Watt nodded and held her a little tighter.
Summer Sutton snuggled into his embrace, her face against his chest, listening to his lively and powerful heartbeat, feeling much more at ease.
The two of them just hugged and slept through the night.
The next morning, as Watt opened the door to the room, he saw Sophie Walyon.
Sophie was standing outside the door, seemingly having slept well last night, looking refreshed.
"Morning, Brother Watt!" she greeted him with a smile, and then looked past him at Summer Sutton in the room.
"Morning, sis!" Without a clear view, Watt grabbed her and pushed her out of the room, "This is an adult's room, kids can't wander in! Out!"
His action was rough, pushing Sophie away from the doorstep to the stairs.
Sophie was particularly unimpressed by his behavior, touched her nose, and huffed, "It's not like I haven't walked in before, what's the big deal?"
She talked as if she was used to such things, which made Watt hesitate in his steps.
