So, on my AO3, my two most recent projects are one translation and one original fanfic. Yes, I finally worked up the courage to write a fanfic completely from scratch.
The translation already has an official English version titled Shift! The Side Character Heroine, which is available in Webnovel. It is yuri, or F/F. The basic premise is that the main character transmigrates into a plain but beautiful and wealthy heiress. She gains a golden finger called "Dimensional Gate," which allows her to enter anime, manga, or game worlds and become the characters inside them. If the character she plays is memorable enough, she can inherit that character's abilities. In a way, it is like quick transmigration, with the main character evolving into a "Bright Moonlight" figure from an originally unremarkable side character.
Compared to the official translation, my approach is different. I usually translate in two layers, Skeleton and Expansion. Now I have added another layer. Step two is no longer just Expansion, where I add concrete sensory details, small actions, and atmospheric grounding to make scenes more vivid. It also includes Smoothing. That means improving narrative flow, restructuring sentences for better rhythm, deepening emotional beats, and adjusting overall pacing.
While working on this project, I also wanted to add things that differ from the original text. You will notice more differences here compared to my other works. The closest comparison is probably Su Min's story. From the beginning, my intention was to add more scenes and make broader changes. I may also add more chapters. As for sex scenes, I plan to include more detail, similar to how I handled Su Min and Xie Yingying, but without crude language. I am honestly too shy for that.
This isn't just about adding extra chapters to improve flow or expanding hidden plots and hints like I did in Su Min's story. I want to go further with this project. I might add more plotlines to make her stronger, or add more girls around her, pulling them into that rabbit hole with her, including more intimate moments together. Because of all this, this version could be very different from both the official translation and the raw version.
The second project, the pure fanfic, is a Harry Potter fanfic. The premise is a self insert Y/N story, meaning the main character is essentially me, dropped into the Harry Potter universe. Instead of being born as a native witch, this follows a transmigration theme. The heroine arrives with knowledge of the future from the books and movies and plans to use that knowledge to navigate the dangerous parts of the wizarding world.
The story follows the main Harry Potter plot, but with significant additions. At its core, I use the rich backstory and worldbuilding from the fanfiction Basilisk Born as a foundation, then layer my own expansions on top, especially regarding different families and their histories.
The main character is Nimue Keith, or her full formal name, Morwenna Jane Alienor Alberich Emrys-LeFay. She is a pureblood witch from the ancient and respected Keith family, with deep roots in dark magic. Her magical education begins early, taught by her family in the old ways before she ever sets foot in Hogwarts.
"Nimue" is the Lady of the Lake in Arthurian legend, connected to both Merlin and Morgana, which makes it a perfect bridge name tying those bloodlines together.
Let me break down her heritage, because it matters.
On her mother's side is Jane Cassie Evans. In this story, the Evans family is not entirely the Muggle family from canon. There is still a blood connection to Lily Evans, which makes the main character and Harry cousins. However, this branch of the Evans family descends from the Le Fay family in France, yes, that Le Fay, as in Morgana Le Fay.
This connection brings certain traits. The Evans line carries parseltongue through generations, which means Harry's ability to speak to snakes comes from his bloodline, not from being a horcrux. The famous Evans green eyes are also a marker of this heritage, eyes that have seen magic for centuries.
On her father's side is Jack Dale Keith, head of the Keith family. The Keith family claims direct descent from Emrys, better known as Merlin. While the modern magical world remembers him as the greatest wizard who ever lived, the founder of the Old Ways and Arthur's ally, the Keith family knows him as an ancestor, as blood, and as the source of both their power and their duty to preserve ancient knowledge. The family is extremely old, older than Hogwarts and older than the Ministry. They have seen empires rise and fall, and through it all, they have preserved their traditions, rituals, and dark magic for over a thousand years.
"Alberich" is a extremely rare condition or mark. It refers to a Keith-Evans, or Emrys-LeFay, descendant who inherits exactly half from both sides, by blood and by magic. Being an Alberich is one of the key reasons why she becomes so powerful.
The main character first meets Harry when they are seven years old. Since they are cousins through the Evans bloodline, their paths cross long before Hogwarts letters arrive. This early bond shapes both of their futures. On top of that, her father's side is connected to the Black family through marriage, which also makes her Draco's cousin. For romance, my current focus is on Daphne and Fleur.
Her family also cares deeply about Harry, especially early in the story. This will introduce more about the connection between Jane and Lily.
Now that I have explained my two latest projects, here is why I am writing this announcement.
I will be deleting both Games Invade Reality and Glitched Highway Apocalypse from my Webnovel account and replacing them with my latest AO3 projects. I already have epub versions of both novels, and I will upload them to my Google Drive and Terabox today. I plan to keep the stories up for one or two more days before deleting them and making the switch.
