The children played for a while and then quieted down. Andy climbed forward to reach Yvonne and asked, "Mommy, where are we going? Are we going to see grandma?"
A smile spread across Yvonne's face. "What a naughty boy. He has forgotten what I told him before," she thought.
As Andy's big brother, Daniel explained, "We are going to celebrate grandma's birthday."
"Birthday?" said Andy, his eyes widened with excitement. "Hooray! Birthday Birthday! I'm the birthday boy! You all have to listen to me!" he said cheerfully as he stood up on the seat. But soon Zachary urged him to sit down for safety concerns.
"Today is grandma's birthday, not yours. Grandma is the most important person today."
Andy shook his head in a very mature manner. He spoke to Daniel as if he was stating a fact, "I'm the most important birthday boy on every birthday, on my birthday, Jimmy's, and Tommy's! So I'm the most important one!"
