SCENE: Terror HQ, New York Branch.

One-shot walks onto the scene, meeting up with Scratch Mark and Lightspeed in a room.

One-shot: (smirking) Just finished reporting to Commander Heavy Machinery, he's pleased with our work. No doubt that promotion is in our future. (the other two join in the smirking)

Scratch Mark: Damn right. It's been a long time coming, and now it'll soon be ours.

Lightspeed: Planting that mole in Enforcement was a bright idea, huh.

Scratch Mark: Of course. Only one of my finest ideas.

One-shot: (cocks a brow at him) Yeah right. If I remember correctly, it was Cold Snap's idea.

Scratch Mark: (waves it off, literally) Whatever. It's not like she's here chastise me for taking credit for it.

Lightspeed: That said. What did the commander say about Cold Snap's death?

Frostfight: (speaking in a menacingly dark tone) Yeah. I'd also like to know about what happened to my sister. (the three turn around to face the fourth party, their expressions quickly turning to ones of fear and panic at sight of a large, burly man, one all too familiar to them)

All: (stuttering in fear) F-f-f-frostfight. (the room grows colder, the air begins to condense around them as the frightening figure, more than 3ft taller all of them, slowly stalks towards them)

Frostfight: What about my sister? How did she die?

Scratch Mark: (trembling and shaking, more from fear than the rapidly dropping temp) Uh-uh-uh well--

Frostfight: (grabs him by the throat and lifts him above the ground, speaking angrily) What happened to my sister?

Scratch Mark: (struggling to speak from being choked) I-it…wasn't…our…fault. She…w-was…k-killed…by…Enforcement.

Frostfight: (now angrier, yelling) And somehow out of six agents, she was the only who died? Your story's not making too much sense. (Scratch Mark's neck begins to freeze from under Frostfight's grip)

Scratch Mark: P-p-please.

Lightspeed: Frostfight wait, please. We all fought the enforcers, but she was killed by one of them. Cold Snap trapped Empath in a snowstorm but she escaped and hit her with a suicide attack that made her kill herself. There was nothing we could do.

Frostfight: (looks over at Lightspeed) And what happened to her?

Lightspeed: Dead. She's dead.

One-shot: Her whole team is dead.

Frostfight: (drops Scratch Mark whom instantly begins coughing and gasping for air) Not good enough. I want them all dead. (in a darker tone oozing with bloodthirst) All of Enforcement.

SCENE: Unknown location.

Scratch Mark: With EHQ now in partial ruins, it'll be easier to act. Kill all the Enforcement members. You two, go.

Gold and Silver Brothers: (both) Yes sir. (they flash step out of sight; after the two leave, a fourth party speaks up from the shadows)

Militant: (his speech rather sophisticated for his theme) Do you think they can really handle sir? The Gold and Silver Brothers may be strong, and Enforcement may be greatly weakened right now, but can they really take on an entire building of trained soldiers?

Scratch Mark: (chuckles evilly) Not at all. But they can serve as a distraction for what you'll be doing. I want you to kill all of the escapees that Enforcement is hiding from us.

SCENE: Enforcement HQ. Recovery Room.

Lazarus now fully awake, sits on his bed as Anastasia walks into the room with a tray of food in her hands. Walking over to Lazarus, she hands it over to him.

Anastasia: How you doing now?

Lazarus: (nods and answers as robotically as always) Better. (accepts the tray)

Anastasia: We still got a lot training to go through so eat up, you need your strength. I got it from the cafeteria. Didn't know what you liked, so I just got you a general lunch meal. Hope you like grilled cheese and ham.

Lazarus looks down at the contents on the tray: a small stack of grilled cheese and ham sandwiches made with vegetables and mayo, closer inspection of the sandwiches reveals that the bread is actually toast. Accompanying this is a plate of tater tots on one side and a smaller bowl of dipping sauce on the other. Lastly a cold cup of chocolate milkshake. He takes one sandwich, seeming to scan it with his eyes as if trying to detect any abnormalities within it. He takes a cautious bite, his expression changes to one of mild satisfaction at the taste, suggesting he likes it. He swallows and takes another bite, grabbing a pinch full of tater tots and tossing it into his mouth.

Anastasia: I take it you like it. Eat up, you'll need all the strength you can get. (a loud, angry voice suddenly rings out from behind Anastasia)

Guinevere: I KNEW IT! You're with your new prodigy.

Anastasia: Guinny. Don't be ridiculous. I was just training him, it's literally my job. And trainers always takes care of their trainees.

Guinevere: (angrily stomps over to them) Oh so that's why you've been constantly investing all your time on him and neglecting to help me train?

Anastasia: Guinny, please…

Lazarus: Uh…who?

Anastasia: Oh right. Blondie this is Guinny, one of my earliest students and my most impressionable. Guinny, this Blondie, the new recruit Bishop assigned to me.

Lazarus: Not our real names.

Guinevere: Oh, so you're Bishop's little science experiment.

Lazarus: (surprised) Science experiment?

Anastasia: (taken aback) Guinevere!

Lazarus: What do you mean by--

Anastasia: Never mind that. Guinny, I told you I'll be busy for a while.

Guinevere: Last time I checked, a while didn't equal almost a whole month. I need to get stronger so I can get back at the white-haired brat for humiliating me.

Lazarus: Kyle?

Guinevere: It's not fair that you're only training him. I want to get back at that twerp too. I need to get as strong as possible.

Anastasia: Guinny, that kid singlehandedly powered through an army of armed and full-powered guards, defeated multiple high-ranking enforcers, including myself, (gestures to herself) killed three of them, caused devastating damage to half the entire building, sliced Blondie's back in half with just one kick and walked away with just a broken arm. He's clearly on a level all on his own. How much training do you think you would have to do to even match him?

Guinevere: I have to start somewhere. I'm not gonna catch up to him just by sitting on my hands and licking my wounds.

Anastasia: (seeing the adamant look on her students face she relents, letting out a heavy sigh as she pinches the spot of skin between her brows) Fine.

Guinevere: (lights up) Really?

Anastasia: Yes. Since you're so dead set on this, both of you can train together.

Guinevere: (flabbergasted) WHAT?!

Anastasia: (smirking) You want to train right away, and I'm still in the middle of training Blondie here, so you're gonna have to train together.

Guinevere: (angry) No!

Anastasia: (turns to Lazarus) What do you think Blondie?

Lazarus: (raises his cup) As long as it doesn't hinder my progress, I don't care if I have to train alongside a blind cow with hooks where there should be hoofs.

Guinevere: (angrier) EXCUSE ME?!

Lazarus: (takes a sip of the shake, widens his eyes in disgust and spits it back out) Blegh! (drops the cup) Not a good taste.

Anastasia: Well that's that then. Get ready you two, training continues in an hour.

Guinevere: (stupefied) What?!

Anastasia walks away with a proud smirk on her face, leaving Lazarus with a dumbfounded Guinny, stunned with a wide-open mouth on her face. Elsewhere in the building, a tall, pretty, light-skinned lady with light-orange eyes, pale pink-white hair and large breasts walks down the hallway of the building. This being Pink Armor, now in just normal clothes – that is, just a black skintight, two-piece outfit consisting of a sleeveless top and long-pants on black boots. As she walks, she suddenly feels a hand on her shoulder. She turns to the person responsible and sees Red Armor.

Red Armor: I need to talk to someone. (the two head over to a private room; Pink just stands there, staring at her team leader)

Pink Armor: Sir?

Red Armor: Something has to be done. That child has severely crippled the Branch's standing and killed three of our members. Prof. Cunnycut doesn't understand, this is great insult that needs to be punished.

Pink Armor: But he said not to.

Red Armor: The boy is injured, we're not, if we are to teach him a lesson, we are to do it now.

Pink Armor: If Prof. Cunnycut were to find out…

Red Armor: He is too busy dealing with building repairs. He will never find out.

Pink Armor: (hesitant) But…

Red Armor: Enough Pink Armor. We need to avenge our teammates and return the reputation of the Armor-clad Five. (Pink mulls it over, then nods, deciding to follow her leader)

Red Armor: Good. Send trackers out to find the boy.

Pink Armor: Yes sir. (Pink twirls around to the door, her long, pale pink-white locks whipping in the air as she does so)

SCENE: Kalahan Manor.

Neil and Candy leave Kyle's house for the day, the two walk in comfortable silence as they recollect all they talked about.

(flashback)

The three lounge in Kyle's Lab, brainstorming ways to deal with the problem. Kyle seats in his chair, pondering on a solution, his right leg lying on top of his left knee, his elbows pressed on the leg as he clasps his hands together to rest his chin on them in thought. After being in this pose for over half an hour, he finally speaks up.

Kyle: Terror sent some of their men to Laz's place, so surely they must know that Laz is with Enforcement. And if their method of 'holding people's skills hostage' is similar to how Enforcement 'saves' their lives, then they should also know that Laz is powerless now. (Neil who is sitting atop a desk looks over at Kyle)

Neil: If. We don't know for sure that they'd be similar. It wouldn't make sense for them to strip their victims of their skills completely, because then they'd totally useless to them completely. And how would you hold something that no longer exists hostage?

Kyle: Yes, I considered that too. But then, that would mean that they would atleast know he's still alive somehow? But how? (Candy, who's sitting on a large copier/printer thinks about it then speaks to her friends)

Candy: It's also possible that may not go after him after all.

Kyle: But you're the one who said--

Candy: I know what I said, but…you have a point. If that skill contaminant was actually to poison him then, it's not a stretch to assume that Terror probably don't know of Enforcement's depowering method, so they'll probably think he's already dead.

Neil: That's a big probably.

Kyle: Neil's right. We really don't know anything about either organization at all, what they're fully capable of and how they get their intelligence. So we have to assume that they may know that Laz is still alive, maybe even that he now has new skills.

Neil: And if they decide to the base now that it's in partial ruins…

Candy: Damn, that'll be bad.

Kyle: (sighs and straightens up) Welp, there's nothing we can do about it anyway, the two of us are still recuperating and Candy's not nearly strong enough to take them on her own.

Candy: (offended) Rude.

Kyle: It's all just speculation anyway. But we should at least figure out a way to stay in the loop. I'll work on it right now. (turns by to his computers) For now, let's just hope things don't get more complicated.

(flashback ends)

Candy: What do you think?

Neil: About what?

Candy: About…all of this. Do you really think we can get Laz back and snap him out this funk?

Neil: I don't know. I've been in a lot of…difficult situations before, but none quite like this.

Candy: What do you mean by difficult?

Neil: Don't worry about it. it's not relevant to the situation anyway. (stomach growls, hugs his stomach) Hah, I need to eat something.

Candy: I'm supposed to meet Mavy at the mall right now, wanna come too?

Neil: (nods) Sure, why not. But if either of you walk into one clothing store, I walk in the opposite direction.

Candy: (chuckles cutely) Deal.

The two walk off, not noticing that they are being watched by a bird.

SCENE: Genesis Shopping plaza.

Mavy leans on the leg of a billboard stand, patiently waiting, she stares off at the ground, lost in thought. She turns her head when she hears footsteps, and sees Candy running steadily towards her with Neil barely catching up behind, still recovering his strength, though his injuries are already fully healed.

Candy: (right hand waving high above her head) Mavy, hey.

Mavy: (waves back cheerfully) Candy! (both girls hug) 'bout time you got here. What took you so long?

Candy: (smiles nervously) Hah, yeah…sorry, I…ah…had to take care of something.

Mavy: (looks over to see the slightly older male, a head taller than to the two girls) I see. (hugs him) Afternoon Neil, so…let me guess: got hurt in another training accident?

Neil: (glances away awkwardly) Uhhhh, something like that Anyway, can we stop to get something to eat first?

Mavy: Sure.

The trio walk into the building, once again not noticing a bird watching them. Shortly after watching them enter the mall, the bird takes off. It flies back to Enforcement HQ, where Pink Armor waits patiently for it on the roof. It perches on her shoulder and tweets something in her, in a tone no louder than what would a whisper for humans and despite it just being bird sounds she understands every word perfectly.

Pink Armor: Found them. (an evil grin spreads across her face)

SCENE: Enforcement HQ, Battle Simulation Room.

Lazarus and Guinevere stand in an empty room, with walls and floors made of reflective, glass-like tiles. They look around confused before Guinevere finally speaks up.

Guinevere: Okay where are we? And why are we here?

Anastasia: (over intercom) You're in the HQ Battle Simulation Room.

Guinevere: Battle Simulation?

Anastasia: (over intercom) Yes. This is where, we test the through limits of your abilities on a battlefield. Normally, this is reserved for top-tier enforcers. But I've been able to convince the higher-ups to allow you train in it just this once.

Guinevere: Okay, start simulation.

Several hidden doors suddenly open up in the walls, and hordes of dangerous looking men and women come out. All of which are dressed fully in white with black rings around the wrists, waists and ankles of the clothing, slightly reminiscing of prison uniform. They all wear metal collars with green lights around their necks and all surround the pair, looking angry and deadly.

Guinevere: (gulps) Um…they kinda look a bit real for simulations.

Lazarus: That's because they are.

Guinevere: (shocked) What?

Anastasia: (over intercom) He's right. These are all dangerous inmates captured in by Enforcement over the years, terrorists, rogue supervillains, Terror agents. Your test, to fight them.

Guinevere: (growing afraid) Huh? I thought you said this was a simulation room?

Anastasia: (over intercom) Well, simulation so to speak. Rather than using hard light holoprojections, this simulates fights by pitting you against real, dangerous, bloodthirsty criminals. Testing your ability to deal with real opponent that won't hesitate to kill you when they have the chance, to think on your feet in a life-or death situation, you know, all the stuff on a real battlefield. You want a second chance at fighting Kyle, then take these guys down.

Guinevere: … Just great. (both metas have different expressions on their faces, while Lazarus' is calm, collected and resolute, Guinevere's is more of uncertain and slightly panicked)

Anastasia: (over intercom) Oh and one more thing. There are 40 inmates, no way to stop them from outside, so you have defeat them all yourselves or you will die.

Both: (astonished) Huh? (Lazarus' cool-as-a-cucumber demeanor begins to crack for the first time since his waking up, while Guinevere's mind is quickly being overrun with feelings of fear)

Anastasia: (over intercom) Begin!

The green lights on the collars turn red and the collars snap off. The prisoners, now free, charge at the two teens. Two guys rush at Guinevere, colored aura radiating off of them. Time seems to slow down as she skillfully dodges their advancement and slashes them with her new spear. A tool twice her height in length with wood-brown body, circular, disc-like hilt and blade of green plasma projected from its top.

One dashes at Lazarus but he casually flings her away with his telekinesis. In the control room, Anastasia watches the fight alongside several others including casually-dressed woman in a lab coat sitting next to her.

Anastasia: (turns off the intercom and turns to Courtney) Are you sure this is safe Courtney? These may just be mid-level inmates but they're still some of the dangerous people from around the nation.

The woman 'Courtney', is a tall and pretty young lady who looks about around Anastasia's age. She has peach and cream skin, honey-brown hair tied back into a bun and hazel eyes over which she wears rectangular, black-framed glasses. Her outfit consists entirely of a lab coat, under which she wears a mint-green turtleneck and gray cargo pants with dark-brown slip-ons and golden stud-earrings.

Courtney: Don't worry they'll be fine. Remember, you're the one who recommended it for them and if the higher-ups agree, they must be ready. Besides, don't forget, we implanted special tiny earpieces into the back of their heads that produce a disorientating high-frequency sound directly into their brains at the push of a button. If things get too dangerous, I can stop it instantly. Just sit back, watch and trust your students.

Anastasia: (a bit unsure) Okay.

Some fire beams at them which Lazarus blocks with a telekinetic force field, as one leaps over and claps his hands together for a groundpound, Lazarus raises his hand blasts a stream of fire at him. Guinevere easily beats down a man who attacks her. Another grows sharp claws and tries to attack her from behind, but she notices his presence in time and spins, slashing his midsection in the process, beating him.

Courtney: (impressed) Wow. They're doing far better than I expected. They really are strong.

Anastasia: Yeah. Maybe they'll be fine after all. (one generates fireballs and throws them at Lazarus, which he puts out with an ice blast; one inmate fires purple energy spikes at them, which Guinevere effortlessly blocks by spinning her spear to form a shield)

Courtney: Huh, they're really good.

Bishop: Indeed, but they're just defending. (both women get startled to see Bishop pop up out nowhere, already sat at Courtney's other side)

Courtney: (startled) Whoa!

Anastasia: (surprised) Where did you come from?

Bishop: (ignoring them) Let's see them try their hands at offense. (turns on the intercom) Okay you two, we'd like to see how you do on the offensive.

Lazarus: Offensive huh?

Lazarus crosses his arms over his chest, then swings them out, throwing tiny particles of purple energy that grow and materialize into large spinning shuriken. The blades slash and cut through the horde, injuring as many inmates as possible on their way through. Guinevere rushes toward several inmates. She seems to speed up as she effortlessly cuts through each of them with ease in literally mere seconds. She lunges for another one and slashes him down the middle, one scratches her arm with his claws but twirls her spear and whacks him on the side of his head with the butt of the rod.

Guinevere: … (winces in a bit of pain due to her injury; five inmates leap at Lazarus all at once, he suspends them in the air and raises two fingers to the side of his temple, focusing his power)

Lazarus: "MIND RAPE". (he releases a power telepathic attack that makes the inmates all grab their head and scream in extreme pain, curling up into balls; he releases them and they fall back down to the floor, groaning in pain)

Bishop: Interesting. (the two continue to fight well against their opponents until Guinevere, distracted for few seconds by her injury, doesn't notice a powered-up punch coming until too late; she takes it to the face and is sent flying into Lazarus, knocking him from his concentration)

Lazarus: (surprised and annoyed) What the…? (this momentary distraction of his own earns them both a perfect shot on the receiving end of an energy beam, launching them into a wall)

Lazarus: Ugh! … (glares at them angrily; Guinevere groans as she struggles to get back up; she looks around for her spear but finds it too far out of reach, past an already formed horde of inmates)

Guinevere: Damn. (turns to Lazarus) Hey, Experiment, can you get my spear?

Lazarus: Don't call me Experiment.

Guinevere: Yeah, yeah. Can you get my spear or not?

Lazarus: (surprised) What?

Guinevere: I need my spear to fight, but it's too far away for me to get it. must've dropped it when I got hit. Get it for m--

She doesn't get to finish the sentence when an inmate launches in and delivers a powerful, powered-up kick to her face, knocking her out. Lazarus just stares on in shock at the sudden action, unfortunately his comes immediately after however, as she spins mid-air and delivers another kick, this time to him. He barely reacts in time to raise and cross his arms to defend himself and is launched back from the impact. He gets back up to see himself and an unconscious Guinevere surrounded by very malicious faces that could very clearly show that being children wasn't gonna save them from this.

Anastasia: (turns to Courtney) End session.

Courtney: O--

Bishop: (calmly) No.

Anastasia: (shocked) What?!

Bishop: Do not end the session just yet. Let's see how he handles this.

Anastasia: (angry) He can't handle it. He's not ready, neither of them are.

Bishop: And neither will be if you don't let them try.

Anastasia: …

Lazarus begins to panic as the inmates surround them, he racks his brain, not knowing what to do for an answer but finds nothing. Suddenly, he hears a familiar voice in his head; his own.

Laz: (mental voice) Don't panic.

Lazarus: (confused) What?

Laz: Don't panic mate. You can do this.

Lazarus: What's going--? (shuts his eyes and sits a vision of his old self smiling calmly at him)

Laz: Come on. Don't tell some small-time criminals are too much for you. You can beat them. You know how to.

The image of his wooden blade then appears in his head, giving him an idea. He gets back up, his initial expressions of panic then confusion not both replaced with one of determination.

Bishop: (intrigued) Hmmmm. Seems the show really isn't over yet.

Lazarus extends his right arm sideways and summons a metal bat designed like a Japanese bokken. He then points it to the inmates and lunges at them, he leaps over to one and whacks him on the side of his head while extending a foot to faceplant it on another. Landing, he hops back and raises his sword to bring it down one another's head, then twirls to smack one on the side of her throat. He parries the fist of one with his sword and jabs him hard in the gut with it. Everyone in the control is left speechless seeing this.

Bishop: Well, this is interesting.

Anastasia: That kid is really is strong.

Lazarus takes a moment to rest, breathing heavily. A faint, light-purple glow envelopes his body, healing all his injuries. He then turns to Guinevere and waves his hand over her, her body glowing for few seconds as well, healing her own injuries. Afterwards, he turns back to the remaining inmates, most of whom are beginning to grow weary of the boy. He leans forward and sprints towards them, another purple glow around his body, this one from his telekinesis, increasing his speed. He swings his sword wildly, striking inmate after inmate in rapid succession, one-shotting all of them. At this point, Guinevere finally regains consciousness, waking up in surprised to see Lazarus and what he's done. Lazarus lunges towards on group, positioning his sword for a stab, he thrusts forward, picking up airflow that spins around the cylindrical blade as it moved.

Lazarus: "PROJECTILE STAB".

He stabs the air in front of him, launching a projectile airwave that rockets towards the group that explodes in an air burst on impact, sending them flying in every direction. Not waiting for the others to react or prepare, he swings his bokken around, releasing another airwave that send them flying and crashing hard into a nearby wall. He turns to the last one, a bald-headed man with pink eyes and pale skin. The two lunge at eachother, Lazarus leaps into the air, raising his bokken high above his head and descends it down hard on the man's head, using his telekinesis to increase his striking speed and strength. The man collapses to the floor instantly.

The onlookers all stare in amazement and surprise, unable to believe what they saw.

Anastasia: (a bead of sweat dropping down the side of her face) Wow.

Courtney: (a bit intimidated) Incredible.

Guinevere: (shocked) … (unlike the others, Bishop isn't impressed; rather, he feels a completely different emotion)

Bishop: Hmmm. Fascinating. (Lazarus turns to Guinevere, then to her spear, he walks over to the tool and picks it up before making his way to her; unfortunately, the fight isn't over yet)

Guinevere: (baffled) H-How? …! (she suddenly notices something behind him) Look out!

Lazarus turns around and raises the weapons to his chest in time to block a large metal fist from colliding with it. Both weapons bend oddly as he gets launched back but manages stop himself by dropping the broken weapons and sliding on his hands and feet across the floor. He heals himself, then stands back up, glaring at the enraged baldy, now a large metal golem.

Lazarus: …

Bishop: Looks like Rolland's finally snapped.

The large, chrome, iron giant, 3X Lazarus' size, sprints towards him, his every step shaking the room with a stomp. Lazarus summons a sledge hammer and charges towards him as well. Lazarus leaps into the air, raising the hammer sideways for a swing, but Rolland raises his hand to block it, then grabs Lazarus's leg, and begins swinging him around. He slams Lazarus onto the hard, metal floor, repeatedly, then throwing him into a wall.

Rolland: I'm gonna take great pleasure in killing you.

Anastasia: (concerned) Alright, we've seen enough. End this.

Bishop: (still as eerily calm as ever) No, not yet.

Anastasia: (shocked) What?! Are you crazy?!

Bishop: (calmly) Just…watch. (Lazarus gets back up again, trying to steady himself; beads of nervous sweat drop down his face as Rolland stomps forward towards him)

Lazarus: (panicking) …

Laz: (mental voice) Relax, don't panic. Just take a deep breath and concentrate. (Lazarus does so) This guy's clearly trying to kill you, so…what do you say to that?

Lazarus: I say…

He crouches into a sprint-ready pose, his right hand outstretched sideways, a blade of fire forming from his palm. He glares at his opponent and bolts forward, leaping into the air towards the equally advancing golem, and in one swift motion, a single swing of his hand, Rolland's head is cloven clean off his neck. It flies right off his shoulders and lands one direction while his body lands another, he's dead before he realizes he's been hit. The metal body turns back to regular skin and flesh as Lazarus lands in his own direction. To say that everyone witnessing was shocked was an understatement, they were utterly dumbfounded. Even Bishop seems to lose his voice. Lazarus stands erect and looks up at the one-way glass window at the top edge of the room that led to the control room. Despite it being one-way he could still see it and through no problem thanks to his skills. He touches two fingers to his temple and speaks.

Lazarus: (telepathically) End of training session, NOW. (they all turn to Bishop, who finally relents)

Bishop: Very well.

SCENE: Recover Room. Later.

Lazarus and Guinevere rest in their beds as they get treated by the medical team, not that they need much of it.

Medical Worker: Huh, it seems your injuries have already mostly healed, there's not much work here to be done. We'll just patch up what needs to be and you'll be fine in a few hours. (they leave just as bishop enters the room)

Bishop: Quite an impressive feat Lazarus. Tell me, how did you think to use a bokken to fight, and how did using one suddenly make the fight easier.

Lazarus: (hesitates for a minute by answering) It just…came to me.

Bishop: It just…came to you?

Lazarus: Yes. The idea just popped inside my head. I don't know why, but it did. I also don't know how it suddenly made fighting easier.

Bishop: Okay, but then…why did you kill Rolland?

Lazarus: Why else? He was trying to kill me, so he had to die.

Bishop: But couldn't you have won another way?

Lazarus: Yes. If come at me with the intent to kill, then you will die by my hand.

Bishop: I see. (turns to leave) Well, I'll be going now. Oh and…once again, good job.

Bishop leaves, Lazarus lies down unto the bed to get some sleep while Guinevere – who had watched the entire exchange – just stares at them with an unhappy look on her face. Meanwhile, outside the building, nobody notices as a machine being aimed at the building until…

GLEAM…

A wave of energy washes over the entire building, everyone inside feels it, but only few know what it is.

Bishop: You cannot be serious.

Outside the building, well hidden in the forest beside it, the Gold and Silver brothers grin evilly as they prepare to destroy the entire building, an army of foot soldiers behind them.

The scene fades to black as the CHAPTER ends.
