Chapter 451: The Birth of Kanna
Among those aboard the Star Ark, aside from the younger generation, several senior powerhouses were also present. Their role was to protect these seedlings and guide their growth. That was why Sun Zhongjing and Neptune had joined the Star Ark rather than perishing with Douluo Star during the Abyss invasion. They had a more important duty ensuring the survival of their civilization.
Now, after 700 years of space travel, the old generation had grown even stronger, while the once young talents had matured into formidable warriors. If the Star Ark had been larger, and if its energy reserves had been unlimited, there would have been even more powerhouses. But space was finite, and energy was limited, so they had no choice but to seek a new planet to settle on.
The Star Ark was a self sustaining world, but it lacked growth potential its space would never expand.
A primitive life bearing planet, however, was different. It had endless possibilities for development.
That was why they had been so desperate to find a new home only by settling on a real planet could the Douluo civilization thrive again.
Perhaps one day, they could grow strong enough to counterattack the Abyss.
With that hope in their hearts, the Star Ark descended into a new star system and began a large scale transformation of the region.
The first target the life bearing planet overrun with giant beasts.
The strongest god level beings went all out, purging and reshaping the world.
With Douluo's most advanced knowledge and a complete ecosystem stored aboard the Ark, terraforming this planet was surprisingly easy.
Within just a few years, the once primitive world had fully transformed now bearing the Douluo name.
The giant beasts that once dominated the planet? Over 90% had been wiped out.
The remaining few were driven into desolate lands, no longer a threat.
With the land now secured, humans and soul beasts officially began rebuilding their civilization.
They divided the planet equally.
Although the strongest soul beast, Di Tian, was only half step God King, while the human side had Sun Zhongjing and Neptune as full fledged God Kings, the soul beast contract system had already blurred the lines between humans and soul beasts.
Many contracted soul masters had reached divine ranks, and after centuries of coexistence, the two sides had become one.
Thus, without any resistance, soul beasts secured half of the planet a sanctuary for their race.
With ample space and no restrictions, both humans and soul beasts began a population explosion.
For centuries, the Star Ark had imposed strict birth controls due to limited resources.
But now? All restrictions were lifted.
And so they went wild.
The result?
After just a few more centuries, the human and soul beast populations increased tenfold.
The once sparsely populated planet had become lively and prosperous.
The live chat was filled with awe and emotion as they watched centuries of civilization unfold in mere minutes.
[Crossing the stars… This is incredible.]
[The future of Douluo is beyond anything I ever imagined.]
[Watching an unfamiliar planet slowly transform into our home… I don't know why, but I feel so moved.]
[Yeah… Maybe this is what legacy means.]
Some mocked the survivors, calling them "homeless dogs", but most viewers felt a deep connection to their rebuilding efforts.
The scene shifted showing the soul beast territory.
Unlike the humanoid soul beasts, most beast shaped soul beasts preferred to remain in their natural forms.
Thus, their dwellings were primarily mountain caves and dense forests.
In one vast cavern, an ancient altar like structure was absorbing the planet's energy channeling it into the center.
At the altar's heart lay a massive dragon egg, covered in intricate silver patterns.
Originally, the egg did not have these markings.
However, after centuries of absorbing cosmic energy, it had undergone a mysterious transformation.
Di Tian had no idea whether this change was good or bad.
All he could do was pray for the young soul beast ruler's safe birth.
This dragon egg, after nearly two thousand years of nurturing, was finally ready to hatch.
The future leader of the soul beasts was about to be born.
No longer would their kind be overshadowed by humans.
Led by Di Tian, all high ranking soul beasts gathered inside the cavern, their eyes fixed on the towering egg watching with hope and anticipation.
Suddenly
Crack!
A fracture appeared on the egg's surface.
Then
It began to spread, webbing across the entire shell like cracked crystal.
The gigantic egg looked as if it was about to shatter completely.
Moments later
A blinding white light seeped through the cracks.
Then
BOOM!!!
The entire mountain collapsed.
The shockwave sent Di Tian and the divine soul beasts flying they crashed for miles before finally stopping.
If they weren't so tough, they would have been blown to pieces.
A gentle, silver white radiance spread across the entire planet.
The sky turned from day to a moonlit night.
Unlike the fierce heat of the sun, this moonlight like energy was soft, warm, and nourishing a silent blessing upon all life.
At the heart of this divine glow, a massive white dragon slowly emerged.
The viewers were shocked.
Even though this newborn dragon was already gigantic, its soft white fur revealed that it was still an infant.
It hadn't even grown scales yet.
And yet
It was already over ten thousand meters long.
One could only imagine how terrifyingly massive it would become when fully grown.
Its sky blue eyes held both innocence and nobility.
Despite its youth, it radiated an innate sense of majesty.
Bathed in the silver glow, it exuded a divine presence
A presence so overwhelming that even the most powerful soul beasts felt an instinctual urge to kneel.
