Using his own gravity in combination with gravitational force, Blaine was able to descend at the fastest possible speed while still ensuring his safety.
However, several minutes had already passed. Even if the bottom were more than ten kilometers away, logically speaking, he should have almost reached it by now. Yet the strange thing was that Blaine was still descending.
Whoosh—
The flame Blaine had just summoned was thrown straight downward beneath his feet.
With the light of the fire, Blaine was finally able to see a bit farther. However, before he could find any useful information, the flame went out with a soft pop.
You had to know that, in order to prevent the flame from being extinguished by the rushing air during his fall, Blaine had deliberately used an advanced version of elemental flame. Even so, it was still extinguished. That meant that, setting aside the wind, there had to be some kind of energy down here—something interfering with Blaine's descent and preventing him from exploring further.
"Ouch, damn it,"
"Is this like hitting a ghost wall?"
Still falling, Blaine couldn't help but feel a trace of panic.
"Forget it. I'll use it."
Since something was clearly blocking him, Blaine didn't want to stay here any longer. Logically speaking, that mysterious voice should have appeared the moment he arrived, but now Blaine had practically checked the entire crater and that thing still hadn't shown itself.
Encountering something this wicked—especially in such an unknown place—Blaine temporarily suppressed his curiosity.
He swiped his wrist, trying to use the weakened version of the Space Stone ring to tear open a spatial rift and escape from here.
However, what happened next made Blaine even more uneasy. The Space Stone ring, which had always been reliable, malfunctioned at this moment. As Blaine's wrist passed through the air, several strands of spatial turbulence flickered, barely tearing open a fist-sized crack in space before it collapsed. Darkness swallowed everything once again, and all returned to silence.
"I'm screwed,"
"No matter what I do, I can't leave, and I can't even see anything,"
"Am I supposed to just keep floating around in midair like this?"
"System, get out here,"
"Explain what's going on,"
"This weakened version of the Space Stone ring isn't a counterfeit, right?"
"Don't tell me this thing even has a usage limit?"
At this point, Blaine had no other options. Even the Space Stone ring couldn't be used. Aside from hiding in Hunter Space, there was nothing else he could do—but even if he hid there, it wouldn't solve the problem. He would still be stuck in this place.
[[The weakened version of the Space Stone ring] is indeed a counterfeit product.]
[It is an imitation based on the [Space Stone].]
[But there is no such setting as a limited number of uses.]
[This product is reusable. Aside from its cooldown time, the host may use it freely.]
[As for why a spatial rift cannot be torn open here.]
[That is because the space in this area has been reinforced by special techniques.]
[If the space outside is like a concrete wall.]
[Then the space here is like a vibranium wall.]
[You can imagine what a weakened version of the Space Stone ring can do against it.]
[Unless the host purchases the [Space Stone], this space cannot be broken.]
"Don't talk to me. Shut up."
