Chapter 464 - Chapter 464: Kizaru, Did Akainu Give You a Raise?

Magma fists rained down from the sky, targeting the Straw Hats, the Blackbeard Pirates, and the Big Mom Pirates. The Whitebeard Pirates, still navigating the churning seas, were also caught in the barrage. While the Blackbeard and Big Mom crews scrambled to dodge, the Straw Hats utilized their unique abilities to block the incoming magma. Whitebeard took a simpler approach, shattering the magma fists with a single punch; the resulting shockwaves surged toward Sakazuki's warship, forcing the Admiral to halt his assault to stabilize his own position.

Meanwhile, Issho held half of a massive meteorite in the air with his gravity powers before hurling it toward the Straw Hat group. Luffy smashed the debris aside and waved up at the Admiral. "Uncle Issho, get out of the way! I don't want to fight you!".

"Hohohoho, Straw Hat Luffy, I am a Marine Admiral," Issho replied with a smile. "Now that I have met you, one of the Five Emperors, how can I not act? You should surrender, or I will not be polite!".

Issho leaped into the air, his body glowing with purple light. He unleashed a dozen purple halos that drifted toward the sky. The Straw Hats, recognizing the danger, maneuvered to avoid them. Sanji steered the Thousand Sunny and the submarine to safety, but Blackbeard, unaware of the threat, watched as the halos struck Sanjuan Wolf.

"Huh? What kind of attack is this? I am fine," the giant scoffed. However, the Blackbeard Pirates felt a sense of dread. Remembering the previous meteorite, they realized the halos were likely a trap. Suddenly, Sanjuan Wolf realized he was no longer under the control of his Devil Fruit and began to plummet toward the sea.

"Damn it! It is the Gravity Fruit!" Blackbeard cursed, his face hardening as he recalled the events at Dressrosa. He realized the Gravity Fruit acted as a direct counter to his Lion Fruit; while he could make objects float, Issho could force them back down with overwhelming gravity.

As the giant fell faster, Blackbeard realized he couldn't overcome the Admiral's manipulation. He made a cold, decisive choice: he abandoned the wolf. The crew jumped onto a piece of drifting wreckage and took to the sky again, leaving Sanjuan Wolf to roar in rage and helplessness as he plunged into the ocean.

"Admiral Issho, Sanjuan Wolf has fallen into the water!" Vice Admiral Maynard reported.

"Oh? Only one was caught? Never mind, just handcuff them with Seastone, and I will continue to arrest the others. Neither the Straw Hats nor the Blackbeards can be allowed to escape!" Issho replied, unbothered by the giant's fate.

Back on a separate warship, Sakazuki watched Kizaru, who was still casually trimming his nails. The new Marshal's expression darkened; he felt Kizaru had become increasingly lazy and prone to "fishing" on the job since Sengoku stepped down. Sakazuki barked, "Borsalino, why are you not acting?".

"The Marshal is angry, that is terrifying! This old man will do it now," Kizaru said lazily, vanishing in a flash of light. He reappeared above the Thousand Sunny.

Luffy picked his nose and looked at the Admiral. "Borsalino, why are you here again? Did Akainu give you a raise? Why are you trying so hard?".

Kizaru's face twitched with annoyance. "I am not here to beat you, I am going to beat Blackbeard!". He ignored the Straw Hats and turned into a beam of light, instantly appearing above the Blackbeard Pirates. He unleashed his Yasakani no Magatama, raining countless light bullets down upon them. Without the need to hold back, Kizaru fought with his full strength.

Blackbeard, struggling under the assault, shouted, "Kizaru, why are you here? Did Akainu give you a raise?".

Kizaru snapped. Being questioned by Luffy was one thing—due to Garp's influence—but being mocked by a pirate like Blackbeard was unacceptable. "I will kill you!" Kizaru roared, unleashing multiple volleys of light bullets. Blackbeard was forced to desperately manifest black mist to swallow the projectiles, while his crew scrambled to survive the light-speed bombardment.

On the deck, Sakazuki watched with grim satisfaction. He felt that if Kizaru maintained this level of productivity, his duties as Marshal would be much easier.
