Kai's palm slammed down.
REPULSION.
The force didn't just fill the training ground—it crushed it.
The earth screamed. What had been bouncy and swollen under Kuma's domain now collapsed—compacting down, down, down until the entire surface had sunk several meters.
All of Marineford shuddered.
The ground became seastone-hard. Compressed so tight that nothing could bounce anymore.
So much for Hundred-Fold Repulsion.
"Rinnegan: Repulsive Space."
Kai kept the force localized—pressed it into the ground itself. If he'd applied this pressure to the Marines directly, there wouldn't be survivors.
But Kuma?
Kuma got the full weight.
WHAM
Those stick-thin legs couldn't support him. Not against force multiplied hundreds—thousands—of times over. His massive body slammed into the compacted earth.
He couldn't even twitch a finger.
"What..." Kuma's voice came out strangled. He managed to turn his head just enough to see Kai. "...what is this power?"
Kai didn't explain.
"Give me your answer." His tone was flat. Final. "Submit or die."
No third option.
Honestly? Kai's interest in this fight had evaporated. The Warlord-level couldn't even make him try anymore. He just wanted this tedious demonstration over with.
"I... I choose..."
Kuma hesitated. The conflict played across his face—clear as day.
Kai could read it easily enough.
"I won't interfere with your identity," he said. "Won't restrict your movements. But when I give you a mission?" His eyes went cold. "You complete it. On time. Precisely."
Killing Kuma would be wasteful. Someone at his level had uses.
But this was Kai's final offer. If Kuma refused?
Kotoamatsukami it is.
"I... I agree!"
The words burst out of Kuma like he'd been holding his breath.
Because facing Kai, he couldn't see any path to victory. Couldn't even gauge how deep Kai's power went.
"There we go." Kai's shoulders relaxed. "Simple."
He turned to address the other Warlords.
"Effective immediately, the 'Seven Warlords of the Sea' are now the 'Marine Seven Warlords.' You answer to me. World Government orders?" He waved dismissively. "Ignore them."
"Go back to whatever you were doing. Or stick around Headquarters if you want—you're Marines now, after all."
His gaze landed on Moria.
The Warlord flinched.
"I agree! Admiral White Dragon, sir!"
Was it really necessary?
Kai kept his expression neutral, but internally he was baffled.
Am I that scary?
He had no idea. To the Warlords, his name had become synonymous with demon. No—worse than demon. Something that made demons look tame.
Kai pointed at Doflamingo's unconscious form.
"Take him. Tell him how this ended." His voice dropped. "If he refuses to fall in line? The Marine Seven Warlords' first mission will be eliminating the Donquixote Family. Clear?"
"Crystal clear, Admiral White Dragon!" Moria didn't hesitate even half a second.
The conversation wasn't private.
Every Marine heard. Every Warlord heard.
Silence fell.
Then—
CHAOS.
"Did he just say—"
"The Warlords are Marines now?!"
"Under White Dragon's command?!"
"The World Government will never agree to this!"
"Are you stupid? Of course they won't agree! That's the point!"
Fleet Admiral's Office
Sengoku, Tsuru, and Garp had been watching the demonstration with growing shock at Kai's power.
Then they heard that.
All three faces went white.
Garp's donut froze halfway to his mouth.
They'd assumed Kai wanted to intimidate the Warlords. Make them behave. Keep them in line.
Not... recruit them.
"He's insane," Sengoku breathed.
The Seven Warlords weren't just powerful individuals. They were one of the Three Great Powers—balancing against the Marines and Four Emperors in a delicate equilibrium that kept the world from tearing itself apart.
And Kai had just absorbed them.
The World Government would explode. That was guaranteed.
But worse? Once this news hit the New World, every pirate with ambitions would see it as proof the balance had shattered.
Mass uprising. Guaranteed.
"GARP!" Sengoku's voice cracked like thunder. "Get Kai in here NOW!"
