Synopsis
I reincarnated into the brutal world of shinobi. To avoid becoming cannon fodder in the bloody Ninja Wars, I made the smartest choice possible: I became a Medical-nin. Stay in the backlines, heal some scrapes, and survive. That was the plan, anyway. Then, I awakened the [Miracle Savior System]. The rules were simple: Heal the injured, resurrect the dying, and farm god-tier rewards. Suddenly, the Shinobi world gained a terrifyingly "helpful" anomaly. Orochimaru: "Chiba, Nawaki's body is half-charred. His internal organs are fried. He is beyond saving." Me: "Stand back. I can fix him." 【Ding! Target Saved. Rewarded: Flawless Senju Bloodline (and Tsunade's eternal gratitude)!】 Anbu Operative: "Lord Sakumo's body has been cold for hours. It’s over... let's just collect his corpse." Me: "Did I say he was dead? Move." 【Ding! Target Saved. Rewarded: Supreme Physique (Eight Inner Gates Unlocked)!】 I didn't stop there. I became addicted to the loot. The closer they were to death, the sweeter the drops. But things got a little out of hand during the Fourth Great Ninja War... A Blood Moon hung in the sky. Madara Uchiha lay on the shattered battlefield, only half of his body remaining, his chakra completely drained. He was seconds away from turning to dust. The Allied Shinobi Forces: "Thank God! The nightmare is finally over! Madara is dying!" Me: (cracking knuckles) "Hold on, I can save him." The Entire Ninja World: "Are you out of your f*cking mind?! WHY WOULD YOU HEAL HIM?!" I didn't care about their screams. I only cared about the beautiful blue holographic screen flashing before my eyes: 【Ding! Target Saved. Rewarded: The Rinnegan & Six Paths Senjutsu!】 Years later, after emptying the System’s reward pool, I looked at my hands in confusion. Weren't the Otsutsuki supposed to be self-proclaimed Gods? Why couldn't they even survive a single slap from a humble Medical-nin like me? [Warning: The MC is extremely pragmatic. He doesn't save enemies out of kindness; he farms them for loot. Fast-paced, ruthless progression, and maximum face-slapping!]

--------------------

A pitch-black, rainy night.

A line of figures in Konoha flak jackets, white mourning bands on their arms, raced along a jagged mountain path.

"Seriously, why does a logistics guy from the medical corps have to go to the front lines? Does that make any sense?!"

A black-haired teenager, one hand gripping a medical kit, ran while complaining to the middle-aged man beside him.

"Enough, Qianyu!"

The man, thoroughly annoyed, half-turned with a glare. "You think I want to go? This is a direct order from the Third Hokage himself! Got a problem? Take it up with him!"

"…Oh."

The boy named Qianyu pouted sullenly and fell silent. He felt like the universe's biggest chump.

Truth was, he wasn't from this world.

In his past life, he'd been pulling an all-nighter studying for his medical licensing exam. Then—sudden darkness. When he woke up, he was "Qianyu," just like the man said.

Sigh. Encouraging someone to study medicine really does bring divine retribution.

Now, with a second chance at life, Qianyu had naturally… chosen to study medicine again!

What choice did he have? Other people transmigrated as Uzumakis or Uchihas, Hyūgas or Ōtsutsukis. He? A nobody civilian with no bloodline limit. Apart from possessing the same devilishly handsome looks as you, dear reader, he had no special talents. Becoming a medic-nin was his best shot at survival!

It took him two and a half years of grinding to finally become a proper medic-nin.

And his luck? Just in time for the raging Second Great Ninja War. Now he was being dragged to the actual battlefield!

BOOM! BOOM-BOOM-BOOM!

A series of deafening explosions shattered his thoughts.

Qianyu snapped his head forward. Thick, black smoke billowed ahead, pierced by flames licking the sky. The faint, distant clang of steel and shouts carried on the wind.

"A-Are we there…?"

Qianyu's face paled. His knuckles turned white. Fear, raw and cold, coiled in his gut. First time on a real battlefield, past life or present. Anyone who said they weren't scared was a liar.

"Don't worry, Qianyu."

The middle-aged man beside him stopped, placing a firm hand on Qianyu's shoulder. "Konoha's already established a defensive line ahead. We'll just be treating wounded within that perimeter. The real fighting's still far off."

Qianyu's face fell. He pointed at the nearby inferno. "Group Leader Nohara. Do you even believe that?"

Nohara Hiroshi's mouth twitched. His expression collapsed. "That's what command told me. What I believe doesn't matter."

They stared at each other in bleak silence.

Sigh…

Looking at Qianyu's youthful face, Hiroshi sighed inwardly. His squad this time had too many kids fresh out of the academy. How many would make it back? Damn this war.

"Alright. Keep moving."

Hiroshi hardened his heart, turned, and led the group onward.

The sounds of battle and the smoke ahead began to fade. But the smell—the coppery, cloying stench of blood—grew stronger. It invaded Qianyu's nostrils with every step.

It felt like walking into hell.

With his scrawny build, if they hit an ambush, he was 99% guaranteed to donate First Blood on the spot.

Am I going to die here?

Qianyu gritted his teeth. His legs felt like lead weights. His chest tightened, making it hard to breathe.

He wasn't ready!

To die from overwork in his past life was pathetic enough. Now, reborn into this world, he hadn't done anything yet! He refused to die a nameless death in some muddy ditch!

[DING! Current environment meets system activation criteria. Binding 'Saving Lives System'…]

[Binding failed…]

[In accordance with Protocol One: Proceed with forced installation, ignoring risks.]

A flat, electronic voice chimed in his mind.

Qianyu froze. Then, elation exploded in his chest.

System!

After a whole Kun Year, his transmigrator's golden finger had finally arrived!

But… 'Saving Lives System'? What the hell?

"System, what are your functions? Can you keep me alive on this battlefield?" Qianyu asked cautiously in his mind.

[DING! Host will receive feedback rewards for successfully treating injured personnel. Rewards include, but are not limited to: Kekkei Genkai, Kinjutsu, Ninjutsu, Attribute Points, etc.]

[The richness of the reward depends on the patient's innate talent, strength, and severity of injury.]

"I see… Save people, get rewards. The stronger the patient, the better the prize…"

Understanding dawned. Qianyu nodded, a sliver of calm returning. The system seemed a bit weak—not like those in other stories that handed out Mangekyō or Sage Bodies on day one—but something was better than nothing.

He finally had a bit of leverage in this chaotic world.

[DING! As a binding reward, host receives: All Medical Ninjutsu +10% effectiveness (Permanent), and one-time use of skill: Spring Touch!]

[Spring Touch: Using this skill guarantees the successful revival of one mortally wounded patient, and guarantees a high-quality reward!]

"A binding reward too!"

Qianyu's eyes lit up. He had a feeling. If he used this 'Spring Touch' right… it could be his ticket to the top.

Shame. If Hashirama Senju had died a few decades later, I'd have definitely tried to collect that reward… He thought wistfully.

A few minutes earlier, directly ahead of Qianyu's group.

In a dense, shadowy forest, a Konoha squad stood ready, weapons silently drawn.

A brown-haired boy stepped forward from the group. "Lord Orochimaru! Let me lead the team to take out those two Suna squads ahead!"

"Mmm." Their leader, Orochimaru, gave a slight nod, granting his student's request.

The boy was, of course, Nawaki. Grandson of Hashirama Senju. Konoha's premier nepo-baby.

"Alright!"

Nawaki shot forward, a blur leaping from the treeline. Several Konoha ninja followed close behind.

"You're becoming quite bold, Nawaki-kun."

Orochimaru watched his student's leading figure, a faint, approving smile touching his lips. He murmured words only he could hear. He'd only taken Nawaki on initially as a favor to Tsunade. But spending time with the boy, he'd gradually begun to…

"TRAP! Explosive tags!!"

The moment Nawaki's foot touched the ground again, an almost invisible wire snapped taut.

The other end was tied to a dense cluster of explosive tags.

A Suna ambush, detonated.

KABOOM!

The chain reaction was devastating. The blast instantly swallowed Nawaki's form. The shockwave hurled two Konoha ninja behind him through the air.

Clatter.

A crystal necklace landed at Orochimaru's feet.

He stared blankly ahead. For the first time, a strange, unnamed emotion seized his heart.

As the echoes of the blast faded, seven or eight Suna ninja sprang from hiding, charging the disoriented Konoha team with predatory grins.

"AMBUSH! AMBUSH!"

"Lord Orochimaru! What are your orders?!"

His subordinates' shouts came one after another. Orochimaru didn't seem to hear them.

Nawaki-kun… I promised Tsunade I'd look after you…

On the battlefield, a second's hesitation is an eternity. Without Orochimaru's command, the squad dissolved into chaos.

"I'll cover! You move the wounded!"

"Dammit! Everyone, with me! Wipe out these Suna scum!"

"Kill them all! For Nawaki!"

"Where the hell is the medical team?! Are they crawling here?! Why aren't they HERE YET?!"
