Stacey touched her forehead and shook her head. "It's not that, Zoey. I just think that if the child followed such an evil woman, she would grow up to be a bad person as well. It would be better to put her in the hands of a good family."
"Don't be silly, Stacey. She still has a family and relatives. She can't be put up for adoption," Zoey said, amused.
However, she, too, started thinking of a suitable family to care for the child. After all, Mrs. Lynch did not deserve to be that child's grandmother. Stacey was a little disappointed, but she still nodded in understanding.
"If you really want the child to be adopted by another family, I will consider it." Zoey glanced at her.
"Really?" Stacey's eyes lit up.
Zoey nodded and stroked her head. "Stacey, I thought you would hate their entire family, including the child. I didn't expect you to be thinking about her future."
