The Valkyries were already moving. Aria rose from her chair, silver eyes bright. Nyx stretched her arms above her head, a lazy smile on her lips. Luna kicked her chair back and was on her feet before anyone else.
"Stupid big brother!" Alice's voice hit like a thrown pillow. "Control yourself! Hmph! What are you, a wild beast? Hmph!"
Kaiden felt no need to deny. "It appears so. Your brother is a deeply faulty man, Alice."
"Hmph!!!!!!!!!!" The little sister didn't like that one.
Alexandra's face turned pink. She busied herself collecting empty plates and very carefully not making eye contact with anyone.
"Alice," she said quietly. "Would you help me with the dishes?"
