Luke rushed to the unconscious boy's side, shaking him as he tried to wake him up.
The round-glasses teen did not wake, he was out cold.
Luke's brows furrowed, teeth gritted in rage.
"I always ignored you, maybe you would let me be but no..." He rose to his feet, his gaze bloodshot.
"I do not need your pity... and I do not know when I acted as if I did..." Luke spoke with seething rage, his voice low yet as loud as a lion's roar.
"Oh, so that is how you saw it..." Arthur brushed his hand through his hair, Luke's words sinking in.
His carefree expression slowly dissolved, eyes narrowed, the air around him seemingly changing.
"Well at first it was not pity, but after seeing you change... well, who would not feel pity for you..." Arthur stepped forward, his head slightly tilted, his emerald eyes glowing subtly like green flames. "... How could you close yourself to the world because of that... like a coward."
"That?!" Luke froze, his eyes narrowed.
"You are calling the death of my father that..." Luke's expression returned to that of nothingness.
Arthur noticed his blunder, he did not really mean to say it that way but it seemed his old habits had kicked in.
"I did not mean..." His words were caught in his throat as he felt a punch to his stomach, one so great he buckled under the pain.
He knelt, clutching his stomach in agony, face twisted in pain. He raised his head, emerald eyes meeting an expressionless hazel.
"Hahaha..." Arthur smiled through his pained expression. "You still have it in you." He rose to his feet, his expression easing up.
Blue lightning streaked underneath his skin, numbing the pain in his abdomen, his ability activated.
"I might have been wrong to say that about your father's death, but I am not wrong for saying you closed yourself to the world..." Arthur said, his expression serious.
"Your father would not..." He paused noticing Luke attack.
"I am not that twelve-year-old boy anymore, you know..." Arthur caught a punch from Luke, his neuro flux ability allowing him to perceive the attack before it landed.
"Argh." He let out a muffled cry as Luke's knee met his side.
"Time out, man, I am not trying to start a fight, you know..." He stepped back, his hands raised in surrender.
Luke did not care for his words as he dashed forward, poised for a roundhouse kick. He swung his leg, but to his dismay the expected impact did not occur.
It felt as if he had hit a wall.
"Argh." Luke let out a muffled cry as his leg stung, it really felt as if he had hit a wall.
He limped back, pupils dilating as he noticed Arthur standing there unscathed, his muscles tensed, veins bulging from the contraction.
"Did you forget I am a Starborn... my ability is neuro?... neuro?... neuro something... I can fully control my electric impulses, you know..."
Arthur paused in his explanation as he noticed Luke attack again with a sweeping kick, he falling to the ground.
"Hey, let me talk..."
Luke did not give him time to speak. He was angry, much more than he had ever been in his life, and this guy had brought himself up for venting.
Luke quickly slammed into his chest with his knee, an attack that would have collapsed the sternum of most.
Arthur's muscles absorbed the attack, he feeling a numb sensation at the point of impact.
"Lights, I do not want to attack you, stop..." Arthur cried out as he rolled to the side, avoiding another knee attack from Luke.
Luke, though a bit frenzied in his rage, was aware that normal attacks would not work, so he needed to use his knees and elbows as they provided more powerful force.
He bombarded Arthur with attack after attack, Arthur only defending, afraid to strike as a Starborn might be deadly to Luke.
He was not sure what Luke's ability was, and considering he had not shown anything yet, he was sure Luke was not a physical augmentor.
"Hey man, ok, I am sorry, let it go..." Arthur said as he blocked an uppercut with his palm, only for another attack to hit his side.
"HEY!" Arthur roared in frustration, the continuous attack was irritating.
His voice reverberated through the hall like thunder, the girl with black hair abruptly rising to her feet, disturbed by the noise.
"SHUT UP!" She roared, a shockwave bursting from her form, so strong it pushed the two boys back several metres, even the unconscious boy gliding on the smooth polished floor.
"... " Her reddened gaze swept through the auditorium, Luke and Arthur rising to their feet, each looking at her in horror.
"Do not look at me like that, I am not a monster!..." She cried out, another burst of shockwave erupting from her body.
This time the two expected it as they stood their ground, though the force still pushed them back.
The only chairs in the whole auditorium, the four chairs they sat on, began to levitate off the ground.
"Do not look at me..." The girl thundered, her voice a mixture of fear, sadness, and rage, to the onlookers madness.
The chairs paused mid-air, their legs pointing towards Arthur and Luke, both far apart from each other yet they were both targeted.
"What the..."
Before they could finish the thought, with tremendous speed the chairs cut through the air like bullets and then...
They fell to the ground, crashing into the floor a few centimeters from their faces.
Spiderweb cracks formed on the polished floor as if the chairs weighed a ton.
"You all failed..." A voice thundered in the auditorium.
The three all felt their bodies become heavy, they fell to the ground under that weight.
Arthur tried to raise his body, increasing his strength to the max, but it was for naught as he felt his internal organs being crushed.
Luke, who was just human, lay on his stomach, his cheek slammed on the floor, his gaze on the lean figure who levitated a few metres above them.
A young teenage boy dressed in black tactical military attire, the insignia of the Starborns on his chest.
The guy faced towards the crazy girl who had almost killed them, and thus he could not see his face, but his striking purple hair caught his eyes.
The girl stood her ground, holding her body up, teeth gritted as she glared at the Starborn levitating above her.
"Fall." The purple-haired boy's voice thundered, the girl unable to handle the invisible weight pressing on her as she fell to her knees.
The sudden impact knocked her unconscious, Luke's eyes widening as a thought crossed his mind.
"Gravity."
