Chapter 393 - Chapter 393: Revenge? Which One First?

Chapter 393: Revenge? Which One First?

If Han Li was having the time of his life like a roaming gunner with an infinite kill spree, then Bibi Dong was suffering like never before.

Disgusting. Absolutely disgusting!

She finally understood why Tang Hao and Tang Xiao had gritted their teeth in hatred against Han Li back in Spirit City. Every one of his attacks wasn't particularly strong, but they were infuriating beyond belief.

Yu Xiaogang was too fragile. Even in rescuing him, Bibi Dong couldn't use excessive force but Han Li had seized on this fact, constantly ruining her attempts at retrieval.

The same went for the Rakshasa Scythe. Every time she tried to launch a direct attack, arrows with erratic trajectories would veer toward Yu Xiaogang, forcing her to hold back.

And the most infuriating part? Those fragile, deliberately weak arrows that shattered on contact clearly meant just to irritate her. Yet she couldn't afford to ignore them. She didn't believe Han Li wouldn't actually kill Yu Xiaogang.

Worst of all, behind her was Qian Renxue, continuously attacking her Rakshasa Prison. Bibi Dong could clearly sense that it wouldn't hold much longer Qian Renxue could break free at any moment.

Faced with this situation, the mental clarity she had briefly regained was beginning to crumble again. And yet, no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't draw a single ounce of negativity from Han Li. According to her senses, he bore her no malice.

That was the most ridiculous part.

Fortunately, after ascending to the Rakshasa God, her speed had improved tremendously. Just before the poison reached Yu Xiaogang's heart, she finally managed to reach his side, dodging Han Li's relentless rain of arrows.

Scooping him up in her arms, she quickly shifted into her Death Spider Emperor state, carefully extracting the poison from his body.

Her divine power was still in a berserk state, and her attributes weren't suited for healing. Unlike Han Li, she couldn't delicately control the poison's spread. Fortunately, this was her poison, and Han Li had deliberately weakened it to prevent Yu Xiaogang from dying too quickly, leaving only a trace.

Even so, that trace alone had pushed him to the brink of death.

Meanwhile, Han Li was having a grand time playing with the Rakshasa Scythe openly holding back his attacks just so Bibi Dong could focus on treating Yu Xiaogang.

Well, to be honest… he was eyeing that divine weapon.

The Rakshasa Scythe had a great aesthetic at least far better than the Sea God Trident in his opinion. And as luck would have it, he was just in need of a divine weapon.

It was fate.

According to the reports from his companions:

 Ye LingLing had the Trident.

Xiu'er supposedly had two hammers (not Zhou Weiqing's hammers, fictional for plot purposes).

Dugu Yan and Shui Bing'er, as they described it, had received no blades from Rong Nianbing. However, he had embedded divine materials into their Flame Plume Wings and Frost Crown, allowing them to nurture divine weapons upon ascension. Though they would start as the weakest type, they could be upgraded over time. A generous move, indeed.

The only one left empty handed was Zhu Zhuqing.

The Dark God had left her with no divine weapon inheritance because, well, the Dark God was broke.

But wasn't this the perfect opportunity?

After being influenced by the Evil God Pearl, Zhu Zhuqing's martial spirit had mutated, now carrying both darkness and evil attributes. While the Rakshasa Scythe wasn't a perfect match, it could be reforged after accepting her inheritance.

Divine weapons were shaped primarily by postnatal nurturing. Take it first, refine it later. Bibi Dong had already surrendered the Rakshasa God position so the scythe no longer belonged to her. It was a trophy of war.

Besides, wasn't the combination of a loli faced Zhu Zhuqing wielding a massive scythe exactly the kind of classic character pairing that everyone loved?

As for Bibi Dong someone with such a dominant queenly aura wouldn't a whip be more fitting?

She was about to die anyway.

Han Li wasn't one to gloat, but he was very willing to help her find a more suitable weapon wielder. No need to thank him what a considerate guy.

More importantly, Han Li wasn't the main character of this battle. He had no problem holding back though that didn't mean he was doing nothing. He was simply waiting for the right moment.

Yu Xiaogang's life force was… disturbingly resilient.

Whether judging by past events or the fact that he had survived up to this point, it was clear that this man simply refused to die.

Finally, after painstakingly extracting the last trace of poison from his body, Bibi Dong let out a breath of relief.

But of course, fate was never on her side.

Just as she gathered Yu Xiaogang in her arms, preparing to flee, Qian Renxue broke free.

At the same time, Han Li suddenly ramped up his attacks not to kill her, but to prevent her from retrieving the Rakshasa Scythe.

Bibi Dong refused to give up the weapon.

Even with the scythe, she struggled against Qian Renxue. Without it, she had no chance at all.

Cradling Yu Xiaogang in one arm, she quickly condensed Rakshasa divine power in her free hand, sweeping out a dark purple energy slash toward Han Li.

A standard post ascension divine attack direct, forceful.

Despite being in a berserk state, it was still a rather basic move. The attack looked powerful, but Han Li had been faking his performance from the very beginning. Did she really think she could push him back so easily?

Bibi Dong froze.

She suddenly realized Han Li had gotten stronger.

Much stronger.

She wasn't stupid. If she hadn't realized the truth by now, she would have no right to be a former Supreme Pontiff.

As soon as she figured it out, she sent the Rakshasa Scythe spinning toward Han Li in a desperate new offensive then turned and ran.

But life never goes as planned.

The moment Qian Renxue broke free nothing was stopping her anymore.

Despite everything that had happened, in reality, only thirty seconds had passed since Bibi Dong rushed over to save Yu Xiaogang.

With no one blocking her path, the Angel God who naturally had wings was far faster than most deities in flight.

Simply put, Qian Renxue became light itself, and in the brief moment that Bibi Dong hesitated over whether to reclaim her divine weapon, Qian Renxue had already cut off her escape route.

Bibi Dong's expression was as dark as water.

She glanced at Qian Renxue, who was wielding the Angelic Sacred Sword, then turned her gaze toward Han Li just in time to see him cheerfully gripping the Rakshasa Scythe in his hand.

Divine weapons had spirits, and the scythe trembled violently, continuously resisting. But no matter how she summoned it, it refused to break free.

That alone told Bibi Dong that she had lost.

Han Li's strength, at the very least, was on par with hers yet there wasn't a trace of divine aura on him.

"You can't escape."

Qian Renxue's Angelic Sacred Sword radiated golden light, its tip aimed at Bibi Dong, announcing her inevitable defeat.

"I haven't lost yet. If I wanted to, I could take one of you down with me."

Bibi Dong suddenly smiled, a trace of madness flashing in her eyes. She had endured for so many years, had finally become a god yet she had accomplished nothing she truly desired.

The person she hated most, Qian Daoliu, hadn't even shown up on the battlefield.

"Oh? Then go ahead and self destruct."

Qian RenSnow Empressdn't even acknowledge the threat. She simply raised her sword and charged straight at her.

A moment ago, Bibi Dong had been willing to risk everything to save Yu Xiaogang. And now, with him in her arms, did she really dare to go through with it?

More importantly, Qian Renxue knew Han Li wouldn't allow it. A divine self destruction would damage his planet. There was no way he, of all people, would tolerate that.

So she didn't hesitate. She activated Holy Light's Radiance, dimming the sun momentarily before golden rays descended from the sky. The crimson gold hue of her divine armor and sword shifted into pure gold, flowing like liquid light.

"Strike while the enemy is down."

That was the first lesson Han Li had taught her.

She would not allow her grandfather to face any further threats.

"Qian Renxue… You… You're truly something, aren't you?"

Bibi Dong was on the verge of losing her mind. She swung her left hand, condensing Rakshasa energy into sharp blades to block Qian Renxue's strikes while gradually retreating.

She noticed that Han Li wasn't attacking her on the contrary, he had stopped entirely and was watching with interest. Qian Renxue, too, showed no reaction, meaning this was intentional.

Bibi Dong didn't like Qian Renxue, but she understood her. This was most likely due to her daughter's pride she wanted to defeat Bibi Dong alone.

But that also meant… an opportunity.

She might not be able to escape today, but that didn't mean she couldn't do anything.

She subtly tightened her grip around Yu Xiaogang, then sent out several more slashes of Rakshasa energy. Suddenly, she veered to the side, switched to her martial soul state, and split into two.

Unlike before, this time she left the clone behind to block Qian Renxue while her real body charged at Han Li.

At the same time, she unleashed a massive wave of divine energy, releasing spiderwebs enhanced by Rakshasa power.

Above her, the phantom of the Spider Emperor manifested, its grotesque legs flashing with eerie green light.

This was the hidden trump card she had never used before.

It was called Eternal Wound.

Its effect: absolute physical defense nullification, energy defense reduced by 50%. Once struck, the wound would continuously spread, and the only way to resist it was through soul power until it was completely drained.

After ascending to godhood, its attack method had become more discreet, and its effects had changed slightly. While the lethal potential wasn't as devastating against mortals, it could now damage divine bodies and divine souls.

Against Qian Renxue, she wouldn't use it.

But against Han Li? She had no reservations.

If he tried to tank this attack head on, he wouldn't die but he would be gravely injured.

And that was all she needed.

Unless Qian Renxue was willing to abandon him, which was highly unlikely.

Once she escaped, she would head straight for the Slaughter City, draining it dry. After that, she would no longer fear Qian Renxue.

In the end, victory would still be hers.

As the distance between her and Han Li rapidly closed, Bibi Dong's lips curled into a triumphant smirk.

Sure enough, Han Li didn't run.

He remained where he was, activating the same domain from before burning away the incoming spiderwebs preparing for a direct confrontation.

Bibi Dong's confidence surged.

This was the arrogance of young prodigies. She had been the same once.

Now, it was time to teach them a lesson.

She poured even more divine energy into her attack.

And then, she sensed it

Yu Xiaogang, whom she had been holding in her right arm, suddenly woke up.

His hatred surged forth, feeding her Rakshasa Domain, converting into divine power.

"One person's hatred is worth ten."

That counted as reasonable enemy farming, right?

Bibi Dong found the thought oddly sweet.

She recalled that Yu Xiaogang also despised Han Li.

His only disciple had died at Han Li's hands.

Han Li had humiliated him through martial techniques, stepping on his name to rise to prominence.

They had a common enemy.

"Xiaogang, let's avenge your disciple first."

That's what she said.

"Yes… Revenge."

To her surprise, Yu Xiaogang actually responded.

His sleeve fell slightly, revealing a glinting object in his hand…
