At that moment, the wobbly cabinet in the corner finally gave way. It collapsed with a crash, scattering into a pile of parts on the floor.
"...It seems blind people really are not suited for this kind of assembly work," Blind Al said, sounding a little embarrassed.
"It is great that you understand that now," Deadpool said from the sofa. He nodded in agreement.
"It is okay. You have your sight back now," Lin Yu said to her kindly. "You can do all the things you enjoy."
"That is right. Thank you, young man," Blind Al said to Lin Yu with a warm smile.
Then, with Lin Yu and Deadpool watching, she walked steadily around the room. Her eyes moved over everything, seeing the environment she had only been able to feel with her hands before.
"Wade, I am leaving now. I will come to see you another time," Lin Yu said to Deadpool. He then took out his phone-shaped device, Xiao Ai, and sent his contact information to Deadpool's phone. "I sent you my number. Remember to call me if you find anything fun happening."
"Okay, thank you," Deadpool said. He gave Lin Yu a very big, tight hug. "If you ever need my help with anything, like stabbing someone in the... you know where... just come find me." He sounded completely sincere, but his hand "accidentally" brushed against Lin Yu's backside.
"Okay, goodbye, Wade," Lin Yu said. He pushed Deadpool away just before his hand could grab anything. He then smiled at Blind Al, who had finished her tour of the room. "Goodbye, Ms. Al."
"Goodbye, young man. Please come visit when you are free," Blind Al replied with a smile.
"I will," Lin Yu said. He waved one last time and then vanished from the spot, leaving behind only a brief flash of blue light.
"That young man is amazing," Blind Al said, truly impressed.
"Of course he is. It takes that kind of power to come here from a certain real world," Deadpool said casually.
"What world?" Blind Al asked, confused. But Deadpool often said strange things she could not understand. She decided to just ignore it. "I need to find my cocaine. We have had a very strange day. Wade, where did you hide it this time?"
"Find it yourself. I am going to see Vanessa," Deadpool said. He then walked out the front door without looking back.
"You little bastard. You have no respect for your elders," Blind Al muttered, shaking her head. She began searching the apartment.
…
"Welcome back, Mr. Lin Yu," Jarvis's calm, polite voice sounded as soon as Lin Yu appeared in the living room of Tony's villa.
"Yes, I am back," Lin Yu said. He looked around the large, empty room. "Is no one home?"
"Mr. Stark is out. He went to see Colonel Rhodes," Jarvis informed him.
"What about Miss Potts?" Lin Yu asked.
"She is at the company. Do you need me to contact either of them for you?" Jarvis offered.
"No, that is fine," Lin Yu said with a shake of his head. He walked upstairs to his own room.
"What should I do now?" Lin Yu wondered aloud. He was lying on his bed, bored, staring at the ceiling. Many of the big events in this world had not started yet. He could not think of anything interesting to do.
"Ah, forget it. I will just watch some videos for a while," he decided. He called up Xiao Ai's virtual screen and opened a video streaming site, similar to the one he knew from his old world.
That was right. Lin Yu had been very surprised to find it last night. He did not expect that after traveling to the Marvel universe, he could still access a site like this. It was amazing that it existed here, too.
The only thing was, the year in this world was 2014. So, he could only find a lot of old shows, ones he had already seen in his own universe. It was better than nothing, though. And besides those old shows, he also found a few strange ones that did not exist in his old universe. They were unique to this world, so he watched them with great interest.
Soon, it was noon. Lin Yu went downstairs and saw that Tony and Pepper were still not back. He had no choice. He went out to buy some food. When he returned, Jarvis spoke to him.
"Mr. Lin Yu, Tony has returned. He is waiting for you in the basement."
"Oh, I see," Lin Yu said. He quickly finished his meal. It was a luxurious hot dog he had bought from a famous food city in China, loaded with steak, eggs, and cheese.
He shook his hands quickly, the movement a blur, to get rid of any grease. Then he walked towards the basement of the villa.
…
"Jarvis, are you there?"
"Always, sir."
In Tony's private underground workshop, Tony was looking at the four large virtual screens and the many holographic projections that filled the room. He had just returned from visiting his best friend, Colonel Rhodes. He had asked Rhodes to help him with his new armor project, but had been turned down.
"I want to start a new project file," Tony said, his hands moving quickly as he manipulated the virtual images. "The index name will be Mark 2."
Because the timeline of this world was a bit later, the conditions of Tony's workshop were much more advanced, similar to what was seen in "Iron Man 2." Even though Tony in this universe had not officially become Iron Man yet, his holographic projection technology was already very mature. It could fill the entire room, unlike the simpler setup from the first "Iron Man" movie that Lin Yu remembered.
"Shall I save it to the company's central database?" Jarvis asked.
"Right now, I do not know who to trust," Tony said. He walked over to the hologram of the Mark 1 armor, the one he had built in a cave. "If I cannot trust others, then save it to my private server for now."
"So, this is a secret project this time?" Jarvis inquired.
"I do not want anyone else messing it up," Tony said. He began taking apart the virtual parts of the Mark 1 suit and throwing them into a virtual trash can. "Even if I mess it up, it will be my own failure."
"Sir, Mr. Lin Yu has returned," Jarvis announced after Tony had been working for a while. Tony was sitting on a stool, taking a sip of coffee.
After thinking for a moment, Tony said, "Send him down to me."
"Yes, sir," Jarvis replied.
A short time later, Lin Yu came down the stairs and entered the workshop.
"Tony, are you working on your armor?" Lin Yu asked. He looked at the complex holographic projections all around them.
The scene was a little different from the workshop in the first "Iron Man" movie that Lin Yu had seen. But then he remembered the different timeline of this world and felt relieved. It was normal for a universe that was not the exact movie universe to have some small differences.
