Zoey laughed out loud. "You can be really mean sometimes."
Leo raised his eyebrows. Although he was smirking, his gaze was as cold as ice.
Dorothy frowned. "Leo, how can you say that? You should respect the elderly."
Leo used to treat her with respect, but he changed his attitude toward her since he married Zoey.
"Old Mrs. Miller, you're from the Miller family, and I'm from the Yancey family."
What he meant was that he did not have the need to respect her because they were from different families.
Dorothy understood what he meant.
"You-" She was furious, but shifted her anger to Zoey. "Leo, did she gossip about the Millers in front of you?"
"Please watch what you're saying. You have no say over what my wife does."
Leo's face darkened with contempt, as though he might lash out if Dorothy continued insulting Zoey.
"Grandma, stop talking."
