"She doesn't seem to like me," Iris Harris smiled bitterly.
"It's about competing interests, it has nothing to do with liking or disliking. You will inherit your mother's title in the future; Melody Nelson inevitably harbors resentment towards you. That's how it has always been throughout history, you should understand," Henry Ford calmly explained to her.
Iris shook her head, "I have no intention of inheriting her title."
Hearing this, Henry's gaze flickered slightly as he looked at Iris.
Iris propped her chin up and gazed out the window. The gentle breeze lightly tousled the fine strands of her bangs, causing her calm eyes to flow slowly like a stream, clear and vacant.
"I just want to meet my mother; nothing else matters to me."
Henry smiled and asked, "After meeting the lady duchess, where will you go? Back to River City?"
Iris shook her head, "I haven't decided yet. But I probably won't go back."
