Iris Harris was momentarily confused by his question, then softly replied, "I want to go home."
"Go home?" Brandan Hyde chuckled, "Really? I thought you were planning to throw yourself at me and, failing that, try someone else."
Iris lowered her head. Upon hearing Brandan's words, she felt a chill run through her body. Only then did she slowly raise her head to look at him.
The man's lips held a faint, mocking smile, making him appear especially cruel. Her heart tightened slightly from his words, a mist forming in her eyes. She whispered, "Is that what you think of me?"
"You've already come to the hotel planning to make a body transaction with me; do you still think you're so pure and chaste?"
"..." Iris wanted to say, that's only because it was you.
She did, in fact, harbor a bit of selfishness. Even if it was just under the name of a mistress, being by his side, seeing him for a little longer as her sight faded, was already a blessing.
