He turned to look at the numerous statues surrounding the space, but his curiosity quickly turned to a look of pure disgust. While Luffy usually loved statues—especially heroic or mysterious ones—he couldn't stand these. They were all shaped like pigs, and to his eyes, they were incredibly ugly. They didn't meet his sense of aesthetics at all. He preferred things that looked powerful and cool, not these bloated, strange carvings.
As Luffy started to walk toward the large altar at the front of the room, he suddenly felt an invisible wall blocking his path. He pushed against the air, but he couldn't move forward.
"Human! How dare you trespass on the altar dedicated to the great Pig God? This Pig God will not spare you today. I am going to eat you right now!"
A hoarse, unpleasant voice rang out through the empty chamber. It sounded gloomy and terrifying, designed to strike fear into the heart of anyone who heard it. However, no matter how spooky the voice tried to be, it didn't bother Luffy at all. He didn't look scared; instead, he looked annoyed.
Luffy closed his eyes for a split second, letting his Observation Haki sweep across the entire room. In an instant, he locked onto a specific location behind the pillars. "Come out already. I see you," Luffy said, looking provocatively toward the shadows.
Suddenly, Luffy felt his body become weightless. He began to float into the air. "Huh? Am I flying? No, it feels like something is lifting me up, but I don't feel anything touching me. What is going on?" He tried to kick his legs, but there was nothing to push against. It felt as if an invisible platform was carrying him higher and higher.
Luffy was lifted until he was about 200 meters above the ground. Just as abruptly as the force had appeared, it vanished. Luffy began to fall through the air, but the invisible power didn't stop there. It reappeared above him, pressing down on his head and shoulders, forcing him to plummet toward the ground even faster than normal gravity would allow.
"Hahaha! This is actually pretty interesting!" Luffy laughed. He wasn't panicked by the fall at all. He looked down to see where he was going to land, and his eyes widened. Directly beneath him, a massive, bloody mouth was wide open, waiting to swallow him whole.
"Whoa!" Luffy shouted. He quickly kicked the air, using the Moonwalk technique to propel himself sideways. He shifted his trajectory just in time, narrowly missing the giant maw. As he drifted down safely to the side, he finally got a clear look at the creature that had tried to eat him.
"What? A pig-headed man? You're a monster!" Luffy yelled. Before he even hit the ground, he stretched his leg back and launched a kick straight into the creature's stomach.
The pig-headed man didn't even flinch. He watched with squinted eyes as Luffy retracted his rubber leg and landed on the stone floor. The two stood face-to-face. The creature was massive, standing at least 10 meters tall with thick, powerful muscles. His face was ferocious, featuring huge, sharp fangs that caught the light, making him look truly dangerous.
"Heh. You're a human with a few tricks, I see," the pig-headed man said with a sneer. He patted his stomach where Luffy had kicked him, showing that the blow hadn't caused any damage at all.
"What kind of monster are you?" Luffy asked, sounding annoyed. "You said you wanted to eat me, but maybe I should eat you instead!"
"Monster? You're the monster!" the creature roared. "I am the Pig God, the ruler of this island! If you dare to trespass here, I will devour you. You humans are getting bolder every day. A group came through here not long ago, and they only escaped because I was taking a nap. But you caught me while I was wide awake. You're just unlucky, human. Now, prepare to be a sacrifice!"
Luffy picked his ear, looking bored. "What are you talking about? It doesn't matter anyway. It's not going to be easy to eat me because I'm really strong."
The pig-headed man let out a series of strange, snorting laughs. "No matter how strong a human is, they can't defeat a god! Just give up and die!"
The creature narrowed his eyes, and a strange ripple of power spread through the air. Luffy felt the invisible force wrap around him like chains, dragging his body toward the giant. The pig-headed man grinned and clamped a large, heavy hand onto Luffy's shoulder.
"I remember that human arms are the most delicious part," the Pig God grunted. "I think I'll start with yours. Go ahead and scream. Your cries will give me a big appetite!"
He began to pull on Luffy's arm with incredible strength, trying to rip it from the socket. To his shock, the arm didn't tear. It just kept getting longer and longer, stretching out like a piece of pulled taffy. Luffy didn't look like he was in pain at all; in fact, he was smiling.
"You... you aren't human! What kind of monster are you?" the pig-headed man gasped, staring at the long, thin arm in his hand.
"Of course I'm human," Luffy chuckled. "I'm a rubber man! I ate the Gum-Gum Fruit, so you can't just tear my arm off like that!"
Luffy suddenly pulled his arm back with immense force. He hardened his body using Armament Haki, turning his skin a shiny, metallic black. With a sharp burst of energy, he shattered the invisible force that had been holding him in place.
"Gum-Gum Pistol!" Luffy shouted, throwing a lightning-fast punch toward the creature's face.
The pig-headed man managed to raise his forearm just in time to block the strike. Even though he stopped the punch, the sheer power behind it sent him sliding backward across the floor. He looked down at his arm and saw smoke rising from his skin. The smell of roasted meat filled the air.
"Wow, that smells great!" Luffy said, his stomach growling. "You're a pig-headed man, so that means you're basically a pig, right? You probably taste better than those striped pigs we find in the woods. I'm going to catch you and take you back to the ship. Sanji will know exactly how to cook you!"
Luffy's mouth began to water as he stared at the giant creature. His eyes were wide with hunger, making the pig-headed man feel a sudden, cold shiver run down his spine. The creature felt a surge of rage and shame. He had spent years eating humans, and now a human was looking at him like he was a main course.
"Human! You think it's easy to eat me? I am a god!" the creature screamed. "Ever since I ate that disgusting fruit, I gained invincible power! No one can kill me! Every human who has ever looked upon my face has died, and you will be no different!"
Luffy tilted his head. "A disgusting fruit? Oh, I get it now. I thought you were someone special, but you're just a Devil Fruit user."
The pig-headed man blinked, looking confused. He didn't seem to understand the term "Devil Fruit," but he didn't care. He was determined to kill the human who had insulted his dignity.
His eyes began to glow with a strange red light. He unleashed his invisible power again, trying to crush Luffy where he stood. This time, Luffy simply leaned his body to the side, effortlessly avoiding the unseen pressure. The pig-headed man grew frustrated and launched attack after attack, swinging his power wildly.
Luffy put his hands behind his head and began to stroll through the room. Using his Observation Haki, he could sense exactly where the invisible strikes were coming from before they even moved. He danced between the attacks, dodging every single one without breaking a sweat. The pig-headed man began to break out in a cold sweat of his own.
"What is happening? Why can't I hit him?" the creature stammered. He realized that this human was on a completely different level than anyone he had ever fought before.
Luffy stopped and picked his nose, looking completely unimpressed. "Is that it? I thought you were supposed to be powerful, but I can dodge your stuff without even trying. If this is all you've got, I'm done playing with you."
