Chapter 126 - Chapter 126: Mondstadt

Early the next morning, a shy and flustered Eula Lawrence got up, preparing to leave Mondstadt to continue her mission of clearing out Hilichurl camps.

In the past, whenever she left the city, all she thought about was doing more for Mondstadt—earning the recognition of its people.

But now... all she wanted was to finish her mission quickly and return to Kael's side.

Even though members of the Lawrence clan still lived in Mondstadt, she'd always felt like a rootless wanderer.

But now, finally, she had found a place where she belonged.

Woken by Eula's movements, Kael decided to head out beyond the city as well.

His Meat Stall had been closed for several days already. If he didn't reopen soon, once the Traveler's popularity faded, he could kiss his business goodbye.

Today he had to make it quick—bring back some Wild Boar and restock.

The two of them walked together to the city gates.

Eula gazed at him reluctantly. "I have to carry out my mission. It might be a while before I can return to Mondstadt..."

"Mm. Be careful out there, don't push yourself too hard. If you find a large Hilichurl camp, don't force it—know your limits. And if you run into trouble, come find me. You know where to reach me."

"Alright."

Eula leaned in and pressed a kiss to his lips.

Her face immediately flushed pink, her usual cold expression softening into that of a bashful girl.

After last night, she carried a charm she'd never shown before.

"Then I'll go."

After she left, Kael pulled up his map, searching for Wild Boar nearby.

Since he was hunting solo today, he decided to make full use of the map's features and head a little farther from Mondstadt.

You couldn't just keep harvesting the same spot forever.

If he kept circling Mondstadt every day, the Wild Boar population here would go extinct in no time.

Besides, he couldn't be selfish—he had to leave prey for the Hunters of Springvale too. If he killed them all, what would they eat?

He scanned the map for Wild Boar icons and found several large herds near the snowy mountain.

Clicking a teleport waypoint on the map, in the blink of an eye, he was at the mountain's base.

Just like before, he tapped the Wild Boar icon and followed the given route, easily locating the herd.

He unleashed his Elemental Skill and swiftly wiped out three massive groups of Wild Boar in the snowy area.

A total of 64 Wild Boar.

That earned him 1,280 Attribute Points, and adding yesterday's 360, he now had 1,640 Attribute Points in total.

Still far too little.

After his previous life simulations, Kael knew these points weren't anywhere near enough.

Forget leveling up—just running Sensory Mode in the simulations drained a massive amount.

Aside from hunting Wild Boar and taking Adventurers' Guild commissions, he needed to find another way to rack up more Attribute Points.

Maybe after this latest System upgrade, there'd be new functions to solve the problem.

As always, he stored the slain Wild Boar in the Serenitea Pot.

This time, he divided them into two piles.

One pile held only 8 boars.

The other—56.

"Little Gold."

Too lazy to brainstorm names, Kael simply gave the little dragon a name that fit its golden appearance best.

"These 8 are for me. If you get hungry, you can eat the rest."

Little Gold flicked its tail in response, as if to say it understood.

Relieved, Kael withdrew his consciousness from the Serenitea Pot.

After yesterday's interaction, he knew the little dragon was intelligent—it understood him perfectly.

Honestly, the System's S-rank reward couldn't have come at a better time.

One big reason he'd opened the Meat Stall was because he needed Attribute Points fast, and he hated wasting all that Wild Boar meat.

But now, with Little Gold, the waste problem was perfectly solved.

After finishing today's Wild Boar hunt, Kael teleported back to a waypoint near Mondstadt, then ran back into the city.

He took out the boars he'd set aside for business, cleaned them thoroughly, and carried them upstairs.

The sky was only just beginning to lighten.

Xiangling and Guoba were still snoring away in the living room.

Mona Megistus's door was tightly shut.

Kael knocked.

"Time to get up."

He waited patiently for a while. No response.

He knocked louder.

"Mona, get up—it's time to work!"

"Mona..."

Just as he raised his hand to knock again, the door suddenly flew open.

Mona stood there, hair a tangled mess, glaring at him with bleary, half-asleep eyes, her expression full of irritation.
